There definitely needs to be better signage for parking and finding the entrance. We got turned around trying to locate the factory parking lot, and then got turned around again inside the building before realizing that iSmash actually has its own entrance. I also paid extra for a congratulatory windshield message, but it was difficult to read and several words were misspelled, which was disappointing. That said, the facility was clean, the staff was pleasant, and the activity itself was a lot of fun. Overall, we had a good time and I still left a positive review, but I think the overall experience could be improved with clearer directions and more attention to the personalized add-ons.

This year things have really changed there for the worse...there are WAY too many kids in the space and almost the entire staff turned over. I've been debating about no longer going there after this summer is over, and this morning was the last straw. I dropped my daughter off and there were 2-3 staff people in the front kitchen and NO ONE acknowledged us or greeted my daughter. This is really sad and insulting. I realize the staff were busy but nothing should stand in the way of greeting a customer and making them feel welcomed if you want them to return. If they don't realize someone is coming in because there is too much chaos, maybe they need to tie bells on the door.

The studio is very colorful with lots of decor and several tables and chairs in the front of the business. Aprons are also provided. I heard about the adult chef series from the owner Debbie at the north hills block party. She was really nice and excited about this event. At the chef series event she told us that they had just started the adult cooking classes about 6 months ago and that they are so much fun. For today's event they had a special food and wine pairing with Total Wine. The Wine Steward, Nathaniel, recommended certain wines that would go well with the items that we prepared this evening. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He also gave us coupons for future purchases at Total Wine. This was my first times at a cooking studio so I thought that each person or group that came together would prepare all of the recipes but each table ended up making one of the 3 recipes. This ended up working out well because the two hours would not have been long enough for everyone to do all of the recipes. Our table ended up making the southern cornbread but since it was a quick recipe we also assisted with the Butternut Squash/Apple & Pear Soup. The last table made the Spicy White Bean Chicken Chili. The food was really good and filling. I thought that the chili was going to be really spicy because it had green chili peppers but it had the perfect amount of heat. I didn't know what to expect from the soup but it had great flavor. The cornbread was not bad but our table thought that it was missing something. The butter that was provided helped. The wine tasting occurred while our food was cooking. It started off well but then when a few of us left to finish the soup we never really got back on track with it. I enjoyed hearing Debbie tell us about the past and future adult chef series classes and the children's classes. We also enjoyed being able to meet and interact with so many cool people at our table. Debbie and her staff were very helpful providing us with utensils, drinks, directions, etc. We had a great time!

Our instructor explained each step clearly, kept everyone engaged, and shared helpful techniques that we can actually use at home. We prepared pan-seared filet with Spanish romesco sauce, roasted broccolini, and creamy garlic-herb mashed potatoes. Everything turned out delicious, and it was especially satisfying knowing we made the entire meal ourselves. This was such a fun and different way to spend the evening. Whether you enjoy cooking already or just want to try something new, I highly recommend taking a class here. We will definitely be back for another one!

While at first the prices may seem high, the items they are selling are high quality and prices are in fact fairly typical for what they have in store. Now one thing that was surprising, typically when stores sell their own branded items, they are cheaper, however here it seemed to be the opposite with many items. The staff were friendly, but not the most knowledgeable. They were definitely trying to help, but at the same time they appeared to be incredibly busy, even though the store was mostly empty, running back and forth from the back grabbing items and helping customers pickup items before being able to help out others.

Kids under a certain age (I think 15) must have an adult next to them at all times. Yes, it is expensive for adults, $58, but worth it. You start with a rather long safety presentation, but it is necessary. You are not closely supervised while on the course, which is awesome but a little scary at first. However, there are workers nearby if you ever needed to yell out a question or something. The course seems to be broken into different parts, all of which begin with a climb up a ladder and end with a zip line. Most of the time, you are walking across different kinds of rope bridges of varying difficulty. There are some areas that were super challenging for me, as someone with practically no upper body strength. But you know you are safe the entire time so it's ok if you mess up. I loved the challenge. Anyone physically healthy will probably be fine, although sore the next day. :) I wish I could do this course as a workout every day!! The course was the perfect length. I was starting to get worn out by the time it ended. Some tips -The back of your shirt and pants will get quite dirty because you'll drag on the ground when you land after the zip line. Stretchy yoga/exercise capris are good choice. Be prepared to be dirty and bring a change of clothes if you need to look presentable afterwards. -You don't wear a helmet, so you could wear a hat if you felt like it. -Definitely wear sneakers or rugged shoes, like hiking shoes. -Don't bring ANYthing on the course you don't need. Leave your phone in the car (unless you want it for taking photos, but have a way to secure it to your body.) -Don't bring water on the course because there are water cups available in a few areas. -You may find some mysterious bruises and scrapes the next day and be sore.
