When we called this car dealer to get information about the car they laughed when we said the car caught fire. These people are the WORST business people and VERY RUDE. I will NEVER go here again. Dear Eddie, I miss…read moreyou. Or maybe not really. Only kind of. You see, I don't drive that green jalopy any more. You know, the one that you somehow kept alive for me. It was dying a slow death but I wasn't ready to replace it. Ah, the memories. Do you remember the time that the steering wheel got stuck in an odd position? You were able to create a part to replace a small, broken piece in the movement of the steering column. So, instead of a bill that would have been well over $500, you charged me $100. We have so many of these shared memories, you and me. Did you know that the AC finally broke? Yep. There was a horrible grinding sound and I was tired of getting things fixed. I'm tough, so I kept on driving. The right side window also stopped rolling up. I had to park, get out, and push it manually. Eventually it would slide back down but it was summer and I needed the breeze. However, when the heater broke on the way back home in December in the middle of a rainstorm and my window wouldn't roll up, I had to call it quits. No more jalopy. Now I have a car that runs. The windows roll up (and stay up). The heater and AC work. I'm in car heaven, but I miss you. Do you see my dilemma? I can't help but miss an honest mechanic, one who thinks ahead, keeps a gal's car running and safe, but understands how to stretch a dollar. Some day, when this car gets old, I'll be back. Running out of gas so I wanted a close station. Looked on Waze and the first place was a "sponsored…read moread" for this place. I pump my gas and figure out that it is $10 more than usual! I take a step back and see the gas is a $1 more than the rest. Granted, my brain betrayed me and I didn't compute the extra $3.65 instead of $2.65 . So it is my fault. But the idea was so not in my head that someone could charge so much more! But what shady gas station charges a $1 more. When the Valero a few blocks down charges $1 less. This guy probably wants to keep the 76 branding but not pay for the gas. And make his money off his repair service. I would have just shaken it off, but I see the owner come out and look at me looking at the sign. Like he's getting a kick out of seeing people realize they overpaid. Shady shady shady.

A friend gave me their phone number and so I called to have them come out and give me an estimate. They came out and told me it would be $300 and that it would take a couple of hours. Someone shattered my rear window while I parked on the streets in LA. My insurance recommended this…read moreplace to me. They did not have the part available so I had to wait a week until my car was ready. How inconvenient, especially when you do not have rental car insurance. Total cost came up to about $1300, thank god for a low deductible. However, my raybans got stolen from the car when I went to pick it up. Also, gone from my car were my new car fragrance and a new roll of trash bags which were in the trunk. I called to complain but guess what the guy said "We have trash bags, the workers wouldn't need to take it". Right... I guess you can trust your workers who may or may not be illegal immigrants. They provided me a ride back to my place which was nice, otherwise they wouldn't even be getting 1 star.

The owner and one of his top mechanics were race engineers for Honda when they still lived in Japan, so suffice it to say that you'll be in good hands with them. The reason I didn't give them higher ratings are the following: 1). They aren't computerized. Therefore they have no record of what's been done to our car. They also won't know what maintenance schedule to follow aside from the general intervals. 2). They aren't tuner friendly. What I mean is that if you've got a car with various tuner mods, they won't mess with the settings even if you ask them to. But keep in mind, this isn't a tuner shop and they don't want to be liable should anything happen. However, installation of basic tuner parts are generally performed if requested (ie suspension, brakes, intake). For basic maintenance at affordable prices, you can come to these guys. I've been doing so for nearly a decade now for both my daily driver and tuner and have had no issues. They're good people that perform good work.

He was. My F100 came back running better than ever. And when it came time to rebuilding the carb on my '65 Mustang, there was no hesitation as to who I was going to take it to. Once again, the car came back running great. I hope to not need his services again, at least not anytime soon, but I'm glad I found someone who can take care of the task if I ever do.
