    Wide range in tasting
    Brad K.

I would not consider to be a destination hang out spot and it has limited seating areas. However, the quality of the white wines make it worth a visit. The tasting was $9 per person but is a good investment to taste the range of wines available..

The owner, Ed is so nice really informative and explains all his wines in detail. This place was great, the amount of wines he produces is amazing and the tastes are delicious. He makes about 20 different varieties, so good. Highly recommended. Definitely stop in if your in the area. We will definitely be back with friends.

Rita greeted us as we drove up to the winery. Very nice and friendly, family run winery. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.

Beyond the normal wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot noir and chardonnay there are a lot of fruit forward wines that are fun to test and take home. My wife and I had a pleasant time on a Saturday afternoon each with a flight of 6 wines for tasting. Were they all winners? no, but I say that because wine and taste are subjective. That's the fun of these things and clearly some were winners as we took home several bottles. I had to try the Elderberry - shades of a certain Halloween movie by frank Capra- and found while it was sweet, it wasn't cloying and the dandelion wine, which had, a buttery pineapple taste was very nice. So in short, if you have an interest in wine, take time for the visit. Experimenting is fun and you may well take home a nice surprise.

There pretty much is something for everybody on the menu. My partner and I tend to have different preferences in wine, but there were so many fun wines we ended up trying that we wouldn't have seen anywhere else. Our favorite overall was the honeysuckle Riesling, but we ended up liking a lot of the dessert wines and some of their more common varieties like the Pinot. Our hostess for the day was the owner of the winery, she was so friendly and knowledgeable to talk to. In addition to the 6-flight tasting, she was so hospitable and passionate about her creations that she graciously offered us a few extra tastings of new options. Sadly, none of them were available for purchase yet, but I think we'll be back for some of the more seasonal options!!

The vineyard is very pretty, the tasting (flight?) room is historic and very nice. The wines are decent, nothing to write home about but if I had a bottle or glass I'd drink it. The experience, sub par. "Tastings" are offered as flights, so not tastings. On top of that, the flights are set, so you can't choose what you drink. It's just dry or sweet. There is no interaction with the staff to learn about the grapes, origin, how it's made etc etc. true wine drinkers love the traditional experience that this winery just misses the mark on. Flights are served in plastic cups on wooden boards, ok but wasteful. Overall, a disappointment, without some changes this will not be a winery we return to

We were there the Saturday the day before Mother's Day - me, my husband, and two kids (6 yo, 18 mo). We sat inside because the weather was gross outside. We went back this past Saturday to take my parents who were in town and love going to wineries. The kids were with us. As we all know, this Memorial Day Weekend had awful weather. It was high 40s and raining sideways. We got there and the person (not sure if server or owner) said we were not allowed to sit inside with the kids. I asked how that could be given our experience to the exact opposite 2 weeks ago? I was informed that it said so on their website. But not to worry! We could sit outside in the frigid, rainy weather with an 18 mo old to eat. There were heaters after all - 8-10 ft above our heads. I checked out the website since apparently it said kids could only sit outside. When you navigate to "visit us" it has a picture of happy kids frolicking in the grapevines. Kids are welcome, enjoy a picnic, etc. etc. Buried within it says that the tasting room and veranda are reserved for adults, and that dogs are not permitted in the tasting room or veranda. So look, I get that some people want to go places and be in a kid-free bubble. I'm a whole adult outside of my kids and will happily go places that are kid-free so long as I have childcare. I'm also a respectful parent and if an establishment prohibits kids, I'm not going to try to take them there. For example, there is a winery near PNC that very explicitly states no children - on their website, on the signs in the parking lot, on signs at the entrance... so we didn't take the kids. But to say families and kids are welcome, to allow us to sit inside without ever mentioning that it was reserved for adults and this was an exception, and then to tell me while the dining room was 75% empty that my 18 mo old had to sit in cold and rainy weather because kids are inconvenient... Not great. Therefore, we didn't stay because I can find somewhere else to have good wine where people can make the empathetic decision to treat my kids like humans.
