Just ended my 2nd and last night here today! Stayed in the Deluxe bell tent and me and my partner enjoyed the stay very much! The beds were comfy the tent was cute inside and everything was clean including the public bathhouse. I however did not use the porta potty because I don't use those but I'm sure it was clean. We came in the winter time and if your issue with camping is bugs then i suggest this is the time to go if you can bare the cold! Did not see a single insect which helped because I cannot do spiders Lol! Ended the long day coming back from snowboarding by easing down in the hot tub while watching the stars. Honestly stayed warm for 20 minutes after getting out of tub. Couldn't figure out how to use heat/ac unit so we used our own space heater we brought but theres a page in the binder about how to use it that I wish we saw. (our fault) Either way the blankets kept us plenty warm and the sun in the morning warmed us up too. Fun experience overall and did not dissapoint. Saw somewhere in a review I think about frozen pipes and prepared for that and I think they were frozen because no water came out of sink or shower. That was no problem for us though because we brought plenty of water bottles. Still recommend regardless because you don't get a shower camping usually anyways. read more

This was the perfect fall getaway, our kids LOVED the dome tent with the yellow slide while we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub under the stars. I am not sure if other people were there- it was suuuper quiet. If you go here make sure to take a short drive up to hot springs resort and enjoy the natural hot springs (you are welcome lol one of my fav activities) Also- Ashville botanical gardens were free and a fun adventure for both kids and adults read more

We enjoyed our first experience coming out to go glamping. We had a great time at our site and was glad we got to enjoy this unique structure. Even though it was cold for our night the staff was kind enough to send an electric blanket to keep warm. We have celebrated our Honeymoon here in Dome 2 and it was a great experience. It was a great break after all the wedding celebrations and busy lives. Joanna is very communicative and great at responding to all the questions and needs. She also helped me to organize a surprise for my husband's birthday. We stayed for the July 4th weekend and got to see beautiful fireworks right from our room. The room is meticulously clean and great service. The idea is good, the execution is not. We reserved the blue slide dome and were very excited about it. Unfortunately, the road that leads up to the dome was so awful -- it's uneven and has dirt ditches/trenches-- they were so bad that we had to call a tow truck to have our car pulled as it got stuck. If you don't have a four wheel drive, be warned that you will likely get stuck. The road is not safe. I wish this was noted on the website because if it had been, we wouldn't have made reservations. I hope they note this in the future. Because our car couldn't make it to the actual dome, we had to walk up and down the hill to reach the dome, which is pretty hard for adults and even harder with a child. We ended up leaving two days early because it was a miserable experience. We lost so much money and time. Other things to know: The shared bathrooms flood leaving you to wonder if you're standing in dirty water. The inside of the dome is very nicely decorated and the slide is fun, but it all needs a good cleaning. I wish we had read the negative reviews before because many of them are accurate. This place is overpriced and disappointing. All in all, if anyone wants to go glamping in Asheville, it's better to use glamping collective. My husband and I celebrated our twentieth wedding anniversary by staying in The Nest Treehouse. I surprised him with the location. He drove following the GPS not knowing where we would end up. When we pulled into our parking space and he saw the sign, he said, This sign says, "parking for The Nest treehouse? I smiled and said, "We are staying in a treehouse!!!" We quickly got out of the car and made our way up the hill to the treehouse. It was perfect for a lovers getaway! Sitting out on the deck and listening to the sounds of nature was so calming and peaceful. It was relaxing being in the tree tops surrounded by branches and green leaves and the sounds of nature...the creek below, the birds and frogs...the perfect setting for reflecting on our time together. When taking a leisurely stroll around the property, we saw ducks, a beaver, several rabbits, numerous butterflies and two deer. The excitement of staying in a treehouse also brought back great memories from my childhood. It felt private and romantic. I appreciate the fact that the owners were easy to communicate with and made all directions and instructions very clear. We had a wonderful time, look forward to visiting again, and highly recommend The Nest! read more

My boyfriend and I stayed recently, and we were both extremely underwhelmed with our stay. We stayed in the Star Dome. We stayed on clear nights and could not see the stars through the mildew/stained windows of the dome. The mattress was very uncomfortable. As soon as we laid down, we both rolled to the middle because it was so sunken in. There is no way to lock your dome when you leave. We did not feel comfortable leaving our items in the dome. The bathhouse was filled with bugs, and as you shower in it, the bugs fly around more and more. Obviously bugs are expected, but it was excessive. Also, the vent above your head was filled with dead bugs as you're showering. There are absolutely no lights outside of the dome, so we didn't feel comfortable using the hot tub at night. The road coming in hadn't been graded recently so it was quite rough on our vehicle. Overall, extremely overpriced.. and we stayed during the non-peak prices. We will not be staying again. We were so excited for this trip, but the first night, we were looking up AirBnB's that seemed much nicer and were far less expensive. The only reason I'm leaving a 2 star review instead of 1 is because the location was good. We were able to get to downtown Asheville within 15 minutes. read more

This experience was not what I expected for the amount of money I paid. The website plays up the glamp part of it with the photos and in reality, it's a lot more camp and a lot less glamp. We stayed in one of the tents and I was pretty disappointed. The grill was very dirty with no brush or anything to clean it. Most of the lights didn't work. The AC (window type unit) didn't work. I read everything on the website. I know there are bugs, I know that it is nature, I know there are animals, but as far as things working and being clean, c'mon..I paid a lot for this experience. Clean the grill. Keep up with maintenance. They told me they would bring me firewood after coming to fix the lights and clean the grill, but never came back. Not everyone makes a ton of money to just throw away or just chalk up as a loss. I saved up for months for this and have been wanting to try it for years. I think each site should have it's own bath house, that would've been pretty cool. The website is very misleading and I feel bad that I was lured in by some of the awesome pictures on there. They were all done by a professional and not a lot of real ideas about how the sites really are. At least now I know. read more

As someone who has never had an interest in camping, I had a great time here! The views are gorgeous and I very much enjoyed the peace and quiet. We stayed in Dome 3 and the accommodations were great--who doesn't love an indoor slide?! As an introvert, I also loved having the couches and macrame chair to curl up and read a book in. As a warning, I'd say to plan to be out of the dome during the day as it got really hot in there around 9/10 am from the sun beaming down on the vinyl. Other than that, the AC and fans worked fine throughout our stay. Last but not least, I have to mention the lovely owner, Joanna, who also took our engagement photos during our stay here. Here at ashville glamping. first, The response time via email was Incredible any question I had to ask no matter how many times I asked that they were on it and so kind. so helpful. 10/10 The dome tent is beautiful! would absolutely stay again. these are things you might want to know before going for dome 3 to help make you experience even better!! -an f350 8ft bed Diesel has a hard time getting up to the dome even in 4 wheel drive, its steep and all rocks sand and dirt. there is no turn around space for a vehicle of that size. -bring a broom and dustpan. accidental crumbs bring more bugs (ants) -bring cleaning supplies for accidental spills. -the upstairs gets REAL hot real fast. -the pull outs are full sized, the site says to bring sheets, however it came with pillows and sheets for pull outs! -Your bathroom will be a porta potty it is actually very clean. bring extra tp! and hand sanitizer -You may want to bring camp chairs there is no outdoor seating (dome 3) -there is a propane grill it does have propane and grilling tools. -bring your own ice ! or ice trays -bring trash bags- the trashcan is pretty decent sized but we were hosting an event with eight women our trashcan was filled the night we got there and they were no extra trash bags! -there was salt pepper left over plates and even some kuerig cups. and left over plasticware ! -communal bathroom/shower might be a little bit of a hike for some, its not "far" but its down hill and up hill from dome 3. - i would suggest going in the fall!!! There is an AC unit however quite a few hours of the day the sun is so high up on the dome it clears right in and you cannot escape the heat and because there are no windows we are allowed to open to draft or an automatic dome airvent at the top of the dome... the heat is stagnant and HOTTT. It may be too hot for some some so be sure to read the FAQS. there are curtains However they are too low to block the sun. if you are looking to get images done just make sure you know that there will be curtains throughout the whole opening of that dome. it Doesn't ruin the shots but it does change the look of the shots that we thought we could get based off of the images we saw when booking. sleeping it was in the 60s so the temp inside was perfect sleeping weather! there is a grocery store and gas right around the corner like 10 min down the mt. With all of this being said this is basically camping in a giant tent but reallll cute. , if you arent into tent camping , or rv or cabin camping this might mot be for you . I actually live in Asheville. Yup, I know. You're wondering why glamp in Asheville if I live here. Well, first off I wanted to see a side of Asheville I hadn't experienced. Also, my daughter who is 5 wanted to try camping, but wanted to sleep in a bed. And finally, I work a lot and needed a quick and easy trip to take a break and this is practically in my backyard! I found Asheville Glamping through a web search and was fascinated by the gorgeous domes, but started to think it was not gonna happen because I couldn't find a kid friendly dome, but lo and behold, Dome 3 (AKA the Megadome which the kids called it.) Boasting a slide, a loft, with a chic, sliding barn door, sectioning off a bedroom and another bed on the upper loft area. Not to mention two sofa beds on the main level. We stayed there in late August. The weather was great! The location is just outside the city and perfect for the city girl who thinks she fancies camping in some shape or form. The rundown... PROS: 1) The dome is pretty darn cool looking and fun to look at and out from. 2) Creature comforts like a fridge, electricity, a keurig and a propane grill are quite handy. We went grocery shopping and had all of our fixings ready. Burgers, buns, pancakes mix, eggs, etc. 3) The views are picturesque. 4) Dome 3 with the loft and slide allowed the kids to entertain themselves. It was like living in a clubhouse for them. 5) There is a lovely common area with firepit, showers and flushing toilets. CONS: 1) Porta-Johns. While it's close and convenient, it's a Porta-potty; in all it's rustic glory. It gets stinky. It gets unappealing to look down into. The kids were not into going in it, so we had a long walk down to the flushable toilet down in the common area (firepit). 2) The shower and flushing toilets are a bit on the rustic side. Those who camp will think this is super posh. Those who don't may be a bit put off by it. It didn't bother me much, but my husband and the kids were a tad uneasy. 3) No running water in the dome. This makes it tricky to wash hands or plates. 4) During the day, the dome can get warm and hard to cool. Maybe make that time of day, when you're outside and exploring the town to avoid the heat. So, all of this should be no surprise. It's clear on the website and the details, but just some things to consider. But, you know what. We had the BEST time. Unplugged most of the time, let the kids play. We glamped with another family we knew, so 4 adults, 3 kids at the height of it and it was a lot of FUN. Smores one night, a double-rainbow after the storm the next day. I love to cook, so the grill was in heavy use. We have some great memories here. read more

My wife and I stayed in Asheville Glamping's Deluxe Bell Tent and had the most amazing time! As my wife says the tent "was so cute and felt like a home away from home." The weather wasn't the greatest during our trip as it rained but that wasn't an issue at all, we stayed dry and warm in side the tent just relaxing. When the rain stopped we enjoyed the Hot Tub, fire pit and the view of the mountain side. Asheville glamping also put together a welcome book with what's in the area and restaurants to try, we just went to the 3 restaurants on the first page of recommendations and they were absolutely delicious, each of those restaurants get 5 stars as well. The Biltmore and everything else in Asheville is extremely close and extremely easy to get to. We highly recommend and will be going back in the future. read more

I have been wanting to stay here for awhile and saw a single night cancellation posted on Instagram that would work for for my husband and I so I quickly booked it! We had such a great time! Dome 5 is dog friendly so we were able to bring our golden retriever and our 2 month old. It was the first time since having our baby that we truly felt like ourselves again! It was so relaxing watching the clouds pass overhead when laying on the bed as the baby napped. There were so many great recommendations for dog friendly restaurants in the area in the binder. My fiancé and I took a weekend getaway for our 3rd year anniversary and we're were "wowed" by this cute treehouse. The moment we walked up to it we were soooo in love with it. We had our own bathroom which we loved. It was small but a good size. JoAnna responded quickly with any questions I had about my reservation via email and that is a plus plus! It wasn't far from all other attractions either. My fiancé we took a trip to the NC Arboretum and we also went hiking at Roan Mountain which was about an hour away. My husband and I are always on the lookout for new adventures so, when I stumbled upon "Asheville Glamping" I was definitely intrigued. I looked over all the options and decided the "dome" was spot for us! We had never stayed in a dome and the pictures of it seemed amazing. We booked early and couldn't wait for our adventure to begin. Joanna was marvelous from the start. She answered my questions quickly and sent us wonderful directions, instructions and a great booklet of suggestions of things to do, see and eat in the area. We felt well prepared weeks before our arrival. I want to stress that she was very thorough in informing guests about what to expect. For example, if you don't like camping then this is not the spot for you. There will be bugs, etc.... There are many levels of "glamping" and if you read you will know exactly what you are booking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. The "dome" was absolutely AMAZING!! I squealed with delight as we entered the property and saw the "dome" lit up on the hill. My husband couldn't drive fast enough! All I wanted to do was explore. We opened up the door to the "dome" and were in awe of our view. It was fall and the fall colors out the front of the "dome" were incredible. We loved the simplicity of the space. Our lives are so crazy busy that this is exactly what we needed. The bed was comfortable. All I wanted to do was lay back and look at the stars all night and then sunrise in the morning. We couldn't believe this was our life!! So romantic. Joanna gave us a space to unwind, talk and laugh with each other which is usually the first things to go when busy with work, etc. The outhouse (steps away) from the "dome" was perfect. It had a toilet that flushes and an awesome shower. Let me not forget the nice heater in the "dome" that kept us toasty with the colder weather. Joanna, thank you for creating this space and for sharing it with us and all your other guests. We will tell everyone about our experience and urge them to book with you. My family andI stayed in the safari tent, two adults and two kids (ages 5 and 3), we LOVED it! The tent is spacious the bed was super comfortable and the blankets were soft and cozy. We are avid campers so we felt more than ready for whatever definition of glamping this would fall under. I was wrong, haha, but I think through very little fault of the owners. Rereading their disclosures, they try to be extremely upfront without obviously ruining the entire sell. Given there are such glamorous photos of the facilities, I thought it would help to see a good, bad, and ugly review. The good: This should really be called the great. Their sloping property meant domes and safari tents were located with gorgeous unobstructed views of the mountains. Hands down you are paying for a top notch campsite view. I included pictures of the AMAZING 6am sunrise we captured from our dome view. What we couldn't capture well was at night when the trees would seem to magically be lit up like twinkle lights from the glow of lightning bugs. Hands down one of the coolest things I've seen! We were slightly surprised how close some of the sites were to each other as photos seem to imply lots of distance between each site. However, we were in Dome 2 and it was definitely one of the most private being at the top and had what seemed like the most glorious view. The hosts decorated fabulously. I think that's what comes across in all the website photos and why these make perfect photoshoot backdrops. With a Boho chic vibe, when we first arrived we were immediately impressed by how ice cold the space was and cute it was decorated. They even provide thoughtful extras like a grill, mini fridge, lighter fluid, matches, trash bags, etc. As you can see by our first photo of the space when we arrived, everything is just as advertised. The bad: At first glance, the decor and uniqueness of the space wows you. However, as you then settle in, the cracks in the amenities start to come through. The bathroom has a shower with an instant hot water heater that doesn't seem to be able to handle the flow. My husband hopped in for a quick rinse after a hike and said the temperature would swing from ice cold to blistering hot to no water at all coming out. The bathroom does have a true sit down toilet though, which was a nice perk. There is no sink to wash your hands, brush your teeth or any mirror in the bathroom or dome itself though. These were in no way deal breakers though. It is all an upgrade from camping so far, after all! While the bed on floor in the pictures seems lovely and quaint, in practice was not great. An elevated bed frame would have helped us feel we were not quite so close to the bugs that came in, which leads to... The ugly: The bugs. There is a WHOLE FAQ devoted to this!! I read it. No one should try and claim these hosts are hiding anything or were unclear. I just failed to believe them. However, this is where practical reviews instead of staged photos could really help connect some dots that less astute readers like myself did not logically put together. When they say the domes are not sealed, that is code for if you leave a light on in the dome, it will attract ALL THE BUGS and when ALL THE BUGS are inside, they are trapped with you and you are now hanging out with ALL THE BUGS. As avid campers, we had read bugs and thought no problem! A few guys here and there never hurt anyone. What we failed to realize was when we camp, we are outdoors. The bugs are not trapped with us outdoors. Then, when we sleep or hang out in a tent -- a perfectly sealed tent -- the bugs cannot enter unless you leave the tent unzipped. So the bugs issue is not like camping. It is worse. Far far worse. First night there, we went off to dinner and my husband left the pretty lantern lights on to keep the space lit for our return. We came back to over a hundred flying creatures stuck in our dome and -- worse, all congregating above our bed (where the clear plastic is) and desperately trying to get out. That was a big mistake on our part. However, also a terrible feature of the dome because an occupant would need to be prepared to operate in the dark or use light sparingly. Overall, for the cost ($250+/night) is a little steep for the quality of the facility. However, if they'd let you try the experience for one night then it'd jump up a star because it IS a magical, try at least once in your life experience...when you get over the bugs. read more

My stay in The Glaminal was extremely disappointing. I'm not new to camping/glamping in campers and read the entire FAQ so I felt I was reasonably informed of what the stay would be. Unfortunately, I felt completely tricked and misled by the info/photos on the site and the photos on Instagram. Those photos lead you to believe youre going to experience a level of cleanliness and privacy that you will definitely not. I'm most upset about how run-down and dirty the entire rental was given what the photos look like. You dont need to be a 5-star resort to have clean quarters! The Glaminal smells awful inside. It is vintage and no work at all has been done to remediate the musty smell (actually it appears that no renovation at all has been done to the interior). The fridge ruined our food with a terrible odor. I've been glamping in airstreams before and have no issue with live creepy crawly bugs but the cabinets, drawers, and surfaces were dusty and had old dead bugs in a lot of places indicating they are not cleaned regularly (or at all maybe?). There were no curtains over the bedroom window which could be seen directly from the firepit and other rentals. The hot water in the shower didnt work at all. Yes, these are all small things, but there were these and a lot more small things and they added up to a mediocre stay. I understand it's not "high-falutin" but for the price paid I would assume basic cleanliness/maintenance and even a bare bones renovation to a 50 year old camper. The cover photo for "The Glaminal" is actually taken from the backside of the trailer and staged to look like the front. This is a completely misleading depiction of the rental. Notice that among all of the info posted online there is no map of the 15 acre property that outlines exactly where each rental is. That's bc they want you to believe theres even a modicum of privacy - there isnt. The photos of Dome 4 make it look private and secluded but it isnt secluded from the other rentals (you're about 20 feet from the glaminal, the baby airstream, and the shared firepit) and isnt on a hill. When I stayed in The Glaminal which is directly next door to Dome 4, I (and the ppl in the baby airstream) could see directly into the tent at all hours of the day and night. Also bc it is their property, as others have mentioned there is old junk just thrown about haphazardly like you would have in an old backyard. If you love the photos and want to take some of your own, stay at any of the rentals for 1 night. You'll get the most amazing, clout increasing instagrams. Any longer than one night is just not worth the price charged, especially not for the campers and airstream, and is actually worse than regular camping since you cannot even leave without forfeiting the entirety of what you paid so youre stuck in a smelly, run down camper. read more

Ever since my 7th grade world history class on the Mongolians, I have been fascinated by that #yurtlife. My dream finally came true last summer, thanks to Asheville Glamping! I planned our babymoon on a whim and it looks like the stars aligned because I was able to cross out my dreams of staying in both a yurt and an airstream off my bucket list during our stay. The Mini Yurt had a wonderful boho feel and was located right next to a little lake with twinkling lights pulled right across it. At night the entire yurt glows which makes for magical photos (I had to drag my pregnant belly up a little hill to take them but it was so worth it). My favorite part of our little plot of land was the outdoor shower. It felt amazing to take a long, hot shower with the sunlight basking on your body. I could have stayed there forever! The Glaminal Royal Spartanette is their biggest and newest camper was our home for the rest of our trip and was all decked out in chrome and mid-century modern decor. It also had air conditioning which was a huge plus for this preggo gal! It was absolutely an Instagram dream inside there but I didn't like it as much as our roomy, sun filled yurt mostly because the bathroom inside was super cramped. When you turned the water on inside, brown water / bugs would come out and the fridge smelled super old and musty. I ended up sneaking showers in the outdoor shower at our old site when nobody was there. That being said, if you are looking for an out of the ordinary Asheville experience this is the place to do it! It would be fun for a group of friends to rent an entire camp site to build fires and bond. read more

We were very excited for our getaway to the dome homes in the hills outside of Asheville. Location is good, our dome had a slide for the kids and we were in need of disconnecting from the daily grind. Sadly, this was not the getaway we were looking for. The dome is hot, the "bathroom" is a port-a-potty and it was INFESTED with ticks. We're not talking 1 or 2, we're talking a legion of blood sucking insects. In 24 hours we counted well over 10 - many of them in the "bathroom" waiting to jump on us and many others at the outdoor fire pit. I'm a lifelong camper and I've never seen anything like it. Add in some serious road noise and this was not even close to worth the price. In the end, we cut our trip short as no one in the party could relax. Bare minimum, please spray for bugs! Even then, not worth this price. read more

I found a glamping place nearby our hometown and got very excited to go there! What day would have been better than my birthday to visit such an amazing place.I and my spouse fell in love with the dome and it's beauty.We are definitely going back to try other stay options as they have tent,tree house and bigger domes and much more!This place is so close to the downtown and a lot of other attractions like Blue Ridge Parkway,Grandfather mountain and a lot of trails which makes it a fun place altogether.They don't have meal options but that isn't an issue as there are a lot of restaurants within 5 miles.The domes have shared bathrooms.Our dome had a heater and a small refrigerator.We even had electric heated blanket in the dome.The staff is very friendly and helpful.This place is a secluded lovely natural spot I feel! read more

I hated to leave!! The treehouse is so amazing. I booked the treehouse over the winter while they were still building it and it still turned out to be better than I had imagined. From the moment we got up to the treehouse we were blown away!! There is a walk up the trail to the treehouse (which we knew) and that might make this site hard to access for some people. When we reached the bridge it was like walking into a fairytale!! All my photos looked dope here. Then we went into the actual treehouse and it's pretty much the coolest spot I ever slept. Theres' a tree growing through the actual floor and roof of the treehouse that it is built around it and windows all over. You can hear the sound of the stream down below which is so relaxing at night. We were geeking out watching the fireflies from the deck when it got dark. Absolutely love this place. When we first booked we didn't even realize it had it's own little bathroom so this was definitely a bonus! It also has it's own little kitchen with the cutest vintage looking fridge and even a sink. Also the owners were super nice and let us check out the new dome they are building on the property- when we go back to NC one of the domes is definitely on our bucket list bc there's a hot tub too! Thank you for such a memorable experience! I was a bit nervous on how my boys would respond to glamping because they are familiar with hotel stays. And let me tell you our boys loved the Glaminal!!!! They loved the retro throwback and everything about it! We enjoyed the campfire and making s'mores, grilling our meals and spending quality time with our family. We also had the chance to go whitewater rafting yesterday which was incredible! We met the best glamping neighbors too!!!! I happen to be a yoga instructor and led an impromptu yoga session by the fire pit last night...but perhaps my favorite part was watching my boys play and run through the glampsite and laugh together completely disconnected from their electronics. We both wanted to like it but ultimately felt the execution just didn't live up to the expectation with the nightly rate. We've both been camping (tent/com bath) before but after our stay in the glaminal, we agreed that all of the reviews weren't representative of our experience and wanted to at least share ours. The biggest negatives were more a lack of cleanliness in the communal shower/restroom to the awful smell (think rotten eggs but more potent ) from the running water inside of the RV. We ended up showering at the Planet Fitness down the road and using bottle water to brush our teeth. Also shocked nobody mentioned the condition of the gravel driveway upon entering the campsites...my Subaru bottomed out because of how badly it was eroded. We did enjoy the nightly campfires, proximity to Walmart/Lowe's and the other adventures outside of camp. read more

Ok, guys! I've been wanting to rave about this place since the MOMENT I arrived to it this past Saturday! I've been looking forward to staying at @ashevilleglamping for #months and boy it DID NOT disappoint!!! It was perfect! It had the camping aspect my boyfriend wanted and it had the comforts of home I wanted! I mean, what tent do you know has an AC unit?? After a fun day of hiking/brewery tours, getting in the hot tub and gazing up at the stars was the perfect way to end the day! I cannot say enough about this place, I'm already planning my next trip and hoping to stay in the #megadome or the #treehouse Thank you so much Joanna and Patrick for all you do! 10/10!!! read more

We stayed in Dome 2 and had a FANTASTIC time. We have camped and stayed in unique Air BnB's, but nothing could compare to the experience we had at Asheville Glamping. It was awesome to wake up to the sunlight flowing in and a view of the mountains. We took our engagement pictures in the dome, and the natural light was perfect. I will add that we stayed in the middle of January with temperatures getting down to the low teens. We were able to use the heater inside the dome during the day, and the heated blanket kept us super toasty at night (to the point my fiance woke up in a puddle of sweat). Since the water was turned off for the winter there was a port-a-potty right outside the dome for our private use. It was very clean, and we had no complaints. We're already looking to book another stay at Asheville Glamping! We might try one of the tents next time. read more

I had been dreaming of staying in the Nest Treehouse @ashevilleglamping for several years after seeing it on Instagram and finally made that dream come true! It exceeded all my expectations! It was a peaceful and serene way to reconnect with myself, my partner, and nature. The treehouse was so comfy and cute just like the photos! My boyfriend and I visited in September of 2017 and stayed in the original dome as part of a 10 day road trip. We were a little nervous, as all of the other stops on our trip were in hotels and we're admittedly both quite the surbanites, but we were looking for an adventure and for a unique experience we could share together and remember for a lifetime. Asheville Glamping fit that bill perfectly! We felt very prepared going into the dome, thanks to the extremely detailed descriptions on their website, as well as a guide they provide after booking. We knew exactly what would be available to us as far as heating/cooling, refrigeration, food preparation, showers, etc. They also offer detailed directions and parking instructions. They even provided a local guide for restaurants and things to do. Our 2 night stay was phenomenal. Yes, there are bugs. Yes, we even found a frog in our dome. Yes, the bed is on the floor. But it was all part of the adventure for us and not anything we didn't really expect. The view from the dome is incredible, over rolling mountainsides and the horizon. Outside of the dome, and down to the firepit area, you can see the other campsites, as well. But perhaps the most amazing part for us was how truly quiet and dark it was. We live in the suburbs and had never experienced a sky that dark or a better view of the stars. We stayed 2 days mid-week and were the only glampers at this particular site one night and could literally hear a pin drop. It felt so nice to really get away from everything. This stay not only was beautiful and unique-- but we bonded over this slightly out of our comfort zone trip. We still joke about our tried attempt to cook our dinner over the fire instead of the grill (and the 9:45 mad dash to arby's to eat something when we realized we failed and had safely let our fire completely burn out.) We laugh about our freezing cold run from the shower to the dome in the early morning one day of our stay. We talk about what we call "the best nap ever" one day we felt lazy and napped for something like 3 hours on our dome bed. I tease him over me having to catch the frog in our dome, because he was a scaredy cat. We really can't put into words how great this trip was for us. It was beautiful, relaxing, and was one of those rare trips that I actually felt like grew us as individuals and as a couple and left me feeling completely refreshed. read more

For years my mom and I have been talking about taking a Glamping trip. We've looked at pictures of the dome and discussed one day going. Well for Mother's Day I surprised my mom with a trip there that night! She was stunned - and so excited! When we arrived we saw the dome all lit up in the distance. The accommodations were great. There was a big comfortable bed, a mini fridge, heat and a/c, lots of plugs, etc. There was also a toilet that flushed and a shower right outside the dome. They even left flowers on the table with a balloon that said "Happy Mother's Day." That was so unexpected and I thought it was the sweetest touch. We woke up that morning to the most incredible sunrise that we watched while still lying in bed. We were provided with all kinds of ideas of things to do during the day, and at night we made a fire and made hot dogs, corn, and s'mores. This was a trip that we'll never forget and I would highly recommend Asheville Glamping to friends and family. read more

Asheville Glamping was everything we hoped it would be!!! We stayed in DOME 5. It was UNIQUE, cozy, clean and perfect for bonding for whomever you decide to go with. My 10 year old and I went and LOVED it!!!! Owners have it decorated with the cutest decor, its close to food, coffee, shopping, basically everything you need. We stayed for 2 nights and had the best time. Joanna answered all my calls personally and was the kindest host. She personally dropped off our wine, (and came back and brought me a wine cork) and even at the last minute she took our family photos (they are stunning). Cant recommend this place enough! Nothing is perfect but this came pretty close to it, will be back for sure. read more

Y'all!! I stumbled across Asheville Glamping two years ago. I have raved about it for two years without ever having visited. So, when my boyfriend booked the trip, the countdown was ON!!!!! Leading up to the day we were leaving (at 3AM!) I started to get a little nervous. When your expectations are HIGH it is a big likelihood you'll be let down. Note, I do not have high expectations often. Asheville Glamping did not let me down!!!!!! Guys, READ the FAQs. My expectations were HIGH in the sense that the grounds and the yurt would be beautiful. I had ZERO expectations that there'd be no bugs because it's nature. There are bugs. I had ZERO expectations that our yurt wouldn't be a little warm and muggy because it's September in the south. There will be bugs. It will be conditioned to the weather. You will love it. We arrived in Asheville at 9:30am and of course had to do a hike. Followed up with BBQ at 12 Bones (GO!) and some beers at Wedge and Burial. I just kept thinking, it'll be amazing, it has to be amazing. The mini yurt was everything and more I wished it to be. Pulling up the gravel road I couldn't help my excitement. Pulled in. Unzipped our little yurt. And voila, gorgeous bed. Perfect rugs on the floor. And a mini fridge for our delicious beers. We showered in the outdoor shower and I'm thinking about having one installed at home. Freshened up and headed to downtown Asheville. The ONLY challenge was lighting the fire. Pop up thunderstorms had ensured lighting a fire would be impossible our first night. Saturday we picked up some lighter fluid and starter sticks and had a nice fire later in the night. Warning - Uber is somewhat dependable. We ended up getting a pretty incompetent person who couldn't find us to pick us up even though we were standing at the road and he passed right by us. Apparently, turning your car around is impossible. Of course, this was the night we had dinner reservations. We ended up having to drive to the city and taking it easy before driving home. Very expensive for what you get. $2100 for 3 nights of really pretty basic "glamping". We have had such an amazing glamping experience in Utah at Conestoga Ranch and it was soooo much less expensive. I really wish the owners would visit Conestoga Ranch to see what Asheville Glamping could be. We stayed in a Dome with a slide. The kiddos loved the slide and the view from inside the dome was pretty cool...greenery, not really mountains,. They were really able to capture this with their photos. The beds were comfortable. They also had 2 sleeper sofas that were terrible. They really looked salvaged, mismatched cheap covers, which would be fine at a lower price point. But the kicker was they were so uncomfortable pulled out. The feet were elevated about a foot above the head, so you sleep at a slant. For the price we paid for the one weekend, I would recommend they hop on Facebook marketplace and upgrade those puppies. We were first surprised that the Dome was supposed to have a bathroom. We drove up and it was a port-a-potty. I think it's important to set expectations for guests. I feel this was misrepresented. They should say "Dome has a port-a potty". It was hot inside the Dome but I don't think there is much they can do about that. It's that typical "hot in the tent when camping" in the summer thing. They also mentioned to expect bugs in the tent. So when we go in there are lots of large ants over the floor, some random flying insects, and I woke up with a giant daddy long legs next to me on the bed. I feel like this is somewhat reasonable with their description. What did not seem acceptable were the ticks lining the doorway. We killed at least 10 inside the doorway. The port-a-potty was also crawling with them: the walls, the seat. Anytime we tried to sit by the fire, we had ticks on us. If we left our chairs out, they would be covered with ticks when we came back. Daddy long legs are one thing, lime disease is another. I understand they cannot control the outdoors but they can attempt to keep ticks out of the port-a potty and inside the tent and reduce numbers in the general area. I'm sure they want to be environmentally friendly, but there are natural pesticides they can spray to try to alleviate this. At least warn people, the area is infested with ticks. "Stay at your own risk" and offer doxycycline at check out. Just kidding about the doxycycline. To boot, there was poison ivy lining our little path to the campfire. One person in our group is highly allergic, so this was daunting. Again, at these prices, you can hire people to spray and pull out poison ivy in the small site/along the path from the dome to the fire. Our group is originally from Colorado and know camping so we aren't dainty. Maybe it was just our site? We feel a bit robbed and left a day early.
