If I could give a negative rating I would. I purchased a used 2018 Toyota Rav 4.. paid a full premium price for it. Well fast forward six months later.. l decided I wanted something smaller. I went to trade it in only to be told the RAV4 had previously been in a wreck. This was not disclosed to me, I was Lied to by salesman. I asked about the history before purchasing. I went in very interested in buying a new car, they were going to take my car & my loan with a few extra hundred dollars to spare however, they were adding WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO PAY FOR MY CAR on top of the price of the new car, brining the total to $50,000. I thought this has to be a mistake, I call several people I know, even a few who are in the car sales business and everyone told me that's not right. I called down there twice and spoke to Rodney both time and he is very rude and made snide comments to me on the phone when I asked how could they possibly charge me for my car and a new car, Rodney's reply "That's how the world works". Not that this will get printed, but my experience with Rusty Wallace Toyota of Morristown was almost all bad. Drove over 1 1/2 hrs only to find out the car I was to test drive was 'sold'. I was told about this after my communicating 3 times with people (including a sales manager) at the dealership, that I would be arriving around 1:30 p.m., the following day. I received both an e-mail at 9 a.m., as well as two additional phone communications within 40 minutes of my arrival at the dealership, letting me know that the car would be ready for me to test drive. Less than 5 miles away, I receive still another phone call telling me there had been a 'miscommunication' and that the car had been sold. Of course, I was invited to just 'come on by' anyhow, and look around! Unless you were born at night (as in, last night), my advice would be not to rely on anything you're told by this dealership. The employees at Rusty Wallace Toyota are very kind, personable and I believe trying to do a good job. However I needed my radio unit (and GPS screen) replaced. It took me three trips (2 1/2 hour round trip each time) to get this done. They never had what they needed in stock. When my warranty is up, will definitely find a closer repair place. read more

First, the salesman sold me a highlander that he swore was a v6, lied 3 times, next they low balled my trade which was a insult considering I wholesales it the next day and got 2500 more, third salesman didn't know nothing about the highlander features, a top of the line platinum, get my tag info in mail had the DMV scratching their head wrong tag number wrong dates and it cost me more money to get it straighten out and of course I had paid the dealer to handle this. Manager called me and his best answer was we have employee training issues, so greg (owner) maybe u need to spend more time training than making stupid commercials. I would tell everyone that u should make the drive to fox Toyota they were within a few dollar cut and dry and didn't bull around. Greg leadership starts at the top so if ur people are doing such a bad job at doing a simple job is it u or ur manager. I was given bad information or NO information about the accessories in the vehicle. I was also not told about the service plan for the vehicle. When I spoke to the general manager about my complaint all I got was a sorry and thanks for your feedback. I hope you don't buy an extended warranty and sell your vehicle and need a refund. It's not happening. We sold our 2017 Toyota Takoma because it leaked in the back window and even after they attempted to clean the seats and carpet, it still smelled of mold and mildew. I personally don't think they did a very good job with the cleanup and had the truck for over a month! It's now been almost 3 months and we can't get a refund on the extended warranty we purchased. We've been told a different story by at least 5 different people "it's in the mail" and then you call a few weeks later "it's being processed". I will never deal with these people again and I'll tell everyone I know to avoid this place! read more

I have not purchased a vehicle from Rusty Wallace, but I have had three different vehicles serviced here. I was mostly (I did end up with only three lug nuts on a wheel one time) satisfied. I even recommended them to other people. The last two trips for oil change on an older Highlander didn't go so well. First I was told that it needed ball joints. On the next oil change (it took almost four hours) I was told it needed 2 cv axle boots. I got home and had oil leaking from the front of the engine. At this time I thought I would just check the torque on the wheel lugs. Three were loose enough that they could be turned by hand and the rest were so tight I had to use a long breaker bar to loosen them and retorque to the proper spec. I took the car back and asked them to show me what was leaking and the bad ball joints and cv boots. When they brought me out to the service bay I asked them first to show me the bad ball joints. I was told that the ball joints were not bad. When I asked why I was told they needed to be replaced, the answer was (you guessed it) "I don't know". I was then ready to see the two leaking cv boots. We were looking at the front boots and couldn't find a leak when someone said that it was the passenger side rear. We look at that and, guess what. No leak. We then looked at the oil leak on the front of the engine. I was told, and I could see, the oil was coming from above the filter ( where I thought it might be coming from). I was told it was the valve cover gasket. That would certainly not be surprising given that it is an older car. It was strange, though, that it hadn't leaked before the oil change. I took the car home and took the plastic piece off of the top of the engine and could see that the oil dripping down was running from the oil fill. I am guessing that the oil was spilled when it was being refilled. It happens. But shouldn't they have cleaned it up and accepted responsibility? After discovering this I placed a call to the service manager. He was not available and I am still waiting on a return call. It's been a couple of days, so I'm thinking the call is not coming. When I told the story to my wife (it is her car) she said " What did they do, offer you a discount oil change coupon to make you feel better?". They didn't even do that. Maybe they knew they had been "caught" and that I would never be back. I wonder why car dealerships have a reputation for being dishonest? I would suggest, if you have your vehicle serviced at Rusty Wallace Toyota, I would want to see for myself if they tell you you need repairs. read more
