Alright this is a really cool General Hardware store, I go mainly for the selection of grills and smoker supplies, they service and sell lawnmowers and power equipment,this is an old country store before the city grew around it. When you walk in it's a little cluttered looking but it gives way to nice selection tools and supplies for gardening, lawn care, cooking out etc.If in the area its worth going in just to check out. read more

I wasn't going to say anything but the more I thought, I felt that maybe I could help someone with this. I was told this place was reputable so I gave it a shot. I took my old riding mower here for repair and was told that it was a waste. I paid $85 and was told the belts couldn't be tighten and the parts aren't available to fix it... I decided to get a second opinion. $50 and 30 minutes after I dropped it off at a guys "house". My mower rides like day one. They guy simple tighten the part that came "loose" over time. If you didn't want to fix it, all of 30 minutes, you could of gave me my $ back... Let this be a cautionary tale! read more

Yes! Hopefully no one else will have to deal with this dishonest store!!! We were shown a lawn mower. Told how much it cost! We paid for the mower. It was loaded, in our truck. Before we could drive away, with the mower, we now owned! They stopped us and said we had the wrong mower. They proceeded to take away our mower and show us a cheaper mower, they said we had purchased. Although they had demonstrated the mower, we thought we were buying,, sold it to us, loaded it into our truck, they wanted our mower back! I cannot believe it did not occur to me until today to pen a review for Foreman's. Foreman's has been my go to store for all things lawn, garden and more since 1978. Every single piece of lawn and garden power equipment I own has come from Foreman's. And I have a bunch. Everyone at Foreman's is welcoming, cordial, and knowledgable. Virtually everything you need for lawn, garden, animals, barbecuing, frisbee golf, etc., etc., etc., can be found here. And you will never have to spend Lord knows how many minutes like in a big box store trying to find someone to advise you, who when you do find them usually don't know any more than you do. Not a problem here at Foreman's. And the repair shop's work is the best there is. It is such a pleasure doing business with a family run, customer oriented business as this. Try it. When you first walk in it's very cluttered and takes you a min to figure out where you need to go, as you walk further in you see a display under the register with funny looking statues only to realize a moment later this are dogs! There will be at least 4-5 dogs snoozing in the glass display case and i find it hysterical. The staff is very helpful and the store offers a wide variety of items. I buy duck feed there, $9 for 50lbs! I buy it for my kids to feed the ducks at the local duck pond, I feel like it is a great deal. read more

Went into Foreman's to refill propane tank. When I went into store the three workers behind the counter did not wear masks. A third of customers in store when I was there also eschewed masks. Foreman's is a true feed store. If you have a horse, dog, rabbit, varmit, it's your store. Except for a dog, I don't have any farm animals. Foreman's continues to earn my business by providing good service. I bought a little snapper riding lawn mower there (think Forrest Gump mowing the football field) and it's been great. When I couldn't get the mulching blade on, they helped. When my other mower broke down (because somehow it ran over a stump) they fixed it *on the spot*...not a 5 week wait...on the spot! Good service, knowledgeable staff...they have dogs and cats running around, cook burgers on the weekend, and even have a good homebrew supply... and little bit of everything in between. They are my go-to place for lawn stuff, grills, and general "what the hell is that?" shopping. read more

Love this place! I shopped here with my family when I was in High School a billion years ago. I moved away and recently moved back and was so happy to see that they are still there and still owned by original owners. I did not catch the check out gall's name but she was super friendly and called in her loose dog when I walked in with my three dogs. They have pretty much everything you could need for your home from those driving type lawnmowers to pet food. They have high quality kibble and a fridge with raw. I left with food for the dogs and two new dog beds that were on sale for 19.99. I also got to reminisce about what the area was like 30 years ago! I stopped in recently to pick up some parts for hubby's chainsaw. He had called one Saturday to see if they had the parts, but they were too busy at that time with in-store customers to help him over the phone so they took his name and number and said they'd call him back. He didn't hear back from them Saturday, so I said I'd stop in the following week and see if they had the parts. One reviewer referred to this place as a hardware store; I didn't see any hardware. It's more of a feedstore/small engine place. While they do have stuff for the home brewers (and vintners and cheesemakers), that side of the shop is heavily stocked with food for all types of animals. There are bird feeders and there is bulk bird seed. There's also a bunch of yard junk. The other side of the shop has yard tools - lawn mowers, edgers, string trimmers, chainsaws, etc. If I were to come to this store, this is what I would come in for. But that's more Hubby's shopping domain, not mine. Outside, it looks like they may soon have plants, patio furniture, grills, and stuff like that when the weather gets to that point. I'll probably stop back in a month or so to see if they carry anything there that interests me. I vacillated between giving this place a '2' and a '3'. It's not bad for what it is, I suppose, but it didn't grab me with any kind of nostalgia or any urge to buy anything - and believe me, I wanted to buy something in addition to the chainsaw parts. I would have given them just a '2' because of the lack of customer service from the previous weekend, however someone did call the following Thursday (4 business days later) to return the call saying the message had been lost/misplaced. I love this place. This is the only place I can get earthborn holistics dog food. Made in the USA. All natural - very healthy for your pet- grain / wheat free. They have a program you buy 10 bags get the 11th free. At 55 bucks a bag- I'll take it. Everything for the pets is a healthy choice - most everything. They have pig bones, cow horns, wheat / grain free biscuits, freeze dried food, raw food, salmon oil.... Everything you need if to keep your pet healthy and looking good. They also have food for cats as well. I recently bought a different flavor for my dogs (bison) and he started itching again... I called up and the lady said to bring the bag in and we'll swap it out with another bag no charge.. The oceans blend flavor my dogs absolutely love and the "gee why is my dog itching for no reason" suddenly stopped. I have a riding mower but no way to transport it here. But it's nice to know I could always rent a home depot truck and get it here if it needed repair. read more

Sorry if you drove over an hour to get to the place only to see that it was closed 15 minutes ago, but to give it 1 star when you didn't even walk in the store doesn't really do anyone any good. And yes, they were about to close in less than an hour and probably should have mentioned when they closed, but I know when I call somewhere that I have to drive more than 15 minutes to get there, I ask two questions, "do you have what I'm looking for?" and "How late are you open?" When I went in a couple weeks ago and asked about the disc golf section, the guy was really helpful, took a trade in from me for a really fair price and helped me to find a good disc for my father in law for father's day when they were out of stock on the original disc I was looking for for him. Because he only had the disc I bought in a dark green color and didn't have the one I originally wanted, he even gave me another dollar off the disc I bought. Even though they didn't have a couple discs I wanted, they still had a pretty good selection, and if you are in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by. Also, the rest of the store is pretty awesome. We were in a bit of a hurry, but it has a ton of useful stuff that I want to check out more next time I'm there. read more

I purchased a Kamado-style grill from Foreman's during one of their cook-off events. The grill suffered an unexpected failure shortly after my purchase. The owner, no questions asked, took care of the replacement immediately. I find they have fairly uncommon grill equipment in stock and certain of their employees are very knowledgeable about BBQ. "Old Fashion[ed] Friendly Service." Well, turns out they close at 6:00. I drove an hour to come check out their disc golf supplies only to arrive 18 minutes after closing time. I called at 5:19pm to ask if they carried disc golf equipment and the guy on the phone said, "Yes." Then he said, "Come check us out!" I'm just a little upset that he didn't also say, "By the way, we close in 41 minutes..." So I got there and saw the closed sign on the door, went up to it to peak inside and saw a couple of the workers in there. I knocked, but they just hung out in the back. I called again and left a message on the answering machine asking if I could look around for 5 minutes if they were gonna be there for a little while, but nada. I get it, people have small businesses and want to get home for dinner just like all of us. But I'm just kinda mad about the phone call. Most places you call within an hour of closing time will tell you they're about to close. Guess I'm just gonna keep going elsewhere for my disc golf needs.not coming back here. read more

We went in here after my mother gushed about the service. Very nice place, and the service was indeed wonderful. They let us look and didn't bug us, but when we were ready to be helped Mr Foreman was very helpful. We were in a bit of a hurry so didn't get to look long, but they have homebrew supplies. My husband likes that. And my favorite part...100% grassfed beef from a local ranch! I know where I'll be stopping to get something for dinner. Picked up our mower and left feeling cheated. We were trying to decide whether or not to dispose of our 2 year old seldom used 2nd mower that had never worked since the 2nd time my wife tried to start it (Consolidated homes and no longer needed a 2nd mower). Took it in and paid for an estimate to repair. Right on the schedule they told us they would be able to get to it and let us know what was wrong (approximately 2 business weeks) they call; say it was is, we owed ~$190. We said we did not want to pay that (approximately half the cost of the new mower), we wanted to know what was wrong with the mower and how much to repair it; they said it was repaired according to their work order and we could pick it up. So we go to pick it up; along with many, many other things, they had put a new blade on it because the "old blade was worn out". The "old" blade had been used approximately 2-4 times! We ask for the old blade back; they said no problem it will be with the mower and all the other replaced parts. Not so! Our blade was missing. We now feel they keep our almost new blade and replaced it with a new blade we did not need! We feel very cheated by Foreman's and were it not for the inconvenience; we would go back and complain. Certainly, we will not use them again; we do not believe them to be trustworthy and cannot recommend them. read more
