Came out to this Rusty Taco location for lunch today and had a great experience as with other locations. It was packed for lunch but I still received my food pretty quick. I ordered the Baja shrimp and fajita steak taco combo with chips and a drink all under $15. It's a great deal for the amount of food. The Baja taco is one of my favorites and this one was fresh and flavorful. The Baja sauce is delicious with a little heat. The steak taco was cooked to perfection as well. A little too many onions for my fajita veggie preference but that's ok. The chips and queso/salsa is always a great side. Definitely an up and coming location in southwest omaha/sarpy county. Rusty Taco is the perfect spot for a quick and delicious lunch! I ordered a bean taco, cilantro rice, and guacamole with chips. All were approved!! The taco was delicious and filled to the brim with the fillings of beans, cheese, pico, and cilantro. The rice was buttery and super flavorful. And of course, the guacamole was great!! As for service, I was impressed. Not only was it quick, our cashier was friendly and had knowledge about allergies. My sister, who has celiac, ordered a taco on a corn shell, telling him she had a gluten allergy. He was quick to ask if it was celiac, and assured they would take the extra precautions not to get her sick. He also told us it would take a hair longer than usual to get the food out because of the allergy. However, even with the set-back, they still managed to deliver our food in no more than five minutes. Finally, the restaurant itself was nice. It was clean and well kept. There was a lot of festive art on the walls, and even a mariachi skeleton! They totally embodied the vibes of a Mexican restaurant!! All in all, I enjoyed my experience here and would definitely be back when I am visiting Omaha again! I would recommend if you are wanting something delicious and quick, even if you have an allergy. Yesterday was National Margarita Day and R Taco was already busy at 5pm. We sat at the bar and we're taking care of by the phenomenal bartender. As mentioned it was crazy busy, and he did not miss a beat. He was very attentive, and even made our chips and dip trio in the kitchen instead of just putting the order in while being the only bartender on national margarita day. Now R Taco's food most of the time is usually just OK, but I would come back for good service any day! I know we don't have a Fuzzy's in Nebraska anymore, but to me, Fuzzy's is elite. We ordered breakfast tacos for work from R Taco. The menu clearly said sausage, egg, and cheese, but they arrived with jalapeño sausage instead. I called the store to explain that the website didn't mention jalapeño sausage and asked if we could get replacements. The person I spoke with was not friendly or helpful. They told me new tacos would be ready in 10 minutes -- but an hour later, still nothing. When I called back, they said they wouldn't deliver them and that they "use a second party" for orders, even though we placed our order directly through their website, which even mentions catering. Very disappointing customer service and lack of accountability. read more

I've been to other Rusty Taco locations and never been compelled to write a review. I went to this location on Tuesday night on a warm sunny evening and enjoyed it enough that all three in my party agreed a review was due. The service was terrific. The cashier took our orders, made our drinks and brought them over to us. We had six different tacos and all of them were delicious. The set-up of this location also has a bar with indoor and outdoor seating and a good sized outdoor patio with tables for dining .The atmosphere was more engaging and enjoyable than some of the other locations. Felt like you may have stepped into a Texas or southern California eatery. We will be back. read more

Rusty Taco is my go to taco place. I was excited to see they were opening a new location closer to where I live. This location has a bit of a different vibe to it than the others I've been to with a separate bar area. I've been to this location a couple times now and can say that they did not disappoint. Lots of gourmet taco options on the menu. To me the best one on the menu is the Dynamite Shrimp Taco which is part of their specialty menu and my other favorite is the Acapulco Fish (Crispy) taco. It is definitely not a fancy sit down place and when they are busy it's loud and a bit hectic in there so not a great place to have a "relaxing" dinner if that's what you are looking for go elsewhere. If you want great Tacos quickly, and maybe a margarita or Cerveza to go with it, this place is the ticket! read more

I absolutely love the location and really hope it succeeds, but they have several things to work on. They have a very nice bar, but both times I visited, the bartender seemed like she didn't want to be there - or she wasn't familiar with what bartending entails. The second time I was there, she literally left and never came back - even though I had an open tab. (Apparently her shift ended.) Had I been told, I would've closed out. There was no bartender that came in after her and we ended up having to flag someone down to take the next order. The food was awesome. My friend got the beef nachos -They looked plentiful and delicious. I got the Tex-mex and brisket tacos, along with the guacamole. It was awesome!!! The GM came out to help us get more drinks but was already pulling triple duty - cooking, bartending and helping the gal at the register. Also, the women's restroom was out of order. Yikes. After waiting for twenty minutes, our food finally came out. All of our food was cold to the touch. We had eaten at Rusty's three years ago and were super disappointed as we love a good taco shop. After seeing a rusty taco in TX we thought that surely they had improved their recipes. But unfortunately, we were still disappointed! Dried out and cold chicken, super drippy pork, and a completely cold kids meal! Don't go there if you're hungry or on a budget. Spent $23 on six small tacos no bigger than your fist for a family of three. They were okay, but for that price they needed to be amazingly good, which they weren't. Terrible value for the price.
