He performed the requested maintenance service on the furnace, water heater, refrigerator, and AC unit. He visually checked the condition of our RV roof and got everything ready for the upcoming RV-ing season. He also found a switch that had an intermittent fault and replaced it. He was on time, very thorough in completing our requested services, while taking ample time to make sure everything was completed as required to get the job done right the first time. We had a travel trailer with us as well as our dog. Not one shop would touch our truck. Every shop said since our F350 was deleted( had the EGR removed) they could not and would not even talk to us. So basically we were out of Luck. I took a chance on calling Ben's thinking maybe they could at least come and do a diagnostic on the truck so we had some kind of an idea. this fucker wanted to charge us 450.00 just to hook up a computer to our truck. We were really stuck so said what the hell. They sent a very inexperienced mechanic out to us who looked like he was living out of the truck he works from. That should have been a huge red flag for us. He never even looked at the truck just hoked up his laptop and at one point could not even figure out how to read the codes. When all was said and done the guy said he would only charge us 260.00 for the call out and hi labor which he did nothing. He did start up the truck and that was it. This business is owned by a pure opportunist that takes advantage of people that are broke down and in need of real help. We finally had the truck towed to a great shop in Fruitland Idaho to a very well run friendly and very experienced shop. I told hi our story and he said that this Ben has been run out of many different towns for scamming people. The entire town of Ontario as far as mechanics go is not a place you want to get stuck, they are rude, they run down your trucks. Even the Ford Dealership would not even talk to us about a truck that their company once made. So long story short, the truck is still in Idaho, not sure what is going on with it yet as the shop is pretty backed up. Stay away from Ben's truck repair and any shop in Ontario Oregon. We were very blessed that we had some great friends in Emmet Idaho that cam to our rescue and towed our travel trailer to their home and gave a us a very nice place to stay and fed us and for that we are both very thankful. Thank you Gary and Daria for being there when we needed friends the most.

I made an appointment, they got me an immediately, and they worked with me with some things I wanted to try to repair before I had to spend several hundred dollars on another repair. They were very nice, very accommodating, and just overall good people. They started their business about a year ago, and they're so busy right now it takes several days to get in. Before I brought it in there I had narrowed the problem down to two things. I took him for a drive in the car showing him what was going on. I told him what I thought it was. I told him to please call and let me know how much I was looking at for cost before he did anything to it. Later that evening, Claire calls me and tells me what the problem was (exactly what I thought it was). He told me it would be 150 dollars to fix my car. I asked him if that was parts and labor out the door. He said yes. I asked my wife and she said to go ahead. The next day, I receive a call that my car was done and ready to pick up. I asked if it was still 150 dollars. The lady told me it was $390 dollars. WHAT?!?! I tried to get him to lower the price because he had told me that it was going to be 150, but he wouldn't budge. The really bad thing about all of this is that I could have literally done this myself for 50 dollars. I will never take my vehicle to this place and I would recommend that you don't either. He will tell you that it will cost a certain amount and then charge 260 percent of what he quoted you!!!!

I called Modern Auto Service and Kevin (who comely and confidently said he would take care of my daughter) sent a tow truck, had a loaner car ready for her and was prepared to work on her car first thing the next morning get her on her way. The tow truck was very quick and she arrived at their shop 30 minutes after closing. One of their mechanics stayed late, found the problem quickly (spark plug wire was loose) and sent her on her way with no charge other than the tow. They went through the effort to make their product so well-certified on multiple fronts as to enable the consumer to have as much ease in obtaining financing as possible. So I was rather excited when the opportunity came up last week to be in the Caldwell, Idaho area. (In fact, it was just down the road from Ambassador RV, where we were camping). The kids and I just popped in on the business one morning, quite unannounced. I guess you're supposed to make an appointment. Oops. But you wouldn't have known that we screwed up. We were treated with a warm and very frank welcome from Anca. I appreciated how she wasn't afraid at all to discuss all the pro's and cons of tiny house living. I was especially glad that we got to tour the tiny home model that we were most interested in. That was followed by a sit-down chat in Anca's office to discuss financing options. Though we aren't able to swing it financially right now, I had such a positive experience actually SEEING the location and the product IN PERSON that I won't be forgetting either any time soon. Hope we can work with Tiny Idahomes in the next year or two on a custom setup for our daughter and/or maybe even ourselves.

I went down to the local Auto Zone and bought a brand new one for $27. I could have gotten a used windshield here one time for about $60 less than a new one cost. It had some scratches, so I went with the new one. Sometimes you can find a good set of used tires or snow tires here. Not my first choice, as it's hit-&-miss here, but can be a good backup if you're looking for just the right part.
