The place was pretty quiet for 6PM on a Saturday night. Met some friends here for a quick bite before an event at Edmonds CC. Our server was over to see us quickly, and very personable. We had our food orders taken quickly, as we stated that we'd need to be in and out fast. She accommodated us and told us that there was only the one cook. She got our bills prepared for a quick exit and all were processed for us before the end of our meal. This was greatly appreciated. The food was average bar food. I had a fish and chips special, which was a great value at $12.99, but was pretty greasy. The others had burgers and pizza, which they said was just ok. In short Looks like a dive from outside, but inside it's a friendly, welcoming sports bar / dad bar. Maybe gets a little crazier later in the evening, too? Kitchen is serving great pub grub. In long This one hovered in my mind between 4 and 5 stars for a while. It's not quite a basic place, but they maybe could live with being called that. Bottom line, even if it's not for absolutely everyone, the people who come in and enjoy it won't feel like anything's missing at all, so it's five stars. You pull up to kind of a crummy parking lot in front of kind of a crummy-looking strip mall, and you walk through a heavy security door. Nothing looks or feels fancy from outside. Inside, though, everything's clean and well lit. All the furniture is well made; there are lots of custom booths and the light fixtures all match. You don't feel a sense of luxury, but they built this place from the ground up, they built it right, and it's a nice antidote to the exterior vibe. There are at least a dozen huge flatscreens up around the room, at least downstairs. Evidently there's a whole upstairs that we didn't even check out. There aren't a ton of sports decorations, they keep it tidy--but the TVs are showing sports news or the game. This place must get thumping for big games. I can't even imagine trying to park those days. You get a warm greeting right away, with menus on your table in seconds. The menu is a lot of dependable old pub-grub favorites. Pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, chips, rings, fries, and so on. Thing is, they put a lot of thought and effort into each one, kinda going for bragging rights for the best in town on lots of simple dishes. They make the onion rings in house, I'd bet. You can add garlic and parmesan to your chips. The sandwiches are built right with plenty of filling. Prices are competitive, and you will definitely get full. Some people who love to eat love pub grub, and some of those people built the menu and designed the recipes here. We had a couple rounds of cocktails, and all of them did the trick. Made well, served right, good balance of sweetness, good flavors. If this place were a little closer we'd be here a lot. read more

WORST SERVICE...(BUT IS IT REALLY 'SERVICE' IF YOU DONT EVEN GET SERVED)...?! I would rate this establishment less than 1 star if I could. My girlfriend and I waited at the bar for over 30 minutes to get one drink. Not because they were busy but because the female bartender refused to do her job. After 30 minutes we were finally able to give our order...but that wasn't before she served 5+ other people (who asked for 2nd drinks wayyy after us). The best part is...we left to a new bar & another couple in there recognized us and had just left for the SAME reasons - so we knowwww it wasn't just us!!! My wife and I stopped into Bulldog for dinner and brews. Free parking (very limited) can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Seating can be found downstairs or upstairs, both areas have their own bars. There are several TVs mounted throughout the entire place. One can play pull tabs if desired. Happy Hour is offered Monday-Saturday from 2pm-7pm and all day on Sunday. Bulldog offers a generous craft beer selection. There were also a couple cider's on draft. During our visit, we sat downstairs. The bartender was busy this evening so I place my beer and food orders at the bar. My wife had a couple Manny's for $4.50 (hh) each and I had a couple Tropic Haze IPA's for $6 (hh) each. Both beers were served ice-cold and were quite refreshing. My wife ordered the Cheeseburger & Fries for $10 (hh): 1/3 pound patty served with all the standard burger toppings. The fries were crinkle style, hot, salty and delish. The cost for a side of ranch was $0.25. I ordered a Veggie Pizza for $11 (hh): crispy thin crust, onions, black olives, mushrooms, tomato, pepperoncini, artichoke, orange bell pepper and yellow bell pepper. My pizza was visually stimulating as well as tasty. Service was friendly although our server was swamped. Overall, my wife and I were both pleased with the food, prices and service. The only downfall is the extremely limited parking. We look forward to returning in the future. read more

Came for the cheesy cheesy burger. I was great. Huge and enough food for two people. The service however does suck. Don't expect a refill on anything. Never offered water, never returned for pop or beer refills. Just came back and dropped check after a bit. Been here many times and yes the service is horrible. But the beer selection is great. I've been driving by this location since it opened, but have only recently made it in. I've been intrigued by the sign out front claiming to have many beers on tap, but the parking lot looked small and the building was in a strange location. I finally made it in and was pleasantly surprised to find the place was huge. It's nice to have a good option for a variety of beer in the area. There was a whole upstairs area I never even expected, complete with pool and everything, including an outdoor area. The downstairs seems to be where they keep the good beer, but they do offer a few upstairs as well. The person behind the bar is knowledgeable about what's on tap. On my last visit I was alerted that I could definitely order beer downstairs and then take it upstairs to drink it. Pool tabs and tvs are available, as well as a full food menu. read more

Seahawks game central! How have I not noticed this Sports Bar before? I am always pleased by what pops up in my Yelp searches - I wouldn't have otherwise found this place! The parking lot is small and you are probably thinking with a name like Bulldog Saloon that they aren't your cup of tea. But you'd be so wrong!! They are a super classy little establishment in an odd little corner with an auto shop directly adjacent (not in the new shopping center with the clean stucco walls!) My friend and I met here for a Sunday game and were thrilled with the food and drink options. We were even more impressed at how many large TVs they had in every direction. I literally had to choose between three big screens all within 10-15 feet of me and my friend sitting next to me had three other screens to choose from! Our food and drink were very good and the server did a good job attending to the large crowd. She probably could have used an additional person helping her out but it wouldn't stop me from returning for another game day! The website says they open at a certain time but if you call ahead of time and ask about opening time on a game day they will usually let you know they are opening early for a Hawks game. Call to be sure! My only complaint about the place was that it was quite cold inside. They could use a storm door or curtain to keep out the cold. Otherwise bring your Hawks gear and wear your jacket for the game! read more

I came here again after a few months away and must say I was quite disappointed this trip. I usually have nothing but the best experience but not this time. It started off fine, ordered a maitai which was great. Also ordered some onion rings off the happy hour. They were rock hard. Way overcooked to the point where it cut my mouth and no onion was visible. ( I have had the zucchini medallions in the past which were amazing so didn't think I would have had this problem). Went here for the first time yesterday, it looks very small and divey from the outside but this place was a an awesome surprise! From the Amazing bartender Allie, to all the rotating beers on tap, to the yummy food and sports on, it's a hidden gem. They had some unique items and great happy hour so we will definitely be back. Sadly the last 4x we've been there the food quality has gone down hill. The salads used to be great sliced tomatoes onions olive cucumbers pepers and more. Now its small diced tomatoes its more like a fast food salad. Onion rings have changed. It seems to be all pre-made from a store. I was hesitant to come here due to the reviews but I'm so glad I did. My husband and I have had dinner here on four different occasions and every time the food and service was great. Unlike how it looks from the outside it's actually roomy yet cozy inside. There are booths, high top tables and a bar to choose from. Our server, Alex, has always been friendly and quick. The food is good with large portions (we've had the hamburger with sweet potato fries, garden burger with salad, hummus platter, and Dirty Harry Dip Sandwich). I've been coming here for many years. The bartenders are the best. Unfortunately, when it gets busy they have no support working alone, servicing the entire bar causing delays and not happy customers who will not return. The food used to be pretty good, but the quality and selection has gone downhill. The menu options remain stagnant and prices are inconsistent between items. Maybe the owners will see this and take action to support their staff and keep customers coming back, as it's a great local place and vibe.
