I stopped by STK for lunch with my best friend who was visiting from New York. We originally planned on doing brunch, but we found out they only offer brunch on Sundays, so we decided to try their $45 prix fixe lunch instead. We both started with the Baby Gem Caesar salad, followed by the steak frites, and both courses were really good. The steak was cooked well, the fries were crispy, and the portions were satisfying for the price. For drinks, I had the Perfect Margarita while my friend enjoyed a martini--both cocktails were well made. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the prix fixe menu was supposed to include a sweet dessert, but ours never came, and no one mentioned it. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was disappointing since it was part of the meal we ordered. On Tuesday night, I visited this place for happy hour. We opted for the outdoor seating, but our waiter took a while to arrive. There were a few other people seated outside, and the lady next to me was already complaining about her food taking so long. She had been waiting for 30 minutes. Despite the slow service, our waiter was a bit peculiar, but it all worked out in the end. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded, but the waiter seemed quite stressed. The food did take a while to arrive, but it was worth it because everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the tuna tacos and the wagyu tacos. What can I say about STK besides one thing: why haven't you been here yet? I've visited twice--once for dinner and again for happy hour--and both experiences were fantastic. During my dinner visit, the restaurant appeared to be a little short-staffed, but it never affected the service or the quality of the food. Our server (whose name I unfortunately can't remember) did an excellent job taking care of our table, offering recommendations, and making sure we had a great experience. Everything was so good that I knew I had to come back. On my second visit for happy hour, Stacy, Nelson, and Vlad were behind the bar, and they were amazing. They had great chemistry with each other, created a fun atmosphere, and were genuinely friendly and attentive to guests. We came in on a Friday afternoon for the happy hour special. One thing I noticed right away was at the restaurant was extremely dirty and the booths were filthy, something about the restaurant was as if it was trying to give luxury and high-end, but something is just missing. The foods we were served were at different temperatures and everything was just OK and some stuff was pretty bland. I have no desire to go back. this was my second time at the restaurant and the first time was for dinner. We absolutely loved the dessert we got which I don't remember what it was, but the actual food itself was fine like again nothing really stood out to me the first time either. Shout out to Michael. I made a reservation with Resy, but when I got to the host, she couldn't find it. Said that happens with Resy and best to use OpenTable instead, but she was still able to accommodate us. It's very spacious with seating inside and out, and the music selection wasn't great for a Friday night compared to other STKs I've been to. But the service was great, and we enjoyed every bite. We got a seat a little to the back by the window, which was nice. Everything was delicious, but that corn pudding was so good. It's a must, and the donut to finish our meal was just right. The girls and I were looking for a nice happy hour after seeing Devil wears Prada and decided to try an old faithful. Although I've never been to this location, I've loved STK in other states for years! We ran in just in time to catch happy hour at literally the very last minute. We arrived a little late, but fortunately since it was the day after Valentine's Day, it was not overly packed. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful inside and had a very classy vibe. There weren't a lot of guest because I'm assuming everyone were planning to eat out on Mother's Day. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and quite calm. Deviled eggs are deviled eggs, so there's weren't any fireworks going on eating them but they were good. For my entrée, I chose the steak and fries, and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the lobster macaroni, which I was not a fan of. It had a tomato base flavor and the cheese tasted a little powdery. My steak was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and served fresh and hot. The portion size was very satisfying. The fries were crispy with a light seasoning, which paired perfectly with the steak. I also ordered the chimichurri butter on top, and it added a rich, savory flavor that elevated the dish even more. My Caesar salad was excellent and honestly, I could've licked the plate. The lettuce was super crisp, generously coated with dressing and cheese, and the croutons had the perfect crunch. Every bite was consistent and flavorful. The dessert, however, was where things fell short. The included dessert was one average size cookie, which I didn't care for. It was a bit crumbly and had a noticeable peanut butter flavor, which I wish I had been told beforehand since I'm not a fan of peanut butter cookies. Customer service was just okay. I felt rushed by both the server and the busser, as they repeatedly tried to clear our plates while we were still eating and chatting. We were even presented with the check before receiving dessert. We had already gotten up to leave when I realized dessert was never offered. When I asked about it, the server responded, "It's just a cookie, do you want it?" which I found a bit rude. If I'm paying for a three-course meal, I expect to receive everything that's included without feeling like I'm asking for a favor. On a positive note, the decor was chic, the restaurant was clean, and it wasn't overly crowded. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but manageable. I've been to STK before and I'll definitely return because the food is consistently good. That said, the service could use improvement especially patience and attentiveness. My friend decided she wanted to celebrate her 33rd birthday somewhere nice and fun. I have seen the advertisement for the STK Tuesdays and suggested it since the price seems reasonable and this was a new restaurant for most of the group. The three-course stake special truly didn't disappoint. Each of us tried a different appetizer and main, but shared the desert. For a group of 5 we had a time! STK is always my go to local happy hour location. I do enjoy this spot a lot more than the one in Miami Beach because of how open, wide & bright it is inside the restaurant. They have a nice private downstairs area for parties. Food portions are always decent for sharing & made fresh upon ordering. Their HH menu consists of their classical cocktails for $9 & some beer & wine pairings between $6 - $9. The bites are much more than shareable portions! Go with the burger if you want a full size experience! Service isn't too shabby either! Every time we've gone the waiters and hostesses have been attentive & accommodating! First and last time. We went for dinner, had a 9pm reservation. We were seated right away and our waitress came over, we ordered drinks and appetizers. Our drinks came pretty quick, a margarita (really juice) and a club soda, however it took over 30 minutes for our appetizers. When they finally came out, I was shocked by the calamari portion size for the $30 price point. I didn't even taste it, I sent it back. My friend had oysters and that was ok I guess, I'm not a fan so didn't try. Once I advised the waitress that I didn't want the calamari, she never came back to the table. We had to ask another server to cancel our dinner order because we no longer wanted it. It had been over an hour at this point. We paid our ridiculous bill for one alcoholic beverage, a club soda and 6 oysters and went to eat at another restaurant. OK, I'm gonna start off with the positive, our waiter. Jason was amazing. He was attentive to our needs. He explained the menus in great detail and was just an overall kind human being. Him being funny was also the icing on the cake when it came to service. When we got to the restaurant, it was pretty much empty. We had a reservation and arrived on time when I checked in with the gentleman (Thomas or Timothy)standing at the hostess podium he made me aware that he would have to prepare our table and we would have to wait. I was a little taken a back in the fact that one we had a reservation, so why isn't our table ready and two the restaurant was empty so again why wasn't our table ready? He was very cold and did not explain or speak to anyone in my party. Never introduced himself and made zero eye contact. The only time he even came over to our table was when one of the stakes was sent back because it was cooked incorrectly. The food basic! I've also celebrated my mom's birthday here. Reserved a table and ordered some pricey items from the regular dinner menu, but nothing wowed us, everything was bleh, even the dessert and lack of effort to make the birthday girl feel special. The fish and chips was laughably small, like two fish nuggets, but laughably overpriced! The lamb chops were better, but super salty, and of course expensive as well. Expect to drop some serious dough here. The waiters here tend to be too pushy and try to make you order more and more pricey items, which makes it uncomfortable. They make you feel like you're being cheap if you don't order drinks or order several items. Ambiance is ok earlier in the evening if you're looking for something quiet. After getting it heated , I was served with basically a hamburger (overcooked steak). Their service and server was okay . Something has changed because the food was not good. We ordered the short rib and Brussels sprouts. The short rib came out so fast and was lukewarm. Our server said the same thing on how fast it came out. I told him it was lukewarm and he said he could take it back but we were so hungry so we kept it. I wish crab cakes had or tasted more crabs. Truffle pasta tasted nice but after a while, all pasta got stuck and was too sticky with cream. Miso grazed sea bass was delicious. We went to STK for our Valentine's dinner, and it was a disaster from start to finish. First, my husband made a reservation for the dining room. When we arrived, the host told us there was no table available and that we had to wait. After waiting, we were seated at a very small table in the corner -- a poor location. The host told my husband that this and an outdoor table were the only options. However, we could clearly see many empty tables throughout the restaurant. The service was terrible. The server took a long time to come to our table and didn't even properly greet us -- no "Welcome to STK." He simply said his name and that was it. We ordered a dozen oysters, and they arrived with two different types. We're not sure if that's standard, but the server never explained it to us. Throughout the meal, empty plates were never cleared, and our water glasses were never refilled. This is not the level of service you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The most ridiculous part was the tomahawk steak. We ordered it medium rare. My husband repeated "medium rare" three times. Each time, the server responded "medium well." When the steak arrived, it was overcooked. Instead of apologizing and admitting the mistake, the manager tried to blame us. At that point, we decided to leave and go home instead of enjoying a nice dinner on a special day. If you're looking for a nice place to celebrate, I would recommend going somewhere else.
