They should call their bowls smoothie bowls, not acai bowls. If you want good acai bowls, you should check out a Playa Bowl location. At first, I was excited to try the many yummy sounding choices they had on display, but it wasn't as good as expected. Then, I thought it was watery because we got it to go, but at other acai bowl places, I've ordered a lot of bowls to go and the contents are not watery when I get home. Also, everything was too sweet for what looks like a seemingly healthy bowl. Sadly, this was our meal and it was very unsatisfactory. Most of my group who ordered didn't even finish their bowls because of those reasons. And, the girl working at the counter started off pretty nice, but towards the end, she seemed annoyed when we asked for a bag to carry what we ordered. And, it was raining outside that day. And she was not happy to give us another bag when we couldn't fit all our orders into that one bag she gave us. Hopefully, if you still decide go to here, at least you know what to expect in quality and service.

Quick stop to get the PB Crunch Smoothie and the Power bowl (with granola). Thoroughly enjoyed the smoothie since it was chunky with the ice just to my liking. I'm not a huge fan of watery smoothies so it was perfect on a humid day. The bowl was an alright option as well but nothing out of the ordinary. Definitely recommend getting the granola for a texture contrast and adds good flavor with the fruit chunks. Location has a couple small tables but more of a to go type or location.

So delicious! I tried the chai bowl with strawberries. The staff were very friendly and a clean atmosphere. Definitely more of a smoothie bowl but I like the consistency

Good but not amazing! I hate the fact that they use preserved juices to make their bowls... not what I intended. I got the beach bowl : Acai, Mango, Banana and Guava Juice, topped with Organic Granola and Honey. The honey ruined the whole taste.. I would suggest doing without it. Also takes to long to get your order... plus parking is a pain. It's ok to drop in if you work/school around the area but driving just for it...is not worth. It's pricy too.. you can get a decent wholesome meal elsewhere for $9-$10.

Graham berry - blueberry, blackberry frozen yogurt topped with granola, honey. This was a little sweet but overall the taste was delightful and refreshing. They have a variety of bowls all reasonably priced. Definitely want to try other flavors next time!

Unnecessary service delays, especially when I'm trying to start working, are a pain point for me. I had a craving for a morning açaí bowl and figured I could zip to Front Street since it was early and try a Rush Bowl if there was no line. I got there and there was nobody in line and I thought I was good. There was only one person working, and in fairness to her, she was trying to do a lot. She had to take phone calls and help people waiting for things, which is fine. I understand that. Then after a few minutes, she took my order for a Beach Bowl, which is mixed açaí, fruit and juice, and I ordered it topped with granola and strawberries. While I had been waiting, another customer arrived and got in line behind me. Rather, than start and finish my order, the Rush Bowl employee decided, for reasons unclear to me, to help the customer who had come in after me. She wanted a gift card. That customer had multiple questions, and there seemed to be technical issues with issuing the gift card. I stood there waiting for between 5 and 10 minutes while the only employee helped somebody who came in after me. I finally spoke up and indicated that I was in a hurry. The employee finished the gift card, and then it only took her about 2 minutes to start and complete my order. So to sum up, the customer behind me got helped immediately for something that took 5 to 10 minutes and I had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for something that took 2 minutes. Not a good experience. For this reason alone, I won't be back anytime soon. You've got to have better staffing, training and/or practices than that. As for the Beach Bowl, it was tasty and satisfying. The base was sweet, icy and acidic. The sliced strawberries were decent quality. The granola, however, was unremarkable. I've had better granola in other Açaí bowls and if I happened to buy that type of granola in the store, I wouldn't buy it again. The quality of the bowl was not an issue for me though. I'll give Rush Bowl 3 stars, the average of 2 for service and 4 for food.

Rush bowls is overall one of my top spots to go to when in the down town area. I feel like we don't have many areas like that around and having one right downtown is so convenient . Their smoothie bowls always have such a rich consistency to where it leave you wanting more and the staff are always so lively and outgoing. There's never a dull moment when you want into rush bowls and I truly believe it's a must go place when in the area.

I have tried so many smoothie places and acai bowls and this place tops all of them! The ingredients and fruit used are so fresh. I love the consistently and how my favourite bowl taste the same every time! The beach bowl is amazing with banana and their house made peanut butter! The staff is so nice and helpful as well!

Delicious smoothies and bowls = vegan and vegetarian heaven! I make a green smoothie every morning at home so I usually seek out a smoothie spot first thing when traveling. I was happy that Rush offered nutrition packed options and add-ons, GREENS, soy protein, nut butter, etc. not just your standard blended fruit and yogurt treat. We will definitely go again! Thanks Rush!

Stepping inside they have a warm space & Easy-to-Read menu . The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in they greet every customer and give you ample time to order without rushing you. They have tables outside for warmer days and limited seating indoors (bar stools and big window to people watch :) ) . They have limited parking in the area, but garages are close by and it's easy to park at the beginning of the week. The owner and his wife are very nice it was cool to listen to the backstory on how the concept began in different tastes, textures and add-ons . This is my second visit trying their power bowls which has sweeter versions and healthier ones. I've had a strawberry, BlackBerry, raspberry, protein mix, oats & almond milk topped with granola and honey. all blended together makes a nice purple color the consistency of a icy creamy sorbet. Graham Berry : blueberry, blackberry, milk, graham cracker and frozen yogurt all topped with extra blueberries Graham and honey. It was a little sweet but the overall taste was delightful. Peach Cobbler : peaches, banana, cinnamon, peach juice, milk and frozen yogurt with organic granola, honey and cinnamon on top. This was absolutely delicious where my son did not want to share. The bathrooms are very clean and they even have his and her toilets, lol. I was even able to bring my dog home her own bowl of goodness (frozen) complete with a milkbone frozen ontop . I had to drive 30 minutes home and it still lasted.

Rush bowls is a great place to grab a fresh smoothie or acai bowl in the downtown Hartford area. They are right next to UConn's Hartford campus. Keep in mind, though, that there is limited metered parking available, so parking can be a hassle. They have a bowl of the week that you can add strawberries and granola to for free which was a nice touch. I ordered the beach bowl which is their signature acai bowl (and which happened to be their bowl of the week). It is packed with acai, banana, and mango. It was excellent! Overall, the menu was quite expansive and had a variety of options. Far more than a typical acai bowl spot. The price ranged from $6.99 to $7.99 without any extra toppings. The interior was well done. There is cool art on the walls, decent seating, and an open space to see them preparing your order. Ultimately, I would return. The experience was quite positive and I didn't have any complaints aside from parking.

Delicious fresh smoothies after a workout.. we had the Green Rx : avocado, kale, spinach, pineapple juice, guava juice , coconut milk and matcha and the tropical bliss: strawberries, banana, pineapple and I removed the froyo. It was refreshing and filling

I am officially in love with Rush Bowls CT! Their smoothies and açai bowls are perfect for any meal: breakfast, lunch, mid afternoon snack, dinner! Every time I walk into Rush Bowls CT the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Let me add that I was highly impressed that I was greeted by name the second time I walked in. The staff is always patient as I decide which flavors I want to try and at times will give me suggestions of which flavors to mix and match. They always have fresh, delicious flavors to match the season, and I'm never disappointed. All their smoothies and açaí bowls are made to order in less than 2 minutes. The staff is also patient with us bloggers/instagramers who need to record our videos, take pictures, or need specific ingredients added to our bowls. During Memorial Day weekend I was able to get my açaí bowl to represent the American flag (strawberries, coconut, and blueberries) as my toppings. Great place for Instagram pictures! The store is always clean, comfortable, and has a spacious atmosphere. During summer hours their patio also has tables outside to relax and enjoy your smoothie/açaí bowl! I highly recommend the Beach Bowl: Acai, banana, mango, guava juice. Topped with organic granola & honey.

Future terrasse. Think warm thoughts !!

I work in customer service, so I always make it a point to be VERY kind to the workers--especially women, who are taught to be apologetic! However, it was a challenge when she also told me they weren't making milkshakes that day. She said, "No. We're not doing those," and proceeded to roll her eyes again. It's not about what you say--it's about HOW you say it. Additionally, the service took a long time. I felt really bad for the cashier because she was the only one working, which meant my order took about 20 minutes to make. She was balancing two other transactions as well... I remained patient but left feeling a little disrespected. I completely understand the pain & stress of being in customer service, but you shouldn't take it out on others. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but I was hurt by her demeanor (I felt like I had to apologize just for being there). Anyways, the bowl was yummy and filling, so it boosted my mood immediately. I got the U-N-I-T-Y bowl and ate it outside. Very refreshing! I also got a banana smoothie. It was pretty bland, but luckily I was full from the açaí bowl. I would come here again. Since I knew I would be waiting, I politely asked if I could use the restroom. I was told no. I initially assumed there had been a misunderstanding, so I explained that I wasn't a random passerby looking for a public restroom. I was there to pick up an active DoorDash order and would be waiting while they finished preparing it. Unlike employees who have a workplace with designated break areas and restroom access, delivery drivers spend their entire workday on the road. We don't have a home base to return to between orders. Because of that, we often rely on the basic courtesy of restaurants and businesses we partner with while conducting pickups and deliveries. Most businesses understand this and treat drivers respectfully. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. What happened next was what bothered me most. Rather than simply explaining their policy and treating me with basic courtesy, the employees largely stopped engaging with me altogether. They avoided eye contact, ignored my attempts to communicate, and acted as though I wasn't standing there. It was an incredibly dehumanizing experience. After waiting several more minutes, I said, "I could have been done by now." The only response I received was, "It's not for the public." I again explained that I was there for an active pickup and was waiting on an order that still wasn't ready. Once again, I was met with silence. To be clear, I completely understand that businesses located on busy commercial streets cannot allow every random person who walks in off the street to use their restroom. That's not what this situation was. I was there performing a service directly connected to their business. DoorDash drivers are part of the fulfillment process that allows restaurants to participate in DoorDash, reach additional customers, and generate revenue from delivery orders. I wasn't asking for special treatment--just the basic courtesy of using the restroom while waiting on an order that they were still preparing. What makes this even more frustrating is that if the order had been ready when I arrived, I would have already been gone. The only reason I was standing there waiting was because of the restaurant's delay. At that point, I decided to unassign myself from the order, even though it was a high-paying delivery. If a business is unwilling to show basic respect to the drivers helping deliver its orders, then it can find someone else to complete those deliveries. I will also be reporting this experience to DoorDash so they are aware of how drivers are being treated at this location. To fellow Dashers: I strongly encourage you to decline orders from this establishment and spend your time supporting businesses that treat delivery drivers with professionalism and basic human dignity. To potential customers: please consider whether this is the kind of business you want to support. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, including the people helping get your food to your door.

They have a deep menu with all sorts of customizable Smoothies, three kinds of toasts, and Wraps. We went for lunch today and decided on a "to go" order of their Avocado Toast. We paid our $5.84 and waited for the order to be assembled. After a few minutes, a manager approached us to say they couldn't make the avocado toast because they had run out of bread. Now... since you can't really make an Avocado Toast, Peanut Butter Banana Toast, or Hummus Toast without toast, and you can't really make toast without bread, we understood why they couldn't give us the order we had already paid for. But they made things right by offering us something else, so we opted for a chicken quesadilla which we received for no additional charge. The quesadilla was good with a nice mix of chicken and cheese.
