They gave me an estimate to have the fender worked, painted, and blended into the door to minimize any obvious appearance of color difference...typical paint strategy for those who are familiar. Finally got my car back from another…read moreAuto Body shop that my insurance sent me to... and I did ask that shop if they would install a Cat-Shield after they installed the new Catalytic converter, but they don't do that service. So, I bought a Cat-Shield on-line and, I Googled and called a bunch of mechanics around the east bay to install it. And, majority of mechanics, either don't do Cat-Shield installation or they charge way too much for labor. I heard that Castle Auto Body did Cat-Shield installation for a fair price on a Facebook forum.. When I called Castle Auto Body, I got their voice-mail a few times. But, an hour later I got a call back and I made an appointment. Went in the next morning and they installed my Cat-Shield for less that $80... they said they do the service, because they don't like thieves and they want to help people prevent their catalytic converters from getting stolen. And they did a great job too!!! Definitely recommend this place!!!

Practically unheard of for an autobody shop! California Collision is one of those unicorns. My only regret is not hearing of them sooner. Reflecting back on my involuntary experience of being the receiving end of a rear-end collision on the freeway, California Collision was the clear stand out. Not only did they get my BMW back on the road like it never happened, they handled it like a concierge would. Take that from a regular business traveler that works in the private equity world. George and Team handled everything in my best interests. They are an honest to goodness family business; the real deal- they all share the same last name. The first thing George did during the drop-off process was insist on giving me a walk-thru tour of the *entire* shop and work area. Other shops hesitate and deflect with these requests but George volunteers it first thing without even being asked. After using the restroom on the way out, there was not a corner I didn't see. Communication and customer service is first class- my calls, messages, and emails were always returned in a timely manner. They dealt with insurance and the car rental. I didn't have to do anything besides provide approvals. The job was done exactly how I wanted and even exceeded expectations. My BMW is older now and I expected aftermarket parts but I ended up coming out with all OEM parts at 0 expense to me. Even my optional factory/ OEM+ M-division performance parts were handled. Color match and fit were factory perfect. George is a perfectionist and personally inspects your vehicle after work is done and only releases back to you after it passes his high expectations.
