I always have so much fun coming here and it's definitely a hidden gem! The outdoor space is beautiful and it's perfect to come grab drinks and dinner during the summer months. They have both indoor and outdoor seating where you can order from inside or at the grill food truck that serves burgers. I loved how they had a black bean patty to substitute with on the menu, and since I'm vegan they luckily told me the fries are cooked in beef tallow before I ordered them! They were so nice and let me check ingredients on one of the sauces and gave me chips instead since I couldn't eat the fries. I also love trying their wine slushy since it's usually a new flavor each year I believe. I got the Hawaiian flavor that was a beautiful blue color with some coconut and Hawaiian Punch flavoring. Plenty of free parking as well, we'll definitely be back!

Rustic roots was absolutely gorgeous!!! The drive was scenic and less than an hour from the twin cities. When you arrive, there is ample parking up the winding road, and the slight elevation provides a great vantage to look out at the surrounding hills. There are several spots to sip wine, both inside and outside. There is capacity for large events with many-sectioned outdoor bar and an entire tent in the back. MN wine is no my favorite in general, but I really enjoyed the wine slushies on a hot day. Worth visiting to drink and eat and enjoy the scenery!! PS. I also witnessed a guest have a medical episode, and the staff were extremely attentive and caring in making sure the individual was recovering.

Fun winery! We came in on a Wednesday evening, before their cribbage event (which was super popular, but we didn't partake). It was snowing and cold out, and they had a fire going along with a very inviting environment. We tried several wines, and got some food as well. The wines were ok, some of the reds were a bit sweet, but good variety and selection. The cold sandwiches were good, really big portions for the full sandwiches. Seemed very family friendly, we were there with our baby and felt welcome. They have what appears to be a really pretty, large outdoor space, which we'll be back to check out in the summer. Overall, great vibes and great service winery!

Rustic Roots was one of the stops during my friend's bachelorette party. It's a gorgeous winery with tasty wine. The food truck has so many great food options. Large outdoor area, easy to bring a group. Highly recommend!

Absolutely enjoyed this winery! It was beautiful. From the entrance alone, it was quite exquisite. I had a wine flight and it was awesome for the price! Also tried the flat breads (margarita, fig and prosciutto and the carnivore) all three were delicious (just a little smaller than expected! There was live music when we were there so it was so peaceful and relaxing! Pretty amazing service, lots of space to explore and it didn't feel crowded. Overall 10/10 experience :) sangria slushie was a favorite as well! Will definitely be back. View made me feel like I wasn't in Minnesota!

A wonderful place to enjoy a seasonal salad and lovely wine. This time I tried the sparkling wine, it went well with this salad. Great service, amazing view and great wine!

Scenic vineyards on the hill, nice wines and brews, lots of outdoor seating, a hiking path nearby, a rustic bistro for a bite during the weekday. During the weekday there isn't much for crowds, so relax and enjoy the atmosphere!

I recently visited Rust Roots Winery and it was a lovely experience! The bar area is cozy and inviting. My husband and I had flatbread pizza, he ordered beer and I tried a few different wines and even brought some home. The bartenders where extremely knowledgeable about the wines and helped match my preferences perfectly! When I'm in the area again I'll definitely go back, have some food, and buy more wine!

Just go! Gorgeous views, friendly staff, delicious wine and food...you can't go wrong. Mango slushy, triple root red, Grenache, and prosciutto fig pizza were all home runs.

This place was very fun; kind of spread out between the indoor bar, outdoor areas to order food, tables, and areas to play lawn games. Definitely a nice spot to hang out and enjoy a beautiful MN summer day. The wine slushy was amazing and the food was good too. It did close fairly early which was surprising and we were kindly asked along with everyone else still there to leave. That was somewhat off putting. They had board games available near the entry way so they definitely supported hanging out; just not after close.

Such a gorgeous winery! Every where you turn there's a building or a structure of some kind, a bar serving drinks outdoors, outdoor patio dining. There are food trucks and a restaurant to choose from with delicious burgers might I add, I had the Cajun burger and fries - it was awesome. Thank goodness I chowed down on that delicious burger seeing I consumed so much wine while I was there. I loved their wine - most Minnesota wines are very sweet and I felt these were the perfect balance. We had a great time there. I was celebrating my birthday and just brought a cake which didn't seem to be an issue at all which was great!

What a beautiful space, just north of Stillwater. The outdoor seating is expansive and you can wander the grounds (and vines) with a beautiful view of the river valley. Inside, you can grab a glass of your favorite wine or a tasting flight to try 5 of your own selections. If you've got a hunger bug, they have some small plates and flatbreads to satisfy that need. They also have wine slashes for the hot months. Grab a drink and a friend and enjoy a beautiful day at the vineyard.

Awesome music! Requested a little Jimmy Buffet and got MARGARITAVILLE!

They had a food truck on site - the line was pretty long so I actually never seen what truck it was or what kind of food they had.

We were greeted by Katey who sat us up for the tastings and explained the process. At that point, Amelia stepped in to run us through the variety of wines. We took our table number then found a great spot on the patio with views of the beautiful vineyard. We were brought our first tasing which we chose all reds. Are they Napa or French quality wines? Absolutely not. However, they are good for WI wines and we have been to a variety of wineries in WI. We also ordered a pizza which was very tasty. Served on a thin crust. Perfect for an afternoon lunch and tasting. Amelia tended to our table and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect wine tasting experience on the patio. We then ordered a tasting of their fruity wines which included a light rhubarb wine. These were light and refreshing so we purchased a couple of bottles to enjoy in a beautiful summer day. We also ordered a chocolate desert wine and purchased that as well. I would recommend stopping in on a beautiful day so you can enjoy the patio and walk through the vineyard. Beautiful spot for pictures as well.

We tried a few different flights of wine and flat breads and enjoyed the beautiful view of the vineyard. The place is truly breathtaking, and at the time, they had live music playing outside. Jenna made some very good recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. ::Caution:: I still gave this place 5 stars because this has nothing to do with the service or the quality of the food or location, but we were picturing a nice, calm brunch, sipping on wine, not a Chuck E Cheese experience. Apparently, we were upgraded to the deluxe Chuck E Cheese package and were seated around lots of parents who decided to bring their young kids to a vineyard. The kids were running wild around tables and crying and screaming. Not one parent corrected their kids' behavior and just let them run around like free-range chickens. There were also people complaining that there were no non alcoholic drinks that they wanted at a vineyard. When I went inside there seemed to be no kids indoors. While another group could not control their kids and kept knocking things off the table, including glasses of wine. No one seemed to mind outdoors because most of the people had young kids, so be warned that this may be a possibility, so research your days before you go. Overall, if you remove the kids running wild and crying, the service was fantastic, the wine was good, lots of parking, the ambiance was incredible, and the food was good.

When we arrived the signs were a bit confusing as to where to go, we ended up pulling up to the house at the top of a hill but were given instructions to drive around the building past the bathrooms. When we got there there were carts to help us load and tote our stuff up to the camp site. There were multiple paths up to our site which was nice. The first night we decided to eat at the winery. We ordered a pizza, got a bottle of the sweet red wine and they had board games we could play as we waited for the pizza to cook. They wood fire Heggies pizza. We got a chicken Alfredo one which was really good, we ended up getting a second one. They had $10 wine slushies. Cath the bartender put us on to mixing the flavors. Both were really good and began our fav/go to drink for the weekend. Also Cath had great customer service and was there all weekend which was nice! She was great. We stayed at site 3 and it was a decent size, had a smaller 2 person bench/table, fire pit and was very well shaded. When it rained we didn't get too flooded out which was nice. The rest of the experience was mostly on us to make, during the day we took a walk and explored the vineyard. They had a few grapes growing, they also have yurts you can rent which is nice if you want to go full glamp. They were spacious and kind of had their own areas which in the vineyard. I will say there was a larger staying down by the yurts and we could hear them most of the night up in the woods where we were. Also live music at the tasting room/courtyard on Saturdays. They started around 12:30pm and went late into the evening. We could hear the music from our campsite which was nice. It rained that night so it started outside then they moved the music inside. Something to do though. They do have a coffee room that is open 24hrs which is nice. They sell snacks and stuff in there as well. Generally it was a good first experience/intro to camping despite it being a cold, rainy, summer weekend but I'd do it again.

I believe he said the wine tasting menu is split between wine with grapes they purchased to make wine, wine from other wineries and wine they make from their own grapes. We thought we should try the wines from their property because what is the point of trying wine from someone else. They also have a frozen wine we saw a few people stop in to purchase and people appeared to love it. We should have tried it! The wine flight was served in a little box with small plastic cups and a small souvenir wine glass. I feel terrible saying this but the wine was just terrible. We could barely finish the thimble size tasting of each wine. Perhaps we should have tried the wines they brought in or the frozen wine. They said the winery is up for sale. I hope it is purchased by someone who is passionate about winemaking and can make some delicious wine with the grapes from the property.
