Early Oct. 2025.My Landlord ordered 80 Lbs. of Bird Food/seed. I was to pick it up for her. upon arriving I could find no Will-Call. A check out employee summoned someone from the back of the store. He showed up again 20 min. later. I requested he load it into my vehicle, when we got to the vehicle he wanted a signature. I had no pen and tersely asked my wife if she had one. She did not. The individual pushed the cart all the way back to the store re-appeared 10 min. later with a pen. I signed, we left. When I got home, my Land Lord informed me the POLICE had called and wanted to do a welfare check on my wife because a Runnings employee had logged a complaint. WTF? I contacted management at Runnings Corporate but never received a follow up. My Land Lord said she will no longer order from Runnings. read more

Store itself is good with many very helpful associates. Problem with the Belle Fourche SD location is the store manager. Observed him being abusive to his teenage staff. Not cool. read more

I Purchased an expensive shirt to give to my husband for Christmas at an out of state Runnings. We found it was much too big when he received it for the holidays and I tried to return it to the Portage Wisconsin store, new with tags. I did not have the receipt and they totally refused to exchange it even though they had exactly the same item in the smaller size. This was a very frustrating experience and I will never step foot in a Runnings store again. read more

I purchased a riding lawn mower on line from the Mitchell SD store and was told it was in stock and would be ready for pickup the following day . I drove 70 plus miles to pick it up and was told they had sold it and did not have another one on hand!!! I will not ever do business with this company again did not even try to make it right and told me it was my fault I should have called first !! Lesson learned , do not do business with stores like this !!! read more

I love runnings but trying on clothes is a nightmare. No one to help you and then being told not to prop the door to the dressing room open while I get a different size. Then same employee runs off instead of asking if she could help instead. She told me I was supposed to stand in line again at the customer service to get back into the dressing room. After it took me 10 minutes to find someone to get me in the first time. Will not buy anything I have to try on. Runnings need to make it easier to try on things if they don't have the people to help. read more

Runnings has possibly the worst customer service/inventory management Ive ever come across. Multiple times Ive placed orders, they have been confirmed and 1-2 weeks later, they cancel because they dont have the product. I wouldn't care too much if its a pair of jeans, but when you order Vet supplies or things needed to doctor animals, this is just unacceptable. read more

Been looking for a pet food for awhile and never seem to have it. Plus overpriced. And the manager of that department is very rude! Can't seem to get an answer if they're getting more, if it's discontinued or anything. She's absolutely no help at all!! I'll go somewhere else from now on! read more

This will be a very specific review (As I go here for one specific genre of product). But know that there's a lot going on at Runnings. Runnings is,,in my opinion, the best and most modestly priced place in RC for anything for your pets. Specifically your canine companion. It's a clean store. Great customer service from floor associates to those friendly types at the register. All and all always a great experience. Do you need outdoor things? Maybe some candies? Clothes for work? Hens? So many other things that I've yet to discover in this store. Then you should pop in and see what the have to offer. This was concise and to the point and a quick review because all I can really talk about is the pet items. The rest of the store I imagine is just as great, and I'll find out about the rest one day. Until then know this is the place for "mans best friend's needs." read more

11/6/20 Jamestown location - runnings Time - 4 pm I met an angel who works at this place. Her name is MEGAN. She is amazing. She helped me with getting my winter gloves and hat. She knew every detail about this store. We talked about life and God. She touched my heart. I never met anyone like her. She has the best family values. She is a true reflection of this store. She really cares about her job and her customers. She is such a happy person.... I hope the manager reads this because MEGAN deserves to be acknowledged for being such a good person and worker. Because of MEGAN - me and my doctor friend are most definitely coming back to get a few more things. This store is very high quality just like MEGAN.. Thank you manager for keeping your store clean. Customer service is awful. They make it nearly impossible to return any item with a receipt. Will not give them anymore business

Sales clerk was not helpful. Wanted to buy new batteries for my drill. Runnings does not recycle batteries, which makes an extra trip to go to a recycling center. Obviously not buying my batteries there. I was overcharged on an item as I had 3 items, they scanned the higher priced item then charged me the higher price on the other 2. Not very happy with customer service. The staff act as they have to be there, not wanting to be there. read more

Assistant Store Manager Rod is disgusting. Today he was "using the facilities". Directly next to the door there is a large blue sign with white writing that says: Employees wash hands before returning to work. Or something close to that. Assistant Store Manager Rod feels that this sign does not apply to him. After handling his business, he happily walks over and grabs the door and door handle and exits the room. When I questioned him about his cleaning habits, he said "I use another sink in the other room because the water is hotter". So now Rod has handled the restroom door and another door that other employees are required to use for entry and exit. He has also bypassed the automatic sink in the men's room (that helps avoid the spread of germs) in favor of putting his waste cover mittens on yet a third surface in the store. He shrugged his shoulders as if to say that I'm making a big deal out of nothing. Assistant Store Manager Rod is disgusting! The other employees that were present were too afraid to say anything, as they noted "he's the assistant manager". His nasty bathroom habit don't need to be spread throughout the store. read more

This was by far the most fun I've had in a hardware store, they care stuff I've never seen and the usual stuff that the box chain stores also carry. Worth the drop by if your in the area, allocate at least an hour. read more

Merchandise is great, one stop shop for the most part. I only give this Runnings in Rapid City SD a 2 because this small city is notorious for bad customer service! And I struck "gold" again in this store! Cashier was an older caucasion stereotypical old fashioned lady, she was glaring and had a stone cold,clenched mouth face looking over her cash register, I look and shes glaring at a native family, having fun, browing and shopping!!! she did not greet me, look at me nor say one word to my Native American face! Low and behold my tall, caucasian (white) husband walks up and she greets him and says "thank you" to only him!! Excuse me! Im a hard working registered nurse whom pays federal,state, and local taxes just like the best of "them"!! Whomever the best of them may be! Blatant and disgusting representation Runnings has for employees!!! read more

Best store ever! Tools, hardware, fishing gear, archery gear, snacks, some clothing and footwear, firearms, farm supply and implements, yard work equipment (shovels and rakes to mowers and chippers), critter food, toys for the kiddos, etc, etc; plus a small liquor store inside near the check-outs. One of my favorite places to shop in Rapid. read more

this is a cool place that's equal parts hardware store, farm supply, and sporting goods stores, with a touch of wal-mart thrown in for good measure. also there is a liquor store there, which i found surprising. read more
