Waitress came by shortly after and we ordered (2) glasses of wine, truffle popcorn and flat arugula & prosciutto flat bread to share while we waited. Service was pretty fast. Took a while for flat bread to come out though. The wine was fine, no complaints. I wouldn't recommend the food and more for the drinks. The truffle popcorn, we saw that it came from a bag (skinny pop), they added truffle seasoning and shaved Parmesan on top. The flatbread came out burnt and was extra toasty. read more

My wife went with 3 other ladies this afternoon, and I'm writing this review on her behalf: It was her first time, and it definitely won't be her last! She was absolutely blown away with her server (Melissa) as she was super- attentive, helped with the happy hour menu and food/wine selections, and, split the appetizers and bill without being asked. The inside was cozy and comfortable. Food ordered amongst the four: caprese salad, bread and oil, bruschetta, and a flatbread - ALL were equally great! Perfect for that late afternoon get together. And Melissa even brought my wife and others a small taste glass of a wine to make sure they all liked it - - who does THAT anymore? Walked in on a Tuesday after work and the place was pretty easy to find seating. There is plenty of parking there too. Berry Basil Sangria and berry sangria were pretty good and decently priced. These were seasonal drink specials and not on the happy hour. Truffle mushroom flatbread was our favorite from the menu. We love anything truffle. After my 2-star review 3.5 years ago, we decided to try it again. Still disappointing and still 2 stars. This time there were 3 meats and 3 cheeses, and the charcuterie board was overall more complete and visually appealing. However, they're still going with sub-par meats and cheeses. The salami was one of the worst we've had, and same for the pepperoni. Pepperoni just isn't great with wine, and the salami was low-quality and didn't pair well with the wine at all (it kind of tasted like summer deli sausage). There was brie which was good, but the blue cheese was very meh, and the cheddar tasted like a very every-day retail cheddar. Definitely not aged. Only the brie paired well with wine. I think if someone has never had charcuterie before and didn't know better, and wasn't having it with wine, they might find the selection okay. However, the point to this whole exercise is to offer things that pair well with wine, and very little did. It feels like whoever decides on what to put on these is like "these meats and cheeses seem nice", but makes no effort to consider whether they're good with wine (any wine). I would've rated 1 star based on this most recent experience, but the wine was very good (if very expensive), so there's that. So we finally got back here for another try, and have decided not to return. The charcuterie experience almost anywhere else is better. read more

I am excited Rustic Cork is in Mill Creek and I'd like to support them as a small business, but I have to admit I've been underwhelmed the last two times I've been there. I do enjoy the events, especially trivia, but as another person mentioned, it's very expensive to eat here. Happy Hour has a few meager choices - truffled popcorn, bread and oil, and Caprese salad, even less options than they had before. When I think of Happy Hour, I'm certainly not going to be lured in by popcorn or bread & oil. I want to see some nice dips, wings, smaller portions of entrees, sliders, etc. I want to get several small plates so I can try a bunch of things and make it a meal. I really didn't find anything that stood out to me on the menu. Flatbreads, "wraps" that weren't really wraps (they were pitas), a few salads, and a couple paninis (that come with potato chips) so I picked the hummus appetizer. It came with 8-10 small pita triangles and a large scoop of very wet hummus with a scattering of tomato, feta, cucumber, olives, roasted red pepper, arugula and paprika over the middle of it. It tasted fine and it was fresh, but it wasn't anything I couldn't make at home, and the soupiness of it made it really hard to eat. It ended up being really messy and I stopped trying halfway through. I ordered a Diet Coke and it came in a can. Service was great. She was attentive and patient and I have no complaints there at all. Dishes were removed in a timely manner. Waters were full. What really got me, though, was that when I paid, my tipping options were 20%, 25%, and 32%. Yikes! 25% was automatically selected and the server hovers over you as you complete the transaction. I'm ALWAYS a very generous tipper - even when I get poor service - but I absolutely hate it when restaurants do this. It's high pressure, it's uncomfortable, and 25% is not what should be the default amount. 20% is still considered standard, and while I almost always tip more than that voluntarily, paying more than that should not be the expectation. And 32%? No. As such, my APPETIZER and a can of Diet Coke, plus tip cost me almost $28. There is also an added credit card fee of 2.5%. I get it. Times are tough and things are expensive, but nickel and diming people is the nail in the coffin for just about any business. I hope Rustic Cork will revamp their menu, add more Happy Hour food options, and reconsider their tipping structure. I would definitely be more inclined to return at that time. read more

We have been to Rustic Cork a couple of times not and really enjoyed it both times. There is seating both inside and outside. Both times, initial service was poor, but once they came we received our food and drinks quickly. On the second visit they had live music with a guy playing Eagles and Country music who was really good. They have a featured wine tasting of five wines we had both times. The first was bubbly and the second had two red, two white, and a bubbly. The have about 1.5-2 ounce pours and the presentation is very nice. The only ones we were not crazy about were the two whites, but otherwise the choices were really good. All the food has been great. The charcuterie board is excellent and such a good fit with the wine. We particularly liked the cheeses, but every part of it was delicious and we finished it all. On another trip, we had the burrata board that was also really nice also, particularly the crostini. I loved the prosciutto pairing there also. On another trip, I had a triple cheese panini (which is kind of a grilled cheese sandwich), but super tasty, the grilled bread was perfection. My friend also really enjoyed her Mediterranean wrap. In addition to live music, they also have other events like Sip and Paint along with trivia nights we look forward to trying out. It is definitely worth a visit. read more

Good first experience, great flight of Washington wines, and classic seat-yourself bistro vibes. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable but very busy and appeared to be the only server there at the moment (Friday late afternoon for happy hour). We ordered the spinach dip from the special menu and it was delicious even if a bit smaller portion than expected (the ramekin was adorable though), and it was pretty neat having towers of wine samples :) There was a larger party there and it started to fill in a bit which made the noise quite noticeable, and they charge an automatic 20% gratuity on parties of six or more. We're looking forward to going back to try more of the menu and a full glass of wine (or two)! read more

Literally made an account to write this review the "server" Melisa is the most unapproachable person. I have been here very few times and I think only once I didn't see her but the times that I did she is not engaging at all I feel like I'm a burden and don't feel welcome at all. My wife went in the other day which made me finally write this after talking about it today. She had two other workers do her cleaning while she stood behind the bar doing nothing. If she's a manager they need to replace her before she brings this nice establishment down. My wife and her friends are thinking about just going to tapped or rare society to feel welcomed. I love this place. I forgot to take pictures of the food because I was on a date but the service was amazing and we had a great surprise, it was music night. I love that we have a new venue in the mill creek area. The only downside was that there was construction going on in the next building and the sounds were a bit annoying. It's always nice when a new Bar opens locally. This was our first visit to Rustic Wine Bar. A really nice place with a great atmosphere. We didn't eat food this time but every dish that came out looked mighty tempting. Surroundings are convivial and conversation easy. A perfect place to chill out enjoy a nice glass of wine and chat. SO excited this wine bar opened in our neighborhood. We mostly have strip malls and big box stores around us - so to find this cozy, fun wine bar that only serves Washington wines within a couple miles of our house? HUGE win!!! The servers are all fantastic (I've been there 3 times now), the wine is wonderful - and the food is the extra bit of perfection that makes this place stand out. The atmosphere is just what I hoped. There is a bar, many (5?) high top tables that seat 4, a couple of regular tables, two lounging areas (that I keep trying to get but they are always full) and a long bench. Okay the events are awesome. Trivia night is a blast and just did a sip and paint and that was a great girls night. My only thing is it's expensive to eat and drink. $30 for a salad is a lot!! My friends had already ordered (plates to share). Servers don't even greet me, or offer to take an order from me. I had to raise my hand to ask to order food. Took their bartender a cool 20 minutes to circle back to me to ask me if I wanted anything to drink. My food was forgotten (never even ordered), so that was disappointing. Portions were small. If I'm drinking, I want to eat. My friend asked for napkins and silverwares, and we didn't even get that. I love this place! Locally owned in a nice plaza with plenty of parking. The amount of love that is poured into this place is noticed with the intimate, cozy, and friendly setting; as well as the service. The waitress who was helping my friend and I was kind and genuine; her welcoming smile brought comfort as she attended to not only us, but other tables with great promptness. You can tell the owners, hand select every employee with caution. The wine tasting was great, it transitioned beautifully into each category. I'm a big hummus fan, so I loved how creamy it was, and how the pairings went well. I was a little disappointed they didn't offer carrot sticks, but the cucumbers filled the crunchy portion. Bruschetta was refreshing, and I loved how the crostini wasn't rough, but sturdy enough to not break apart or get soggy. The flat bread was so flavorful!
