Fun place with a lot of different activities, the main activity being the go kart. We had a group of 6 people so we were mixed with about 4 others that we did not know, which if we were to go again we'd definitely get enough friends to reserve the go kart for that time frame to ourselves. Being mixed with others, cause a lot of road rage and made it into bumper cars. We also saw a couple of people get hit pretty bad that they needed escorted off the course but the staff was very responsive and gave a lot of warning to the dangerous drivers. Great little location, racing sims, a few menu options and of course Karting. Karts are EVs and go up to about 40mph. It's fine to bring a goPro as long as it's secured and/or your own helmet if those are your preferences. The food is adequate but expect faster smaller items. Where they tend to seem to focus is on corporate events or larger groups and they do have alacart catering style for those. Also pro tip be aware that because they run a lot of corporate groups you need to check the calendar to make sure the track is free before you go down there and realize it is booked up for the next few hours. read more

Family came here for some go-kart fun and we did. RushHour Karting - RTP is one of two facilities owned by the company, but over here which is the newer of the two, they have a go-kart track that spans two levels which was pretty sweet. Although I called and was told that there was plenty of availability without a wait, by the time we got there it was a hour and a half wait time before racing. We decided to stick it out. We registered at the front "iPad" kiosks with our info and then moved to the front desk to pay. We were placed in a "family" race which meant we had someone younger than 15 in our group. The very clean facility had sections for axe throwing, video games, virtual reality, kitchen, and more than plenty of seating in quite comfortable plastic chairs. They also have a seating section to watch the upper track or eat, and party/meeting rooms. Several TVs were around showing track position, racer names and photos, or sports! They have skeeball, one pinball game, foosball, air hockey, several claw machines, basketball shooting game, and others. My friends purchased some food including mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers which were a lot better than he expected with little breading and plump chicken. They also have beer and liquor. If you're driving the go-karts, they mark your band and you cannot go over your limits or else you're not driving. Sodas (Pepsi products, yuck) are free refills (yea!). Before racing, you get the safety lecture explaining the flags and rules, and you put on your neck brace, head sock (you buy this or bring your own helmet), and helmet. Once in the cars, they explain how to reverse if needed and then it's go time! The Karts can hit 45mph but I really didn't see anyone getting that close. Our group fastest was 30.99mph. We had at least one yellow flag which slowed all down. I saw one young racer get escorted out of his car and off the track at an earlier race because he bit his tongue and needed some paper towels. All the young staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The staff running the track were keeping all safe and watching out for those who got their licenses out of a Cracker Jack box. We did see someone get the black flag and then got it again resulting in them being pulled over and a talking to taking away from their eight minutes of racing. Because of the number of people, the process for getting people on and off the course was quite smooth and seemed highly efficient. For my family, we had one who didn't race. So she took a bunch of photos. The three of us who did came to about $90 which included the headsock and one race. If you become a member, then the price per race goes down. I'm sure they also have leagues. This would also be a great date, team building, or family fun night out. read more

RushHour Karting RTP is now open! Located across from the Wake Competition Center, past the soccer fields, lies a new section of the plaza. Both Rush Hour Karting and Urban Air will occupy this section but let's focus on the go-karts for now! While the original Rush Hour Karting is out in Garner, this new RTP location is killer. Built from scratch, it features a 2-level go-kart course, electric go-karts, an axe-throwing area, high-end racing simulators, arcade games, and a kitchen with pizza oven. Not all of their amenities are up and running right now but soon! There's also a private event area and platform perch to watch all the racing action. They are in soft open mode right now but I was super impressed, At $25 per 10 minute race, it's not cheap but certainly fun. Review for Rushhour karting RTP location TLDR: Upscale location. Highly recommended for racing enthusiasts and families. Saturday best day for arrive & drive, no group reservations on Saturdays only for karting. Many other activities too, see website. Better than Garner location. If you go on a different day other than Saturday for arrive and drive I recommend calling beforehand. They might be able to fit you into a group but higher chance of a wait. I went on Saturday during the early afternoon and it was not crowded and they got me in the very next race no wait time, granted though I was the one racing in my "group." If you are racing 2-4 people then I would think that that would increase the chances of having a bit of a wait time (arrive and drive is up to 4 people according to the website). The large building can also accommodate a lot of people comfortably, and it's in a very nice area and the facility is nice too, so I recommend this place for families. The track is super grippy. I think this is the grippiest indoor track I've ever raced on. Karts are also very responsive and easy to drive so it makes for a very good racing experience. So I highly recommend this location for enthusiasts too. Karts top out at 40-45 mph as per usual for indoor places. They are electric here, gas at Garner. Even if you prefer gas karts, the experience here at RTP is way better in every way, so I still recommend this place more. At RTP, there are way more activities, a much nicer facility and in a much nicer area. The electric karts at RTP are just as responsive and just as fast if not faster than the gas ones at Garner. The karts themselves are very good at both locations though, but the track at RTP is also more grippy. I read on their website that they have a golf simulator so I might check that out one day. I recommend checking out their website for a list of all the activities available, you might find something else you like. You could easily kill a lot of time here with everything they have to offer. read more

Went to the one in Garner on a Sunday. Was told it was a 2 hour wait so Heather at the Garner location called the manager Ben at the Morrisville locations to inquire about the wait. Was told he could get us in in an hour, so we took the 30 minute drive to Morrisville. Walked in, spoke to Ben at the front desk and was told we could get on in 30 minutes and to walk to checkin. Walked directly to check in, only to be told it's a 2 hour wait and that we couldn't be fit in. We drove over an hour to get to Garner and then another 30 minutes here only to be told this was not possible and we could not take 2 hours for an 8 minute race. Terrible planning. Ben should have put our name in when we called from Garner and stated we'd be heading directly there to lock our spot in. This was terrible customer service and communication issues should be corrected. read more

This place is amazing! Love the air conditioned indoor track which makes karting a 365 day activity in the Triangle. Friendly staff and there are other games (air hockey, driving simulations, axe throwing, etc) to keep you entertained in between races. Seating area on the second floor and at the hairpin corner gives you plenty of action to witness - including spin outs and crashes - and to learn from. With the annual membership and 10 race credit purchase, races are $12 each which is reasonable value. Electric karts means you are not spending any time breathing engine fumes. I had high expectations which were not met. The place is super clean and has plenty of amenities. Best time to go is early during the week for best price and no lines. Cars are slow and little to zero opportunity to pass. Then have an uphill section which slows the cars down even worse. I probably won't be back again unless all the friends force me to go. I will just drink beer while they race. Gas carts in Garner better. For best go karting go to GoPro motor Plex near Charlotte. Nothing else compares. read more

Simulator not fully program to use all functions and staff push my chair to close to steering wheel so I seriously injured my wrist when I crash the car in the game and the steering wheel started to spin very aggressively and caught my right hand but still had a great time at this place. Purchased a virtual race. The person running it wouldn't let us choose anything except the car. I asked about manual shifting and he told me no. I wrecked on lap 2 and was trying to get onto reverse. He told me to hit this "as he's pointing" paddle. I hit it multiple times as he laughed and said oh your wheel is upside down. He said it wasn't his fault I wrecked. Then proceeded to hang out right next to my seat over my shoulder... I asked him to leave multiple times as he continued to evade my personal space. Not an enjoyable experience! after years of riding at the garner location and knowing multiple employees I had taken the trip to RTP to check out the new electric karts and track. of which the karts were terribly maintained, number 69 i watched the tire bouncing in the straights while driving it, I mentioned to staff after the race and they did not seem to care and continued to use it in service. the briefing was skipped since my party had been there before aside from me. so reverse was never explained. in my third race I was hit multiple times by a driver and nobody ever threw a flag and even was put manuevered in the hairpin turn. staff lacking majorly in the aspect of being on top of things. 3/10 experience and will likely continue to go to the original, much better ran and maintained rush hour in garner. don't waste your time they clearly do not care about your safety here. the response I got after explaining all of this to a staff member was "damn, that sucks. I just got here on this race" I'm all for a good competitive race however the staff needs to be alert. they're too busy on their phones and shooting the s*** with eachother, including the people at the bar. at least I know at garner the customer service will be good and flags will be properly thrown read more
