    Feeding turtles

What a great place! We tried it for the first time yesterday evening. I have really nothing negative to say about this place. We sat outside on their balcony/porch area. Great views! The service was excellent, our server Lee was very personable and attentive to details. The food was great! My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. The portions were a little too big for us. The bathrooms were very clean and neat. It's a great place for a romantic evening out or dinner with the kids - which was our case. Our kids enjoyed the open grass area by the water as well as feeding the turtles leftover French fries. We'll definitely come back!

Ordered pimento cheese with house soft chips appetizer..big portion and filling. Ordered frozen mango margarita...slightly above average yet presentation looked pleasing to the eye. Also ordered flounder sandwich with fries. Fries were a bit oily and mushy ..i liked the fries i put malt vinegar on the flounder. But it is also decent without malt vinegar. Tartar sauce was average. Horseradish bit my sinuses but i ate it straight. Good horseradish sauce. Decent service

This a great environment! Love the atmosphere and the service was great. The food is not bad. Got the shrimp wrap, the sauce gives it a nice kick but it's just the sauce, shredded lettuce and fried shrimp but still ok. The fries were soggy for my liking but they were ok as well. You just can't beat good service and atmosphere anymore! We will definitely be back.

Good choices of food on the menu. If you would like less bar noise, request an outdoor seat. The waitress was very attentive.

We started off with some fried green tomatoes.  Everyone does their little twist on them and this place did the same.  Personally, I am good with them as is and maybe some remoulade for dipping.  Here they had a pepper sauce that came with them and cheese melted atop the FGTs.  Not bad and nothing killed or overpowered the flavor from the FGTs.  However, I did wish that the pepper sauce had a bit more kick.  I cannot remember the name but the drink of the much was a peach based drink.  It was good and it was not just some peach flavored alcohol but it was made with peach puree.  They had me at peach when she ran through the specials.    For the main entrée it was the ribeye at a medium rare with fries and asparagus.   You get a choice of a bordelaise or garlic aioli to accompany your steak or whatever you want to dip in it.  Steak was cooked to the medium rare as I requested and that is a good start because we know there those places that consider what you ask for as just a suggestion.  Good flavor from the steak with no need for the sauce as I found out and I just enjoy asparagus.    Good experience.  Despite this being my first time here this place gave the vibe as a solid choice.  One of those places where when you are unsure of what you want but don't want to risk something new because you are hungry or with someone who cannot come to terms with their food desires.  This is a that old, trusted place you can rely on when you are hungry and good service.  A first experience that went very well.

Ofc I scroll through Yelp (as one does - literally hi friend!) and one of the top rated is The Bistro. I whip on over there and, albeit confused with the parking sitch (you can park in the back and go in through the side where the restrooms are, or you can go in through the front? Yo no sé.) I was greeted by this gorgeous host who promptly sat me and a drooooopp deeeeaaaddd waitress Annie T, don't get it twisted, came with the suggestions and shoutouts I couldn't be more excited to get. I decided on The Bistro Bee Sting (yall, I mean come on.. look at that photo. DELISH!) and a turkey melt with some cheese grits as a side. So friggin good. A bit expensive but honestly 10/10 will be back. And GET THE BEE STING! I'm still drooling. 8.4/10 only because of price, but service, ambiance, and flavor were all 10's.

Everyone love CAtfish Johnnys. The staff seemed afraid to be too nice and the manager literally told someone near me he cancelled all bands or did not book any rock bands or have any bands on Fridays because it brought in 'that crowd'. He wants to focus on Families and cut down on alcohol and certain appetizers that attract them. . There is that. Sooooo... Oh service was slow, we ordered three or 4 of the same exact item and all three came completely different. Shrimp was fried on one, Shrimp was cooked another way on the 2nd and Anyway the plates looked like completely different orders. The drinks were made the same- all different even when ordering the same drink. We did not complain as it clearly was not the servers fault. We will remember the manager pretty much insulted all previous patrons which includes a lot of people with boats and money and laughs. Although he wanted to focus on Families, I saw no more or any security or extra security around the water so do not expect extra safety for your children and there may have been but I didn't notice an expanded children's menu. I think the prices may have been higher too. Enjoy the new Knotted Marina and bring your own music you may not see any of your favorite oldskool bands. I normally get a Togo meal to bring home. I did not this trip. The manager may not have known he was talking to one of the bands that previously played there. I really used to love this place. We shall see

This was my first time experiencing this venue, and I honestly was pleasantly surprised. From being greeted at the door and shown to our table, ordering our food to even having our waitresses snap a few photo's to document our visit, I was very impressed with the staff's attentiveness and willing to offer suggestions, and see our food was prepared promptly, and to our tastes. We chose to visit during lunch, so I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich which came with fries, and it was very tasty. My friend ordered the fish & chips, which he said was also very delicious, his wife ordered shrimp with hushpuppy's, and I tried one, that cinnamon butter sauce pairs very with with the hush puppy's. The atmosphere for a lunch crowd was very chill, some soft music playing in the background, but not overpowering to limit conversation, the staff was friendly, and the food was tasty, with decent portions, and more importantly - Reasonably Priced. I can't wait to return again soon, and bring some friends along to share a new spot to enjoy some terrific food at Liberty On The Lake.

It felt like a great place for a celebration without being overly formal. We started with a few appetizers that were great for sharing. The hushpuppies came out hot and crispy and paired really well with the dipping sauces. The coconut shrimp was another highlight -- perfectly fried with a nice crunchy coating and a sweet dipping sauce that added a lot of flavor. For the main meal, the fish and fries were classic comfort food done well. The fish was golden and flaky with a light batter that wasn't too heavy, and the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. Everything came out fresh and hot, which made the meal even better. The coleslaw on the side was creamy and balanced the fried seafood nicely. Drinks were also a fun part of the celebration. The cocktail was refreshing and light, perfect for sipping while enjoying the lake view. Sitting by the water with a drink in hand really added to the birthday vibe and made the whole experience feel a little more special. Overall, Liberty on the Lake was a great choice for a birthday outing. Good food, generous portions, beautiful lake views, and a relaxed environment that made it easy to celebrate and enjoy time together. Definitely a nice spot for a casual celebration or a meal with family by the water.
