Cute little spot for brunch! We both really enjoyed our meals and I was very appreciative that they were able to do mine dairy free for my allergy. The mix and match plate on the menu was a great idea! They had a couple brunch cocktails but we opted for tea and coffee respectively. The server was very sweet and attentive and careful with my allergy. The only downside was that the longer we sat, the more we realized that the ventilation in the place isn't great - it seemed like maybe the cooking hood wasn't pulling the smoke out all the way and it got a little hazy. My eyes were burning a bit by the time we left. But the food and service were all great!

This bar is nothing spectacular--just a pretty basic vibe. It's a little small inside, but it's clean. However, there's nothing that really sets it apart from any other spot. Personally it was way too dim for my preference. I was literally sitting in the dark with a little natural light coming in from the windows and the ceiling lights didn't help. My Lucille ball (gin, grapefruit, st Germaine, campari, cucumber) was okay, heavily leaning on the grapefruit. If you're looking for something unique, you might want to keep exploring

This is the kind of place where one could easily become a regular. I've only been here 2 or 3 times but when I walk in I half expect the entire bar to shout "Norm!" like in the t.v show Cheers. ...which would be weird because my name's not Norm... ...but what I'm saying is that Russell's has all the friendliness of a dive bar-- people at the bar chatting it up with strangers, a few tv's to watch "the game", and genuine waitstaff that really seem to like where they work. (Which is why I'm so confused by all the negative reviews about service? Every time I've been here it's been nothing but smiles and 10/10 service.) ...except, it's not a dive. It's kind of trendy. There were fresh flowers tucked into old mezcal bottles, and at around 5pm on a Sunday our server went around putting tea lights on all the tables. The strength & weakness of this place is its size. It's small, or in realtor-speak "cozy". There's only a 2 booths, a small narrow 4 top table, and the rest is bar seating or counter seating. This is why all the dive bar friendliness comes into play naturally, but this isn't the place for a large group. And sometimes I've been here and have taken the last available seat. MENU-- Just enough options to cover all the bases. Gold stars & bonus points for all the house made items! They have small bites (nuts, olives, pickled things), medium bites (hummus, charcuterie, soft pretzel), and large bites (sandwich of the week, meatballs, sliders)...so, all the bites. & A few salads. Not a great place if you're gluten free, or vegan though. HAPPY HOUR-- But I don't come here for dinner. I come because they are in my neighborhood, AND their happy hour is damn good. $6 Old Fashioneds?! $5 wells?! ...IN SEATTLE?! What the what! They also knock a few dollars off draft beers and wine pours too. And for HH food--they have a select number of food items from their menu which are about $1-$2 off of the reg. food prices. Two of us came here during HH and each ordered 2 drinks, and shared the meatballs (which come with 2 hunks of bread, so yeah...in other words, make yourself a lil' meatball sub) and our bill was about $30 +tip. They have about 3 beers on draft, 6 wine options, and about 11 house cocktails. So they have something for everyone but their cocktail/sprits game is strong. I mean, they celebrate "Whiskey Wednesdays" and "Mezcal Mondays" each week, with correlating drink specials. I'm not a succinct writer. But if I were I could've just said "Russell's is a watering hole jackpot. I love this place."

If you like nice bars but don't like bars that are pretentious then Russels fits the bill. Nice wine, nice cheese board, friendly staff, decent prices. I came here on a Monday and arrived at about 5:15 but if it had been any later I probably would have struggled to find a seat. Our waitress was really nice and the drinks came out so quick I thought she'd pulled them out of a hat as we turned our backs. All in all, I had a smashing time at Russell's.

There's a reason this place is always packed. Great happy hour snacks and attentive service despite usually being super busy.

Gave it a 2nd chance again, but it failed. Ordered a couple of meals to go about 4 months ago and I had to throw mine out. My husband ate part of his and threw the rest out. Last night we gave it one more go. Ordered 2 burgers to go. Asked for no onions or sauce. Got home and found they had onions and sauce on them of course. Took a few bites and threw both burgers out. And it cost us $77. $10 was a tip. We do try to support, but we just can't support them anymore. Sorry.

There's also a pleasant patio that will see use in the summer but not on this chilly February night. The bar offered a collection of micro pub brews with the classics such as Pliny the Elder IPA and local finds. (See pic attached) The menu is elevated pub grub and pizzas while staying away from the more pretentious "gastropub" offerings. We split a Green Goddess salad and a burger with a side of delicious fries. I had the Stoup Cerevezita while my partner ordered a Margarita. Service was friendly and so were the other patrons. We chose to hang around to watch Olympic Curling after finishing our meaI while enjoying the neighborhood vibe. Every neighborhood should have a joint like this though not all are so lucky.

All the drinks were ordered were quick and tasty. For those that cannot drink beer, they do have Twisted Tea on tap which is somewhat carbonated which is fun, unique and refreshing. Went on a weeknight, and saw that they had Blanton's. May be the cheapest price for a pour of it in town. Since it was only a few bucks more than a standard bourbon and coke, asked for a Blanton's and coke, which got some laughter, good played heckling and jokes from the bartenders. (obviously I corrected myself and did not get it with coke). Pool tables look nice and in good condition. Lines for a table were pretty long, but there was a group for a birthday party there squatting on one of the tables all night. The cook in the back seemed a bit gruff and muttered something at my wife when he was trying to book it back to the kitchen in a crowded bar. Seemed unnecessary, but still, overall the staff was great. Would go back!

It just needs a jukebox and for smoking to be allowed. Beers are cheap, especially the large bierstein drafts you can get for like 8 bucks, where as a pint anywhere else would cost you the Same. Food is also pretty inexpensive. Even in my last visit they lump my tab with my friend but a pint, ginger ale (my friend skipped beer this visit) and an order of chicken tenders was like $17, I was surprised. The outdoor patio is nice and there is a fair amount of seating inside. Some of the downsides are the staff can be hit and miss and there is only one register so lines for drinks can get long, fast. If you see the line short, jump then if you can. Besides that Lenys is like my favorite dive bar - cheap drinks and food, sports and good atmosphere.

Took almost an hour to get seated, but we were able to grab some drinks from the coffee shop on the first floor of the hotel, which was a nice option. Once we got upstairs it was gorgeous! Lots of great seating options both inside and out. The views of downtown Seattle and Bellevue were EPIC. The staff were very friendly as well! I have to say, for the price the food and drinks weren't at the level I expected. We ordered nachos, crab Rangoon dip, and pretzel bites. The nachos were probably our favorite, but they weren't anything special for $22. The Rangoon dip was mostly cream cheese and barely had any flavor. I think they were depending on the nori chips to bridge the gap, but those didn't taste the greatest. Finally the pretzel bites were okay, but nothing I couldn't get at another gastropub for a much lower price. The drinks were fine, but not that strong. I ordered the Glacier Peak which was beautiful and refreshing. We'll be back for the views and maybe a couple of cocktails, but I'd say if you're bar hopping, spend money on food somewhere else in the area.
