I forgot to post this a few weeks ago! We LOVED our experience with Pride and Groom. Chrissy, the owner, has an obvious love of fur babies, and is professional and super nice. Everyone in the shop is so kind, and genuinely love what they do. We have a Scottish Terrier and a Maltipoo--Sherlock and Bailey. Our Maltipoo was a rescue, she still has issues with strangers. But she was so calm, her groomer said Bailey was so sweet and easy for her groom! So, basically, we have found a groomer we will stick with!! We had hopped around to follow our former favorite groomer, but he has now moved on to working in tech and the previous place sold to new management. We had to seek a new place. After combing through reviews of all places near our home (76244) I settled on Pride and Groom 100% because of good reviews. I am so glad I did! My dogs were nothing but adorable and happy after the groom. I am so grateful for Pride and Groom!!! read more

We were not going to leave this review however after the response we received we believe others should be aware. Note this review is mostly in regards to our second and last service with this salon, the first service was good. On our second service with Pride and Groom (I wish we knew the groomer name, it was a different one then our first visit) our dog was cut. She came home itching her one ear more than normal. When it didn't stop after 2 days we looked at her ear and found a big cut in the shape of a razor/auto trimmer. When we notified the salon of the injury we received a text back basically saying they are completely not responsible for the injury. No apology or anything. They went as far as to say it could be a hotspot or caused by the nail trim (which they acknowledge to not buffering and leaving the edges sharp). As someone who works with a rescue and sees cuts and hotspots on a daily basis I can assure you this is not the case. In addition to the fact that the shape of the cut matches perfectly to a trimmer. Due to the negligence of owning this injury/mistake we feel anyone who thinks of contacting this salon should be aware. Note: we were not asking the salon for any sort of refund and do acknowledge they are working on live animals so there is a chance for sudden movement to cause such an injury. We were simply notifying them and asking for ownership of the issue. read more

I am really starting to like the level of care the staff is providing not only my dog but also to his owners. My dog is easily excitable, yet the staff at Pride-N-Groom have acclimated him to the point that he behaves himself with each visit. Very reasonable prices ($50 for a haircut, $5 to brush his teeth), the staff keeps the information given from my dog's last grooming appointment along with the groomer. I always request the same groomer, and she has produced really good results with each visit. It is very convenient to set an appointment with the staff, and even better to travel to this location now that this particular section of North Beach Street is open. read more

I have been using Pride-N-Groom for my shin ztu for a couple of years. The staff is friendly and groomers do a great job. I get a reminder call the day before our appointment and they go over their instructions for my pup to make sure I do t need to change something. They are efficient and call when my pup is done normally within a couple of hours. I find their pricing very competitive in this market. Thanks for taking care of my Xena. read more

My yorkie has been going here for almost two years now and we couldn't be any happier! My yorkie absolutely hates groomers but whenever I come to pick her up she seems calm and content! My most recent trip, they shaved my dog, in winter. I had told them I wanted a regular westie cut, short poop patch, regular skirt. I specifically said, " Don't do what we did last summer, that was a one time thing since we were going to be camping for the summer." I left my phone number in case they had any questions, and when they brought her out shaved the receptionist argued that they had used a slightly longer guard. Ok so her fur is 5/8ths of an inch instead of a half inch, the extra eighth inch is not 'leaving her skirt long.' I had been willing to drive further to their new location even though it is 15 minutes out of the way, but now I've decided to try a new place. read more

Very good groomers however they lost our business due to the front desk attendent. I dropped off my baby at noon, knowing they close at 3:00 and would make it in time to pick up my kids from school. When I arrived, she was very rude and stated that I was pushing it on pick up time and if I had a time constraint I would need to drop off my dog by 10:00 next time. Closing at 3:00 and picking up at 3:00 wasn't a time constraint, but she said that they sometimes stay later. As a consumer I have no way to know that. It was a very unpleasant encounter and I will be recommending my fellow doggie friends NOT to go there :( read more

Pride & Groom was recommended to us by a family friend. I took the dog in and described how we wanted her clipped. The person I spoke with made suggestions which I again told her how we liked the dog groomed. 1. She asked if we just wanted the fuzzy unruly hair cut I said that we wanted her shaved pretty close all over including her bushy tail. When I picked up the dog, the lady went back to get the dog and brought her out and just handed her to me with out the leash I had to wait for them to get the leash once I got the dog leashed up in the tiny reception area with other customers/dogs adding to the chaos I really didn't take the time examine the quality of work. I guess I should have. I don't mind paying a little extra as long as I get the service to match. Not sure wether we'll return. read more

I've been using them for a couple of years and have never been disappointed. I bring in a dirty mop dog and I get a Champion show dog back every time. One of my favorite places is Pride N Groom. The ladies here are so great with my dogs. I took my puppy for his first bath and then back for his first hair cut and surprisingly he was good. I hear so many horror stories about the chain grooming places so I try to support the smaller local Keller businesses. They are usually booked on Saturdays so call in advance. Weekdays are less crowded if you have a young dog new to grooming. I, Colby am one of 4 in our family and we all go to this salon! Price is approx $50 per dog. They take cash or cards. The Groomer at Pride-N-Groom was amazing. Very sweet to my dogs, reassuring to me, sounded like she knew exactly what she was talking about and knew the best way to groom their breed. However, when the girl at the front desk took them to the back, she literally DRAGGED them back there. No reassuring them, no trying to coax them; just pulled them. The Groomer saw that I was upset and concerned, and she reassured me that they would be fine. My girls looked great, but after the dragging, and the girl at the front desk hardly saying a word to me when I checked out, I haven't been back since. My instincts for my pets' safety outweigh the amazing groomer, unfortunately. :/ read more

I will never go back! I took my dog to this place right before she gave birth to get a trim and ready for puppies. I bring her home and a day later she is super itchy and biting at herself. She started to pull her hair out so I took her to the vet. Turns out she got SCABIES!! Aka mange! The puppies ended up getting it as well. I called this place to let them know what happened and they did not care. No one called me back. I know for a fact she contracted the scabies from there because she did not live my house except to go get groomed. Be careful where you take your dogs a grooming can easily turn into a $600 vet bill. read more

This place was awesome! Everyone there was so nice and the dogs all looked happy to be with their groomers I felt extremely confident dropping my Pomeranian off. They even let me speak to my groomer about exactly what I wanted. There was a little mix up in creative differences when I picked him up, but after expressing my concerns they immediately fixed all of my concerns at no extra charge and handled the matter extremely professionally! This broke my heart. I question a place that wants the owner to overlook their family and take perfect care of their dogs! 10 Stars! 5 isn't enough. First of all, I messed up on the date of my scheduled appt. I was a day late. They fit my Shitzu & Brussels Griffon right in. They listened to what I wanted as it isn't the typical cut. The details and CARE they gave my dogs were like their own. The staff have their dogs there as well. The place was very clean. Prices are too low for the amount of service they provide. I made up for it in the tip. Their prices are comparable to Petsmart. I will never go back Petsmart for grooming.
