I did the Miami spice menu, everything was good other than the lump crap and shrimp pasta, it didn't rly have no flavor but it wasn't bad. The spicy rigatoni was amazing it had a lil spice with some flavor. The calamari was amazing especially either the sauce it comes with, even showed an aftermath picture of the calamari lol. Went to North Italia for a family lunch on Sunday and it was perfect, they had the BRUNCH menu and it was a success! Our server Felipe was very nice and friendly, helpful to make our selections on food and drink. The kids menu is also very nice and with great options for the little ones. The only issue we had is that they had our server basically covering most of the restaurant so we would have to wait long periods, also the main food took a lot longer than it should. Have a big party? Think about going here twice. I was there with another couple and it was very nice. We even decided to have a birthday party there. We were 11 people, and we got 1 waitress. She really tried but she needed assistance. The food was nothing like it was the first time. Chicken parm, some had too much sauce and other barely had it. I had the spare ribs on mushroom risotto. The location is just steps away from AMC theater so we had lunch before heading to a movie. Santiago was an efficient server and made few suggestions, which we followed and we were not disappointed. The pasta is made in house and the notina sauce was delicious . I particularly liked that the sauce was not thick and overpowering. Went back just 1 week later pizza still great, meatball was cold and they cut the calamari portion in half and served it cold...total disappointment. This is a great casual spot for families and visitors to the Aventura Mall. I don't know if I'd recommend it for true Italian food though. The appetizers are tasty and so is the pizza however the pasta is just ok. Our bolognese claimed to be a house specialty but it lacked flavor and there was not much meat to it. The noodles were over cooked. The garlic bread with ricotta was insane though. I would def recommend that! The pizza was ok the crust delicious but the cheese slipped right off when we went to grab our slices. The service overall was pretty good and we enjoyed it. Will we be running back? I don't think so but if I find myself at the mall or at the esplanade it's a decent option. read more

Delicious delicious yellow tail crudo! It has a really nice light citrus and olive oil taste to it, with small bits of avocado. I recommend the spicy meatballs and the chicken pesto to share. Between two people we had enough food to share. The plate seen in the picture is actually the half portion of the pesto, which the staff split for us before serving. The warm caramel made it feel extra comforting, like a hug in dessert form. The ambiance is moody in the best way -- low, ambient lighting gives the space a cozy, upscale feel that's perfect for a relaxed night out. Aziza, our server, was lovely -- upbeat, kind, and super knowledgeable about the menu. She gave a great recommendation and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Went at 6:30 to North Italia for Mother's Day. There were 7 of us including my wife of over 50 years, my daughter-in-law and her 91 year old mother. We ordered the shrimp scampi. Out of shrimp! We ordered the calamari. Out of calamari! We ordered the lasagna. Out of lasagna! I ordered an extra, extra, extra dry martini on the rocks. They brought me a martini straight up, so back it went. They next brought the martini that to me, seemed like 50% vermouth, so back it went. They next bought me what appeared to be a dirty martini, so back it went. I gave them one more chance. They brought out the worst martini ever, ever, ever, so I gave up and had a beer. The food was okay. Not great but okay. Don't think I'll be going back. read more

A great Italian spot! The Tuna Crudo is a must to order as an appetizer! It is so fresh and has great flavor! I haven't tried their pizza, but I really enjoy their pastas! I tried North Italia in San Diego a while ago and I've always wanted to return. When I saw it was added to the Aventura Mall restaurants I knew I had to try it. Everything was good, from the bread, the drinks, the entree and the service. The restaurant is beautiful and I would definitely return but it is pricey. I've been meaning to try this place out for a while and I'm glad I got the opportunity to recently. The restaurant is clean, spacious and well designed. It has an open space concept for guests to sit inside or outside. An overall welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I sat at the bar which I recommend if going alone. My waiter/bartender was Vieri (hope I spelled it correctly). He was so helpful with the menu. He helped me to find the right drink and the right meal according to what I was going for. We enjoyed drinks and a few appetizers which included the meatballs the prosciutto bruschetta and split the kale caesar salad. The prosciutto bruschetta was good but I did not like the combo with the asparagus so we picked it off. The meatballs were decent but was not a huge fan of the polenta. The salad was absolutely amazing, one of the best I've had. We went last night with friends and started with a few apps. Excellent food and wine! Owned by the group that owns Grand Lux and Cheesecake Factory. They have happy hour from 3-6 pm on weekdays and brunch on the weekends. I stopped by for a happy hour with friends and sat outside on their very nice patio. Enjoy the peace and quiet here as this restaurant is located in the new addition to Aventura Mall called the Esplanade, which is not accessible from inside the mall, but from outside. Loved the short rib entree that I ordered as well as my glass of cab. The wine was fresh and the food was incredible - the short rib was so tender you could pull it apart with a fork! Served with delicious asparagus and carrots on creamy polenta. I also had a taste of my friend's pizza, which was also delish. I hope all of these new restaurants in the Esplanade get some traffic so they survive. The best food and restaurants at the mall are here in the Esplanade. Came here for girls night and it did not disappoint. My friend and I shared our meal. We started with the white truffle garlic bread to start. We shared the chicken parmesan and the lasagna. The chicken parmesan was outstanding with the parmesan rigatoni. The lasagna was good but nothing outstanding. My favorite was our cocktails, they were cute and delicious. A fantastic experience at the Aventura malls Esplanade. North Italia wasn't on my radar, however, I happen to stop in for a drink at their happy hour, and was pleasantly surprised. The wait staff was warm and inviting, and the atmosphere was fantastic. After enjoying a couple of drinks at the bar, I decided to stay for dinner. Wasn't that hungry so just ordered a pizza. I selected the prosciutto and Mission fig pizza, and was definitely pleasantly surprised by the pizza, I was amazed. This is honestly the best pizza I've ever had in years. The dough was perfect, it was nicely cooked, and the mix of goat cheese, figs, and prosciutto was amazing. I'm looking forward to my next visit already. read more

North Italia is one of my favorite date night spots in Aventura. They initially hooked me with one of their coupons they send out via email and I've gone back several times since. What I love the most is that it really feels like modern Italian food, with a mix of sweet/savory/spicy/salty. It's important to me that the menu doesn't feel one note but the food here is definitely on the unique side. Yes, it's not "cheap," at $80-$100 for a date night spend but I don't feel like the quality is down or service is lacking at all. The House favorite White Truffle Garlic Bread that is a mountain of cheesy, garlicky, goodness that's perfect to share! The calamari has a soft batter to it and you can't beat a hearty dip in the marinara sauce And the main character of the starters is the Banana Coffee Cake with dark rum butterscotch. It is soft, crumbly, and gets its crunch from the caramelized banana. Chefs kiss! Entrees: I tried a new take on the classic chicken parmesan with huge rigatoni and sitting on a bed a creamy parmesan sauce Their pizzas like the pasta are also handmade and I the spicy meatball is top tier. The crust is crunchy yet fluffy and the vodka sauce is perfection with the ricotta. For my seafood lovers the Squid Ink Tonnarelli is a spicy mix of tiger shrimp and calamari in a rich sauce And for something light but still equally delicious you can't go wrong with the juicy, flakey roasted salmon. I will always make room for dessert, so I'm bringing you the seasonal butter cake sporting a gingersnap and eggnog flavor. Its really is a bite of the holidays. North Italia is a new addition to Aventura Mall. I had the pleasure to get invited to their pre-opening event this past weekend and I had a great time. The restaurant is so nice! I love the ambiance and vibe. It is a big restaurant with seating outside and inside. Tall walls with chic decorations, beautiful lighting, and a big bar that serves all kind of fun drinks! The service was top notch. Our waiter was always attentive and gave my hubby and I great suggestions for our food order. We enjoy an "Arancini" as our appetizer which was delicious. Perfectly crunchy in the outside and smooth risotto in the inside. It came with a very nice cilantro sauce on the side. For our entries we ordered pasta Bolognese and squid ink pasta. They were both fantastic! A lot of flavor and quality ingredients. To close the night, we ordered Italian donuts. One can never go wrong with a sweet fried treat! We are familiar with North Italia. Everything was an amazing experience at Aventura location. The one flow I can only think of is the wait time for the main/entree, although our server did notify us about it and I am sure they'll figure it out over some time since they have just opened. Meatballs for starters were super tasty and quite filling with creamy polenta over red souse. Branzino for the main was very light (just what I wanted) and delicious, the fish itself was cooked perfectly which isn't an easy task for a thin white fish. For a moment I remembered a moment having similar tasting freshly caught and cooked fish of a wildfire back in a day with my family- amazing! Donuts were one of the tastiest I've ever had, so hot (temperature wise) and just melting in your mouth, I mean wow. Felt like I had my favorite malasadas back in Waikiki. Amazing. Tried out the new North Italia at The Esplanade Aventura and it did not disappoint. Full disclosure this review is from my sneak peak experience before they open the restaurant up to the public on 12/13/23. As part of the experience, I shared an appetizer, had my own entree and drink (but also tried my friends') and shared a dessert. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu items because everything was so good! -Prosciutto Bruschetta: 10/10 would recommend -Bistro Steak and eggs: ordered the steak medium and came out tender and cut easy. The menu says eggs are sunny side up but was given the option to order them however we wanted. The potatoes were delish. -Bolognese: I like pasta but I wouldn't consider myself a pasta-lover but it's the house specialty so I HAD to order it and have no regrets and would order again. -Seasonal Butter Cake: came with ice cream and while this will change with the seasons, the waiter made it sound drool-worthy and it tasted like I was having a bite of Christmas. -Vespa cocktail: light and refreshing, not very strong, thought it was great for a brunch drink -Bellini: it's a Bellini nothing more, nothing less, exactly what you order Service was great but someone did try to take my water cleaning the table before I was done with it and dessert hadn't been out yet.
