We enjoyed our first experience coming out to go glamping. We had a great time at our site and was glad we got to enjoy this unique structure. Even though it was cold for our night the staff was kind enough to send an electric blanket to keep warm. But hey, glamping right?! :) The other good thing is that there are some really good places to eat nearby (restaurants, not foraging in the woods lol) Come try one of the sites with your mate or family sometime soon.

We have celebrated our Honeymoon here in Dome 2 and it was a great experience. It was a great break after all the wedding celebrations and busy lives. Joanna is very communicative and great at responding to all the questions and needs. She also helped me to organize a surprise for my husband's birthday. We stayed for the July 4th weekend and got to see beautiful fireworks right from our room. The room is meticulously clean and great service. Would definitely visit again with a large family next time.

My husband and I celebrated our twentieth wedding anniversary by staying in The Nest Treehouse. I surprised him with the location. He drove following the GPS not knowing where we would end up. When we pulled into our parking space and he saw the sign, he said, This sign says, "parking for The Nest treehouse? I smiled and said, "We are staying in a treehouse!!!" We quickly got out of the car and made our way up the hill to the treehouse. It was perfect for a lovers getaway! Sitting out on the deck and listening to the sounds of nature was so calming and peaceful. It was relaxing being in the tree tops surrounded by branches and green leaves and the sounds of nature...the creek below, the birds and frogs...the perfect setting for reflecting on our time together. When taking a leisurely stroll around the property, we saw ducks, a beaver, several rabbits, numerous butterflies and two deer. The excitement of staying in a treehouse also brought back great memories from my childhood. It felt private and romantic. I appreciate the fact that the owners were easy to communicate with and made all directions and instructions very clear. We had a wonderful time, look forward to visiting again, and highly recommend The Nest!

My boyfriend and I stayed recently, and we were both extremely underwhelmed with our stay. We stayed in the Star Dome. We stayed on clear nights and could not see the stars through the mildew/stained windows of the dome. The mattress was very uncomfortable. As soon as we laid down, we both rolled to the middle because it was so sunken in. There is no way to lock your dome when you leave. We did not feel comfortable leaving our items in the dome. The bathhouse was filled with bugs, and as you shower in it, the bugs fly around more and more. Obviously bugs are expected, but it was excessive. Also, the vent above your head was filled with dead bugs as you're showering. There are absolutely no lights outside of the dome, so we didn't feel comfortable using the hot tub at night. The road coming in hadn't been graded recently so it was quite rough on our vehicle. Overall, extremely overpriced.. and we stayed during the non-peak prices. We will not be staying again. We were so excited for this trip, but the first night, we were looking up AirBnB's that seemed much nicer and were far less expensive. The only reason I'm leaving a 2 star review instead of 1 is because the location was good. We were able to get to downtown Asheville within 15 minutes.

As someone who has never had an interest in camping, I had a great time here! The views are gorgeous and I very much enjoyed the peace and quiet. We stayed in Dome 3 and the accommodations were great--who doesn't love an indoor slide?! As an introvert, I also loved having the couches and macrame chair to curl up and read a book in. As a warning, I'd say to plan to be out of the dome during the day as it got really hot in there around 9/10 am from the sun beaming down on the vinyl. Other than that, the AC and fans worked fine throughout our stay. Last but not least, I have to mention the lovely owner, Joanna, who also took our engagement photos during our stay here. She was so much fun and is very good with the camera! Hope to be back soon :)

*in response to owner below: totally not your fault on the warmth! we read and shared our event goers info on the heat, and planned our shoot accordingly due to your FAQS page on the heat. I only mentioned the heat for those who may have missed it or might be more sensitive to heat. all said in love! we really did have the best time! thanks again for having us. cheers ! i am a small business owner and put on events-they are women empowerment events, last year I booked our first Ever retreat outside of Virginia Beach. Here at ashville glamping. first, The response time via email was Incredible any question I had to ask no matter how many times I asked that they were on it and so kind. so helpful. 10/10 The dome tent is beautiful! would absolutely stay again. these are things you might want to know before going for dome 3 to help make you experience even better!! -an f350 8ft bed Diesel has a hard time getting up to the dome even in 4 wheel drive, its steep and all rocks sand and dirt. there is no turn around space for a vehicle of that size. -bring a broom and dustpan. accidental crumbs bring more bugs (ants) -bring cleaning supplies for accidental spills. -the upstairs gets REAL hot real fast. -the pull outs are full sized, the site says to bring sheets, however it came with pillows and sheets for pull outs! -Your bathroom will be a porta potty it is actually very clean. bring extra tp! and hand sanitizer -You may want to bring camp chairs there is no outdoor seating (dome 3) -there is a propane grill it does have propane and grilling tools. -bring your own ice ! or ice trays -bring trash bags- the trashcan is pretty decent sized but we were hosting an event with eight women our trashcan was filled the night we got there and they were no extra trash bags! -there was salt pepper left over plates and even some kuerig cups. and left over plasticware ! -communal bathroom/shower might be a little bit of a hike for some, its not "far" but its down hill and up hill from dome 3. - i would suggest going in the fall!!! There is an AC unit however quite a few hours of the day the sun is so high up on the dome it clears right in and you cannot escape the heat and because there are no windows we are allowed to open to draft or an automatic dome airvent at the top of the dome... the heat is stagnant and HOTTT. It may be too hot for some some so be sure to read the FAQS. there are curtains However they are too low to block the sun. if you are looking to get images done just make sure you know that there will be curtains throughout the whole opening of that dome. it Doesn't ruin the shots but it does change the look of the shots that we thought we could get based off of the images we saw when booking. sleeping it was in the 60s so the temp inside was perfect sleeping weather! there is a grocery store and gas right around the corner like 10 min down the mt. With all of this being said this is basically camping in a giant tent but reallll cute. , if you arent into tent camping , or rv or cabin camping this might mot be for you . We absolutely loved it. these are just things that we wish we had known so we could have prepared a little more. however we had the most amazing time!!! cant wait to come back!

I actually live in Asheville. Yup, I know. You're wondering why glamp in Asheville if I live here. Well, first off I wanted to see a side of Asheville I hadn't experienced. Also, my daughter who is 5 wanted to try camping, but wanted to sleep in a bed. And finally, I work a lot and needed a quick and easy trip to take a break and this is practically in my backyard! I found Asheville Glamping through a web search and was fascinated by the gorgeous domes, but started to think it was not gonna happen because I couldn't find a kid friendly dome, but lo and behold, Dome 3 (AKA the Megadome which the kids called it.) Boasting a slide, a loft, with a chic, sliding barn door, sectioning off a bedroom and another bed on the upper loft area. Not to mention two sofa beds on the main level. We stayed there in late August. The weather was great! The location is just outside the city and perfect for the city girl who thinks she fancies camping in some shape or form. The rundown... PROS: 1) The dome is pretty darn cool looking and fun to look at and out from. 2) Creature comforts like a fridge, electricity, a keurig and a propane grill are quite handy. We went grocery shopping and had all of our fixings ready. Burgers, buns, pancakes mix, eggs, etc. 3) The views are picturesque. 4) Dome 3 with the loft and slide allowed the kids to entertain themselves. It was like living in a clubhouse for them. 5) There is a lovely common area with firepit, showers and flushing toilets. CONS: 1) Porta-Johns. While it's close and convenient, it's a Porta-potty; in all it's rustic glory. It gets stinky. It gets unappealing to look down into. The kids were not into going in it, so we had a long walk down to the flushable toilet down in the common area (firepit). 2) The shower and flushing toilets are a bit on the rustic side. Those who camp will think this is super posh. Those who don't may be a bit put off by it. It didn't bother me much, but my husband and the kids were a tad uneasy. 3) No running water in the dome. This makes it tricky to wash hands or plates. 4) During the day, the dome can get warm and hard to cool. Maybe make that time of day, when you're outside and exploring the town to avoid the heat. So, all of this should be no surprise. It's clear on the website and the details, but just some things to consider. But, you know what. We had the BEST time. Unplugged most of the time, let the kids play. We glamped with another family we knew, so 4 adults, 3 kids at the height of it and it was a lot of FUN. Smores one night, a double-rainbow after the storm the next day. I love to cook, so the grill was in heavy use. We have some great memories here.

I have been wanting to stay here for awhile and saw a single night cancellation posted on Instagram that would work for for my husband and I so I quickly booked it! We had such a great time! Dome 5 is dog friendly so we were able to bring our golden retriever and our 2 month old. It was the first time since having our baby that we truly felt like ourselves again! It was so relaxing watching the clouds pass overhead when laying on the bed as the baby napped. There were so many great recommendations for dog friendly restaurants in the area in the binder. We chose to go to Avenue M and had a great experience! Overall it was perfect! Just what we needed as new parents!

My wife and I stayed in Dome #5 and we loved the experience. Check in and out process was seamless and easy. The site is a great location, short drive to downtown Asheville and far away enough for stargazing although we had cloudy weather during our stay. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway!

My husband and I are always on the lookout for new adventures so, when I stumbled upon "Asheville Glamping" I was definitely intrigued. I looked over all the options and decided the "dome" was spot for us! We had never stayed in a dome and the pictures of it seemed amazing. We booked early and couldn't wait for our adventure to begin. Joanna was marvelous from the start. She answered my questions quickly and sent us wonderful directions, instructions and a great booklet of suggestions of things to do, see and eat in the area. We felt well prepared weeks before our arrival. I want to stress that she was very thorough in informing guests about what to expect. For example, if you don't like camping then this is not the spot for you. There will be bugs, etc.... There are many levels of "glamping" and if you read you will know exactly what you are booking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. The "dome" was absolutely AMAZING!! I squealed with delight as we entered the property and saw the "dome" lit up on the hill. My husband couldn't drive fast enough! All I wanted to do was explore. We opened up the door to the "dome" and were in awe of our view. It was fall and the fall colors out the front of the "dome" were incredible. We loved the simplicity of the space. Our lives are so crazy busy that this is exactly what we needed. The bed was comfortable. All I wanted to do was lay back and look at the stars all night and then sunrise in the morning. We couldn't believe this was our life!! So romantic. Joanna gave us a space to unwind, talk and laugh with each other which is usually the first things to go when busy with work, etc. The outhouse (steps away) from the "dome" was perfect. It had a toilet that flushes and an awesome shower. Let me not forget the nice heater in the "dome" that kept us toasty with the colder weather. Joanna, thank you for creating this space and for sharing it with us and all your other guests. We will tell everyone about our experience and urge them to book with you. We hope to come back in the future!!

This is how the domes are erected and the type of gaps you get -- so unsealed means very much critter accessible in a way camping isn't

Cubs Den is located in an incredibly beautiful setting close to Asheville with easy access to great skiing and hiking. It feels wonderfully remote while still being very convenient to town and nearby amenities. Watching deer wander into a field below the house at sunset was the best. The house itself is exceptionally well stocked. It truly feels like a cross between a five star hotel and an Airbnb. When we walked in, it felt as though we were the very first guests. Everything is brand new, in perfect condition, and spotlessly clean. Truly, all you need to bring is a toothbrush and food. Everything else has been thoughtfully provided. The layout was ideal for our family of four with two adults and two kids. The main level includes a comfortable living area, dining space, kitchen, and bathroom. The hot tub is just outside the back door, making it incredibly easy to enjoy. Upstairs, there are two matching primary suites, each with a very comfortable king bed and a spacious bathroom with both a tub and shower. The laundry is also upstairs and conveniently located. The listing mentions three bedrooms, which can be a bit confusing. The bunk beds are more of an extra sleeping area adjacent to the two bedrooms. It is really a very spacious two bedroom home, and it worked perfectly for us. We were visiting friends who have a home in Wolf Laurel near the new Hatley Pointe ski resort. I did not want to stay in an old, moldy cabin, and while this home required a bit more driving, it was absolutely worth it. We loved this house and are already looking at dates for our next stay. Huge thank you!

NEVER AGAIN! When we…read morefirst arrived at our Airbnb, hosted by Carolina Mornings, the first thing we noticed was how dirty the hot tub cover and outdoor tables were. Granted, this was a cabin surrounded by many trees, so a light layer of dust would be expected and acceptable. However, these were well beyond that. As we approached the front door, we noticed that the outdoor couch had several holes. Upon closer inspection, it was obvious a rodent had been living in it, making it completely unusable. We walked inside the cabin, unloaded our vehicle, and settled in. Immediately, we messaged Carolina Mornings to express our disappointment, stating that it looked like weeks or months had passed since these items were last maintained. They responded that "the furniture and hot tub space are exposed to the elements, and sometimes dust, pollen, and even critters can build up quickly between cleanings. That said, it should have been better prepared for your arrival, and I apologize that it wasn't." Later, Vince called and said they would have the couch cushions cleaned and sanitized. We explained that the items were likely beyond repair, having already sent photos. A few hours later, they called back stating they couldn't repair or replace the item during our 8-night stay. They advised us to throw away the cushions and pillows, then suggested we use indoor couch cushions outside. They offered tickets to nearby attractions, but we declined, explaining that we specifically booked this cabin to enjoy its outdoor space, not local attractions. The following night, we decided to relax and tried turning on the TV for the first time, only to find it unplugged with no working remotes. The soundbar remote didn't work, and the Dish Network remote wouldn't sync. We sent photos and explained we had to hook up our laptop to watch anything, which was absurd. They said a technician would come in the morning. The next evening, after being out all day, we returned to find nobody had come and we hadn't received a call. Carolina Mornings then claimed, "From your message yesterday, we understood you had sorted out the TV issue, so we didn't send a technician." I reiterated our frustration and asked for escalation to a manager. They replied, "I apologize that the technician did not follow through this morning as expected." I asked which statement was true since both couldn't be. They avoided answering, then said they'd send a tech. The technician later confirmed it was a syncing issue requiring Dish Network support. Again, there was no follow-up. After 24 more hours with no contact, I messaged Carolina Mornings. They apologized and said a new remote had "already" been ordered. I responded, "Are you not going to escalate this? Is there no manager? Are you refusing? 'Already'? We checked in Thursday. Tomorrow is Monday--halfway through our stay. This should've worked before we arrived. Communication would have gone a long way." They said their admin team would reach out Monday, but this was wrong because Monday was a holiday. Someone finally contacted me on Tuesday. Jodi, a team lead, called. When she learned we had to move the indoor cushions outside and back in daily, she claimed they'd told us to flip the original cushions and put a throw on top. That was false, and I reiterated what had actually been said. I explained there were too many different people involved with no resolution and again asked if she was a manager. She was only a team lead. After several back-and-forth messages with Jodi--and declining free tickets again--she offered to remove 1 of 8 nights (not including fees) as their "best offer." I told her my only recourse would be to contact Airbnb directly, which I did. Airbnb reviewed everything and responded with a fair resolution, stating they would contact Carolina Mornings and that situations like this could result in a suspension of the host's account. Interestingly, while reading prior reviews, we discovered that another guest also reported problems with rodents. This confirmed our concerns weren't isolated. To make matters worse, Carolina Mornings' rental agreement is over 7,800 words long--unbelievable for an Airbnb stay. Throughout this entire experience, they consistently pointed fingers, avoided accountability, failed to escalate issues despite multiple requests, and even contradicted themselves to cover mistakes. We booked this cabin to enjoy the outdoor space and relax. Instead, we spent our vacation dealing with filth, unusable furniture, rodents, a broken TV, poor communication, and outright lies. Avoid Carolina Mornings at all costs.

There were LOTS of things I loved about the house, but I was really impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with quality items. I usually bring my own serving platters, knives, trash bags, paper towels, etc. and we never even had to unpack any of those items. The kitchen had everything you could need -- from a variety of coffee to ziploc bags to massive serving platters. The rest of the house was thoughtfully stocked too with things like laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, firewood, etc. Another feature that was hugely helpful was every thing was labeled in the house -- all of the remotes, switches, speaker system, wi-fi, etc. Lastly, Jay (the owner) is an incredible host. He had his phone number posted in several places so you can easily reach him and was a breeze to work with.

Let me start by saying that Jay, the owner of the 3 Upstream Way homes (Penthouse, Bachelorette,…read moreBohemian), is amazing. He has built a beautiful oasis of upscale, modern, cozy homes overlooking the French Broad River and the grounds of the Biltmore Estate. I highly encourage you to book 1-3 of his side by side homes (soon to be 4!) for your family, friends, celebration, etc. He spared no expensive in constructing and decorating the homes and it shows. I wish I could live full time in any of his houses. They have literally any amenity you could need and then some. No detail is too small for him to notice. We booked his 3 houses to hosts guests in lieu of an isolating hotel block for our wedding. Our friends were super excited- we planned to put friend groups together in different houses and it was going to be a reunion weekend for so many people! Sadly we had to cancel because of the pandemic- but that can't stop me from recommending Jay's accommodations. In addition to staying at one of the houses ourselves, we were going to hold the ceremony at the end of the road directly adjacent to the houses. Jay was incredibly generous with his time, giving us tours of the property, discussing modifications to fit our needs, figuring out bed arrangements to fit our guests, etc. We had several calls and meetings with him over the course of a year as we planned our wedding on his property. Of all the people we worked with over the course of planning the wedding, he was the one we felt the most confident about in terms of seeing our plans through. Such a friendly guy! He really care about making sure you have a great time during your stay. If you're just looking for a few days vacation in Asheville, it's the perfect spot. Great house, great location. Borrow his inner tubes and go for a ride down the French Broad River to the New Belgium Brewery. Relax in the hot tub. Enjoy the high quality, high tech amenities. Perfect for friends, families, anyone. If you're looking to plan something more than just a few days vacation- whether it be a wedding, corporate retreat, reunion, etc- this is the place. Jay will help with whatever you need to make your special event function smoothly. I truly can't recommend him enough. He's a gem.

I am late in posting my review for our stay that occurred 9/19 - 9/23. Our stay ended just a few…read moredays before Hurricane Helene. Please read my entire review, particularly the end. Excellent stay! Second time at Asheville Cottaged and we cannot say enough about the experience. They think of everything to make your experience top notch! We arrived and were feeling a little snacky. No problem! The snack tree and variety of waters/soft drinks/juiced beverages in the fridge were welcome! We browsed the binder for suggestions on where to grab dinner. After dinner at White Duck Taco, we stopped Ingles for a few groceries. Of course, Tracie and Marshall made sure each cottage had an Ingels savings card to use! Need a battery? Under the kitchen sink. Ziplock bag? Yep..,check a drawer in kitchen. They think of everything you may need and have it on hand for you! Loved the soaking tub! Loved the heated bathroom floor. Loved heated toilet seat. Accidentally hit a button on the bidet in the middle of the night and got a little surprise rinse off. . The big surprises were seeing a few bears late one afternoon behind the cottage (Magnolia). Thankfully, we just sat quietly on the deck and they looked at us and took off for the woods. Overall, it was a great trip and on the flight home, I started to look at availability to come back for a girls trip later in the Fall with my sister and niece. But before I could book anything, Hurricane Helene severely impacted the area. My heart breaks for all the families who lost loved ones in this disaster. By finding them on social media to see if they were ok, I found out that thankfully Asheville Cottages did not sustain much damage due to their location. Since Asheville tourism is essentially stopped, Tracie and Marshall have graciously opened their cottages to local families who have been displaced by the hurricane as they still have electricity and water. They also are still paying their employees salaries during this time (as they did during Covid) - taking care of them like family. THIS is exactly the kind of small business that my husband and I are proud to support so we will be staying at Asheville Cottages next time we come to Asheville...whenever that can happen.
