Family came here for some go-kart fun and we did. RushHour Karting - RTP is one of two facilities owned by the company, but over here which is the newer of the two, they have a go-kart track that spans two levels which was pretty sweet. Although I called and was told that there was plenty of availability without a wait, by the time we got there it was a hour and a half wait time before racing. We decided to stick it out. We registered at the front "iPad" kiosks with our info and then moved to the front desk to pay. We were placed in a "family" race which meant we had someone younger than 15 in our group. The very clean facility had sections for axe throwing, video games, virtual reality, kitchen, and more than plenty of seating in quite comfortable plastic chairs. They also have a seating section to watch the upper track or eat, and party/meeting rooms. Several TVs were around showing track position, racer names and photos, or sports! They have skeeball, one pinball game, foosball, air hockey, several claw machines, basketball shooting game, and others. My friends purchased some food including mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers which were a lot better than he expected with little breading and plump chicken. They also have beer and liquor. If you're driving the go-karts, they mark your band and you cannot go over your limits or else you're not driving. Sodas (Pepsi products, yuck) are free refills (yea!). Before racing, you get the safety lecture explaining the flags and rules, and you put on your neck brace, head sock (you buy this or bring your own helmet), and helmet. Once in the cars, they explain how to reverse if needed and then it's go time! The Karts can hit 45mph but I really didn't see anyone getting that close. Our group fastest was 30.99mph. We had at least one yellow flag which slowed all down. I saw one young racer get escorted out of his car and off the track at an earlier race because he bit his tongue and needed some paper towels. All the young staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The staff running the track were keeping all safe and watching out for those who got their licenses out of a Cracker Jack box. We did see someone get the black flag and then got it again resulting in them being pulled over and a talking to taking away from their eight minutes of racing. Because of the number of people, the process for getting people on and off the course was quite smooth and seemed highly efficient. For my family, we had one who didn't race. So she took a bunch of photos. The three of us who did came to about $90 which included the headsock and one race. If you become a member, then the price per race goes down. I'm sure they also have leagues. This would also be a great date, team building, or family fun night out.

The karts themselves are very good at both locations though, but the track at RTP is also more grippy.

The site itself is quite nice and very large. Apparently renovations were done recently so it has an updated feel to it. When you walk in you sign up to race at the counter area, and you also take your picture and pick a racing name. The majority of our group was guys, with the exception of three ladies. Us ladies didn't race and instead ended up getting drinks from the bar, playing a few of the arcade games, and cheering on our guy friends who raced. The bar area has a pretty good selection of drinks and food, and for it being an "amusement" type center, I'd say the quality was pretty decent! There were a solid amount of things you could do besides the racing. They had axe throwing, a rock climbing wall, arcade games, and an interactive game arena. The racing did look fun and our friends had a good time doing it. Those karts go up to around 40mph so they're no joke. I do feel like they do a good job with their safety measures. They give you solid racing helmets, and if you spin out they'll make sure to help safely get you straightened back out. They'll also enforce some set track rules to make sure you're racing safely. My two friends and I watched our other friends race from a large viewing platform near the top of the track. The only negative thing I'd say about our experience is that it's loud (I'm sensitive to high pitched squealing sounds, so I shoved some bits of napkin in my ears and that helped lol), heavily smells of gas (they do have ventilation in place but it's still very noticeable), and it's also pretty hot in there. The area with the arcade, bar, and other entertainment is separate from the racing track, which is good because you can get some relief in between races in there. Overall, it was a fun experience! We all had a good time and would go back again. This time I'd bring ear plugs lol.

My daughters and I were looking for a rage room to get some anger and aggression out in a safe way…read more We found this location and gave it a shot. The location isn't optimal in that it's a bit tucked away (failed to get photos of the area) and I feel they'd have FAR more customers in a more visible location. That being said, gps helped us and we made it there! We arrived for a 5:00pm appointment on a Friday and we were the only ones there. I'm guessing because everyone was just getting off work. The place is very clean and neat looking. The owner Lisa greeted us and has a very calm and friendly demeanor. We all signed electronic waivers via the QR code at check in and paid up front. They also have a texting system to help make changes to your reservation, cancel appt, reminder of upcoming appointment, etc. They require a deposit of $30 to make the appointment and reserve the room. The other two people in our party paid once we got there. It was $30 for 15 minutes in the rage room. Depending on how much rage you need to work out, you may need to reserve more time! They also have a paint splatter room, ax throwing, pool table and a few other activities there. They provide coveralls, face shield, heavy duty work gloves and shoe covers. They have a speaker in the room that you can connect your music to, so YOU pick the music!! Very cool feature, I thought! Lisa was so very accommodating as she helped us get our fear on, set up a camera inside a jar in the room to record, taking our photo, etc. We really appreciated her patience and help with making it a great experience!!! There were three crates (one for each of us) filled with bottles, plates, cups, etc. for us to throw or smash with the selection of weapons provided. In addition, there was a windshield, a computer tower and a dummy and a tire (although we didn't utilize that) that you could take your aggression onto on. Obviously there are rules for safety that need to be followed but overall you're free to express your anger in ways that are therapeutic. Only adults are allowed. I think it used to be 18 but I believe they had to increase the age minimum due to some customers not following safety protocols. (They care about our safety!) I will absolutely be going back!!! For more time in the rage room, the paint splatter room AND the ax throwing! Go check it out. Then leave them what I'm sire will be a great review!!
