Great Place to eat in Albuquerque! My wife and I really enjoyed this place and thought the tacos were great. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! We took our family to try this re and were met with hostile employees charging exorbitant amounts for tacos! The employees lied and told the owner we had a large party. We were a party of eight that is it was me my husband and 3 kids. The cashier was rude to start would not look at us. We went to sit and the only large table available had 1 person sitting at it so I moved a 5th chair over to the table we found. One of the male employees came over and told us to split our party and yelled at us that we could not sit together. Before I could ask him if we could ask the gentleman to move he said it was due to covid. I understand Covid as I am a nurse and was not looking to make a problem for the restaurant. My husband walked over the counter and asked for a refund. The cashier called over the woman in charge to help her do the refund again they talked low to each other and would not make eye contact with us. In fact they made a large sigh at the counter when giving the refund. No questions why or what the problem was. I would leave a zero rating if I could. First I was greeted well, put my order in and the girl was very professional. Then I went into the restroom to wash my hands and right when I started to walk in the restroom my feet started sticking to the floor as if I was walking on fly paper but it was just dirty cement. and then I noticed fleas or small flying bugs . the paper towel dispenser was broken and dirty roll of paper towels. so I used my brute strength to open the door and get out. then I waited for a minute and asked a guy working there to wipe my table and he just swiped the table a couple times and walked away. the manager threw my tray up and called my name I said thank You and he didn't acknowledge me and then I said it again and he said yea and walked away . I was using the green salsa bottle and top fell off . whatever that stuff happens . But my food was so bad and at the last brisket taco I got a huge piece of fat and I had to spit it out. My tacos were cold and I just got them. the tortillas were hard like I was eating card board not like toasty corn tortillas should taste. I was treated rudely by the manager and so I just left instead of complaining . If I were to talk to the manager it would be like talking to a wall or just an ignorant idiot. the girl said have a good night as I left and I was so upset I was treated bad and my food was horrible and I just wasted 15 bucks . I will never go back there ever again. If you go in and eat I hope you get a better experience than I had. enjoy the great customer service . but customer service all over is gone. The manager looked like he needed a shower also , man I tell you what, he looked dirty . Pretty good taco place. Ingredients taste good/fresh and the service is quick even when they're busy. My favorite is probably the carne asada taco. My only real complaint is they could use more creativity with the taco ingredient combinations. Many of the taco options could be improved with a sauce or an extra ingredient or two to jazz them up a little bit. the tacos, although good, are a little boring. My husband and I decided to try something different . We heard Rusty Taco on the Westside was pretty good, so we went there. The place was clean patio area very nice. I ordered a margarita with sugar on the rim, when they brought it' was salt. People that came after us had received there food eaten and left. After 30 minutes the waitress came and apologized for the wait and offered us chips. She never brought the chips. The food came 45 minutes later and the watress didnt know one from another one. They asked my husband if he wanted another drink he said yes and they made him pay for it. Wow not cool. The food was good but not worth the wait. read more

Ok we finally broke down and Gave this place a try. The tacos were DELICIOUS!!! The three of us each ordered a variety of tacos, including a breakfast taco, and everything was consumed happily. We ordered online and the process was easy and allowed for substitutions and removal of toppings, which is great if you hate cilantro as much as I do. We also ordered the chips and Queso and we all agree the chips were crisp and fresh and the queso was unique and delicious! The only thing we ordered but would avoid in the future was the bbq brisket nachos. Although the brisket was delicious, the nachos overall were dry and had very little bbq flavor. Aside from that, our visit was awesome and we will definitely be back again! read more

We were actually on our way to Jimmy Johns when we saw Rusty Taco today and decided to try it out. It looked so inviting with the garage door open! We are so glad we stopped in, this place was a hit! Not only are the tacos a good size AND price, they were incredibly quick.. perfect for our lunch break. Everything was delicious - between the 2 of us we tried the Picadillo Taco, definitely a little spice to this taco but so tasty. We also tried a couple of the fried chicken tacos and the fried fish taco. All were excellent! Restaurant was super clean and the staff was so nice. Someone came around twice during our visit to ask if we needed anything or if they could clear trash. Will definitely be visiting again soon. read more

I really wanted to like this place but there was too much confusion. I ordered black bean, cheese, and egg breakfast tacos but received the regular black bean tacos. I brought them back in to get the breakfast tacos. I read that the handmade tacos came on corn tortillas but flour upon request. Didn't realize that it said the breakfast tacos came on flour but corn on request. I wanted the corn tortillas. Last but not least, I'm allergic to tomatoes and there was no mention of tomatoes on the breakfast tacos on the menu but there's tomatoes on them. I asked for a refund because I'm not going to have them remade a third time. So, I'm not thrilled. read more

They have a solid menu of all types of tacos like brisket, shrimp, carne asada, and even a vegan black bean option, all which are great, but my favorite have to be their breakfast tacos!! We waited for the gal that finally came over to help the other people. She asked what we needed. I said online order pickup. She came back and said she didnt have an order with my name, would it be under anything else. Went back over and found it but the nachos weren't ready. The order consisted of ground beef nachos, 2 texas style tacos and the trio dip and chips. So we waited even longer. Asked for some sour cream. They were out of. Sour. Cream. Get down the road, check the order. We were missing the queso. Also no napkins or utensils. Turn around and go back in. Get what we were missing. No apologies. Someone put in 2 free side cards in the back but....food was meg. Tacos looked just like taco bell and the nachos were dry until I put all of the trio dips on top. I've been eyeing this place for a while but I will say that this was the first and last time I eat here. We ordered the ten taco family pack, beef nachos and sopapillas, all via DoorDash. We were missing a taco from the pack so we only received 9 out of 10. All the tacos were mislabeled, so every time we opened one thinking it was the taco that the label said it was actually something else so it was a real guessing game. We ultimately figured out that we were missing the brisket taco. The flavor of all the tacos were very very blah. The pork tasted like fake smoke and the refrigerator it was stored in, the fish was tough to chew, and they all just kind of tasted the same? I don't know how else to describe it. There just wasn't any unique flavor profiles to each taco. The family pack also states that it comes with chips, queso and salsa and we never received any of these. The "nachos" were a handful of stall tortilla chips that had gone limp and soggy with a small spoonful of ground beef and tomato/onion mix on top and came with the queso on the side, which was very small, to the point that it would not have been enough to put on top; overall disappointing for nachos. And I wish I could tell you how the sopapillas were but we never received them. I'm really disappointed because I wanted to like this place but for $67 delivered it was not worth it and it will never be. The ONLY thing we liked was the queso. I'd rather just go to Taco Bell and that's saying something. read more

After finally trying them, I came to the conclusion that they're just gentrified street tacos.‍ Very tasteless, all smoke, no flavor street tacos. I wouldn't even be mad at the toppings & such, (I'm a very open minded person) if the tacos were good. The "brisket" was dry & tasted so much like smoke. The tortillas were ice cold along with the fillings. I haven't even gotten started on the service!! Let's just say if you want to wait over an hour for your food with an EMPTY restaurant & get side eyed. Go there!! All the other reviews about their lack of efficiency & employee's bad attitudes is true! I can say though that the queso was amazing! & there is a lot of room for improvement ! The service was fast, and understandably so as my food arrived cold and looked nothing like their advertised foto. My taco looked like a fishstick only smaller with scant cabbage and a splash of what appeared to be 1000 Island. On top of that, the chips could have been out of a bag. This is by far one of the best tacos I've had. The flavors from the fish taco that I ate were delicious. It was the perfect amount of spice with a whole lot of crunch! My husband had The shrimp taco which was delectable. He also had the green chile chicken taco which would please any New Mexican with perfectly cooked tender chicken. The chips and salsa were excellent as well. The salsa is jam packed with amazing flavors. The customer service was great. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place. in a crunch for dinner one night, i was pleasantly surprised to find that this little coronado mall taco spot has decadent tacos. we tried a round of taco tuesday takeout here, and we'll definitely visit again soon. these are traditional mexican street style tacos, meaning they're pretty small if you're used to tex-mex style. they're perfect for sampling a variety. we ordered corn tortillas to cradle each of the following: adasas (limited time only), roasted pork, brisket, and fish (fried). the asadas were impressive for a chain restaurant.. well seasoned, but not overdone. the roasted pork & brisket were juicy and tender, and the tasty fried fish held up well during transit. all came individually wrapped in foil (yay for enviro-conscious packaging!) with a little lime wedge tucked in. counter service wasn't the greatest with communication, but it was a far cry from the worst. all of the salsas were fresh and yummy, though tbh not totally necessary. aaand for my chile heads, yes, there's a fiery salsa too. this place is perfect if you are hungry and also tasked with shopping or erranding near coronado, and it sure beats the hell out of mall courtyard food. i'd say rusty taco is overall quick and tasty.. and totally passable on the uptown area taco scene. read more
