I have ordered more than a few items from Runway Curls and was always satisfied. However, my most recent "purchase" ensures I will no longer patronize this business. I ordered a custom wig for a total of $560 with an expectation that I would receive the product in 2-4 weeks. That period has come and gone as I enter week 8. I inquire weekly (to a customer service rep that calls me "dear" and "darling". I'm always told my order is "in production". I even offered an excuse "are they behind in production due to COVID19". Nope. Just "in production, dear". I have "threatened" seeking resolution through my credit card company (though I really didn't want to -- I wanted my product). Today I finally contacted and proceeded with action through my credit card company. Wouldn't you know ... my order shipped 3 hours later. I'm very curious to see what I receive and will update with the results. Regardless, I will never do business with them again as basic customer service is an expectation and they never, once, were preemptive in their service to me. Unacceptable. UPDATE 5 Jan 2020: I initially gave one star for their poor service but have upgrades to 3 stars based on the product I finally received. The product it actually a 4.5-ish -- I am very pleased with it. It's unlikely I'll do business with them again as customer service is extremely important to me. I have experienced some customer service issues with this Runway Curls from my first purchase. The product was wonderful! I am in love with it. For this reason I overlooked the fact that they charged my CC 2x what they should have,in error. Yes it was eventually refunded. I made an appointment a month in advance to get my hair done at their salon called "The Damn Salon". It boasts of a lovely atmosphere were beverages are served as you get your hair done amongst other interesting company. I saved some money and booked a 3 hour flight! When arrived for my appointment, the door was locked! Thank God I had a cellphone to call. I was told I needed to get my hair done at the nearby Barbershop . I had to spend hours looking a mess amongst all the men! That was a few months ago. Recently, I placed an order for over $150, a week ago! I checked the tracking information and USPS notes stated label printed but it had not been scanned by USPS. This means that they packed it up yesterday but it did not go out and travel in the mail system. This is a week after the order was created. I respectfully contacted the company. I explained that I work in e-commerce as well. I know mistakes happen. I asked that they overnight my package being that I need the supply for our hair appointment which is early Saturday morning (needed it tomorrow). I offered to refuse and send back the duplicate package if infact they sent it out. I was rudely denied. I was treated like a criminal trying to get over. I was told it was my fault for not letting them know I had a hair appointment. Am I wrong to expect reasonable shipping? I have received their packages in two days in the past. I trusted they would be consistent. Now I'm stuck, my option is to pay $200 for an overnight package and waste the previous $150 plus paid! They didn't waste time collecting my $ however! I'm angry! I will not have my hair done as I had hoped on my vacation. Unfortunately I hate to give up the great products but the service is disgraceful to say the least! And without a doubt, this hair is the best Natural Looking Hair/Wig anywhere. The hair is costly but worth every dollar. I gave purchased four wigs from them and love the recent one the best. Mushiya and Kanko, I would like to begin by saying a few years ago I watched a show Cutting it in the ATL. I do not know how long it had been on, but it got me! After watching the very first episode that Mushiya was in, I knew that she was a woman to admire and pay attention to. After only a few more shows I knew that if I ever considered a wig (never had even thought of wigs or extensions) ever, but when I saw her work and the quality of the product she was putting out there I felt this is a woman that knows her business and enjoyed what she was doing. As it turns out, over the next few years I started loosing my hair. The doctor told me I had male pattern baldness, it happens! Yup! It happened to me! I was devastated, the doctor offered to put me on hormone replacement to keep what I had. Down side, side affects...cancer.... Uhm let me see keep the hair that I have and get cancer or go damn bald and no cancer....decisions decisions. Tilting my head, I smiled and said Awe hell no! I will go ahead and choose bald! After coming to that conclusion, I dealt with the gradual hair loss right along my hair line and decided to let it grow. It was a bit easier to hide the bald spots with longer hair. In the past I had always worn it short. I also stopped relaxing my hair, as I really started to enjoy my curls! As my hair grew longer it also became thinner, so much so that I knew I needed to look at other options....light bulb moment! That Damn Salon!!!! Mushiya! Once I made up my mind to explore wigs as an alternative, who else would I contact?!? I went to her website Runway Curls and what I saw was an "ah ha" moment! Like WOW...pretty, really pretty wigs!! In comes Kanko!!!! Kanko made the shopping experience wonderful. She was quite patient with me as she answered ALL of my questions (not having ever had a wig before, never being up close and personal to a wig before), as you can imagine I had a plethora of questions! Now, even when it came to the prices of the wigs, (you get what you pay for), Kanko never made me feel as though she was wasting her time speaking to me if at that moment I was not going to buy anything. She very politely told me when I was ready she would be there to help me. A month later I was back on the website and chatting with Kanko again, with questions of course! One of which was, "so, if I order a wig now may I pay half of it and then upon completion, I can pay off the balance?" And...do you want to hear the most genius of answers?!? Kanko said "we have a payment plan!" MUSIC to my hears!!!! Ladies I ordered Dirty Girl right then and there!!!! 4 payments later wig was paid for and like this story could get any better, Kanko (the goddess), completes my order and checks to see if it can be shipped out the same day! Now, before you all blow up the website asking for Kanko, she made me no definitive promises it could be sent out, BUT she went that extra mile and checked if it could. Now that ladies is customer service! There aren't too many Kankos' around...and if there are they are diamonds in a sea of imitation glass!! All that glitters is not gold, BUT Kanko and Runway Way Curls shine bright!!!! Many thanks to you Mushiya and Kanko for making my very first wig purchase a most wonderful experience!
