I've seen some mixed reviews on this store and it's understandable. Running shoes are not that simple, everyone is different! For reference I'm trail running about 8 miles a week and my old shoes were giving me a blister. I went in the first time and came out with shoes that gave me the same problem. I brought them back about 2-3 weeks later and exchanged them for another pair. The second pair is perfect! Brandon helped me the second time and he was incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable and really helped educate me on why I was having the issue with the other pair. Highly recommend this shop, and if you can get Brandon he knows his stuff. read more

Recently bought a pair of Hoka Bondi running shoes. After trying them several times kept getting blisters on my right heel. Went back into the store to see what could be done, working with Abby we figured out the shoes had a heel lift defect that was causing the problem. I had an amazing experience here! First off, I met the owners Ken & Deb at the Golden Farmer's Market last summer. Stopping by their booth and introducing myself as a fairly new runner, they had so much information and friendly conversation for me. They invited me to their Thursday group runs at 6:00 which I have still yet to attend. My work schedule just doesn't work with that time but I would love to join sometime! I recently stopped in for some better shoes and supplies to train for my first half marathon. I was greeted by Paige and we immediately got the process started. She put me in a pair of running shoes and asked me to run on the treadmill. She took video of my feet hitting the ground and we discussed the results together. Paige was very informative and definitely knows her stuff! I must have tried on 10 pair of shoes. Paige was very knowledgeable and introduced a few shoes at a time detailing the highlights and purpose of each shoe. I practiced outside and asked for some training tips in between trying on. I left with a pair of shoes I am absolutely loving, some blister socks, a water bottle, and some gels and protein bars. They have a variety of running gear and needs, definitely check it out for yourself. My experience was wonderful and it was awesome to get some advice from a marathoner! read more

The BEST running store!! I walked in randomly after taking my dog to the vet (right by runners high) and was immediately impressed. Not only do they carry great brands (no Nike, so much oiselle), but you can just feel that it's owned by good people. Deb was so fun to interact with and she's obviously great at understanding what female runners of different body types want (hello longer running shorts!). I will forever buy my running gear from them. And they're about to open another location! Love this store, give them your money, leave happier. read more

Forgot to leave a review when I came in this summer, but so glad I remembered now! If any running store in Denver deserves recognition, its this one. I am a very tiny person and I have the feet to match. I do intense training that includes plenty of running (and was struggling with shin problems) so I needed a really good pair of shoes. After stopping at numerous large running stores all around the Denver area only to find out they don't carry kids running shoes, I was so frustrated. My workout studio referred me to Runners High and I'm so thankful they did. Ken and Deb were so helpful...even though there was a family in there when we arrived who was getting fitted for cross country shoes we were helped right away and very thoroughly. My choices were limited because of my size, but they did have a good selection of kids shoes to pick from (yay!). Deb talked to me about my workouts and shin issues and looked at my gait and told me which pair she thought would work best and she was right on the money. I love my shoes so much! She also hooked me up with the best workout socks ever (I swear I will never go back to anything else) and gave me some awesome tips for stretching out my calves. This is just a really wonderful store and is run by the most amazing, knowledgable people. I'm going to need a new pair of shoes and some new socks soon, and even though I live in another state now and could just buy them online I'm going to send my mom to get them from Runners High and ship them to me because I'd rather support them than anywhere else. read more

Just have a happy feel when I enter this store...(though the restaurant next door does smidge that out a bit...ICK)...The owners are beyond kind and give discounts and take such care of GOLDEN! Turkey race...discounts to high school kids...they show you that they are so thrilled to be a part of this town.. I'm not a shoe shopper - but now ... I sit down and am transfixed by Ken's knowledge of shoes and Deb's instinct to know just what will work. I could easily go in and just point at one and she will say Yah or Nay ... My husband and I were visiting two of our adult children in the Boulder area recently. We love to explore surrounding areas, especially revisiting Red Rocks when possible. I was meeting a friend next door at the Lebanese restaurant and I needed to kill some time so I stopped into Runner's High. Little did I know that I would be purchasing the most comfortable running shoes that I would ever own! The store itself is laid out in such a way that is easy to navigate. The clothes are fantastic for the price! Typically, I find that boutique athletic stores have over priced apparel, so I don't usually bother scanning, but Runner's high has quality, stylish, athletic gear at a rate I can get with. I started to look at the shoes and the owner came right up with a big smile asking if I needed anything. He took so much pride in his store and helping his customers, I could immediately tell that he owned it. Upon chatting with him, I learned that he and his wife (both avid runners) co-own the store and there is even a darling picture of them donned in their sneaks and wedding apparel at the end of the Boston Marathon. They were both so happy to help and Deb inspired me to buy my new pair of shoes when she told me she ran 50 miles in them and found them to be one of her most comfortable pairs that she's ever owned.....well, OK you've got my attention. I was so happy with my time, experience, and purchase that even a month later, I am still sharing all about my Runner's High. read more

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm training for a half marathon and I've been getting blisters and having a lot of pain in my feet. Deb (I think) was very thorough and spent about 30 minutes with me to find the right shoes and inserts to solve my problems.
