I was recommended by an existing client of theirs when I needed some stuff looked at pertaining to the undercarriage of my car. My Dad had always been close enough to help me out if I ever had an issue with my car, but that became difficult to rely on when I moved about 4 hours away for graduate school. I am so happy I listened to the recommendation I was given for American & Import Auto Repair because they just genuinely care about people over their own profits in a way that is HARD to find in this day and age. Every staff member I have interacted with has treated me with the utmost respect and understanding - even when I ask what could be considered "stupid" questions given my lack of experience handling even my own Auto Maintenance. I loved my first experience with them so much that I decided to switch to them for my oil changes as well. While at my most recent oil change, I saw a flyer for their annual women's car clinic that they host for free and reserved a spot for myself and a friend. This past Saturday I attended the clinic and they went so above and beyond that it genuinely touched my heart. They had wonderful goody bags just for attending with stuff that you actually need and can use instead of just random things. They even included a notebook for taking notes at the clinic too! I learned so much at this event and was able to ask as many questions as I liked. The really big thing that stood out to me was when the owner, Tim, spoke at the beginning of the clinic and clarified that they were not trying to sway us to use them instead of any other place an attendant of the clinic might regularly go to, but that the event was meant to empower us women no matter where we get services done. This place has earned my business for however long I am in this area and I will always recommend them to anyone I know!

We've known Shane for a little over five (5) years with him servicing every single one of our vehicles -- a Jeep TJ, 2 VW Jettas, a Chevy Traverse, a Ford F-350 and 2 Dodge Ram 1500s. He has NEVER steered us wrong -- and he and Joe do excellent work! Case in Point: Our son's 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 started smoking, which we thought was simply valve stem seals. (It's a common issue ...) Joe took a deeper look; ran compression tests; bore-scoped the cylinders; etc. And, in the end, we determined that it was badly worn compression rings, as well as a tired engine. But, rather than go back into debt on a new truck or waste money on this old, tired engine, the guys set us up with a replacement engine -- and stayed within our budget. This "new" engine purrs like a kitten with an unlimited mileage / one year warranty that covers all parts and labor. There aren't too many shops around here that will still undertake such "mechanic-ing," but THESE guys are true to the trade!
