Ron Hoover RV/Marine is what a RV Dealer should be. I just bought a Rockwood Mini Lite from them and am very pleased with the deal I got but the customer service is beyond anything I've ever experienced at a RV dealership. My wife and I stopped in to take a look at Travel Trailer's and being experienced RVers knew exactly what we were looking for. We told Josh Piercy what we were looking for and he singled out three trailers to show us. All 3 fit exactly what we had in mind. Josh was really laid back and there absolutely no pressure on us. We left the dealership that day undecided about which trailer or whether we wanted another one at all. This Rockwood is a very well built trailer and Ron Hoover understands what makes it takes to have a safe and enjoyable camping experience. First time buying an RV and I wanna say I parked and was instantly greeted by Gabby. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. She showed us plenty of different models and sizes that we were interested in. She truly took her time explaining the differences and what we liked and don't like. This is now Ron Hoover and there sales department was wonderful. Service department on the other hand is beyond horrible. First time for warranty work took almost three months after my appointment. Second one was weather stripping took almost a month got it back and looked like a drunk handy man special. Took it back for more weather stripping they refused to fix the garbage job and said it was an RV what did I expect. I was told a supervisor/manager would call about this issue and yet to receive a call. The quality of work is not at a dealership level. They charge around $160 per hour but the quality is maybe a case of beer per job. read more

This is now Ron Hoover RV & Marine Georgetown. WORST RV service I have ever encountered in any industry. Took 8 weeks for Kade in service to get back to me, except his communication was so inconsistent, I had to call Bubba service manager, who lacked total follow thru, so left message with Location manager. Who got me to Parts. Susan at Parts was fantastic, but then the story goes bad again. Called to get RV in for scheduling and Quentin says he can get it in in 2 weeks for diagnosis only. Timing doesn't work for us because we are are going on a trip the day after the appointment, the items shouldn't impact our trip. Stopped in on 7/8 to get our rig scheduled after we get back from our trip. Quentin in service now says first part of September. When I reminded him that just last week he said 7/17, he relooked and said 8/14. When I asked him what was the likelihood of the rig being seen that week is, he said 10%!!! He is only scheduling 2 rigs a week due to work back log. When I bought the rig from Ron Hoover at the Houston RV show, the mantra was we separate ourselves on service . . . I didn't really believe it since I have been in customer service for over 40 years. And I shouldn't have . . . this is lousy. Now I am working with the manufacturer to help Ron Hoover RV & Marine to get their act together. Hopefully they have some leverage! If I could leave zero stars I would. Worst service department ever! They have had my brand new rig for almost 6 weeks and have been promised it would be ready and guess what it's not! Do yourself a favor do not take it to them to get fixed. All you're going to get is excuse after excuse after excuse as to why it's not ready. We are moving and now have to again wait on them. What was the point in leaving it for almost 6 weeks ahead of schedule !! They already had the parts as the Ron Hoover in Katy sent them to them! So it's not that they were waiting on parts! Beware of there "very strict policies ". I picked up a new fresh water pump for my rv. Turned out my pump was fine and never opened the new one. Roger Hoover would not take it back because of their strict policy of no returns on electrical parts. Would have thought this was plumbing... Business warning! I will not sugarcoat my experience with RV outlet Mall and Ken the parts manager, Bubba Ettinger, Service Manager, owner Deborah Pennington. I Purchased about $5000 from the sales person and their sales parts department for a specific van build, I ask for assistance on the best refrigerator to install in a van it was sold a absorbent refrigerator which has propane 120 electric, and supposed to have 12 V for automobile. I Purchased this things and receive them did not install the refrigerator until the end of the completion of the interior almost 6 months out seven months out. Found out that refrigerator put up 120° heat. That is not the refrigerator for a van. This is a refrigerator for commercial RV that has a huge amount of space. I needed a compressor unit 12 V by the medic, they do not put out heat, and runoff 12 Volt?. I brought the original Absorbent refrigerator back to speak with Kim and Bubba about the complications they assured me it was just ventilation, Trying to hard sell me that I just didn't do the installation correct. Their salesman sold me the wrong type of unit. Since I was already committed I told him I would do whatever is necessary to change the year for the proper unit they charged me 40% return fee. On a brand new unit it was never used all they had to do is exchange it out. I also speak asked To speak with the owner, they would never give me her information. These people are not credible, they're not knowledgeable, they don't care about your build, or customer service. I would not recommend these people. Unacceptable customer service in 2021! They still have not fixed the problem..... they DO have a good selection but it's not worth the trouble. If you are looking for a RV and GREAT customer service look no longer... My husband and I had been looking for a RV for several months we looked at other RV Dealers near by (CREST VIEW) we left there very disappointed due to the fact they did not have any available to purchase and the wait was several weeks to order one. We were told by CRESTVIEW all other RV dealers around were in the same boat. Two stars because I like my Travel Trailer. New purchase orientation was half A$$ at best, spent about 10 min. knowing I had never owned a TT before. Service dept messed up lighting on trailer, and won't fix after 90 days. Sad but, have to get repairs done elsewhere now. If I have any work done, there is no assurance they won't damage something else and leave me responsible to correct their mistake if I don't catch it quick enough. It felt like we were run off for not wanting to buy immediately. Got tag teamed! It was obvious! Was wanting to look around and get ideas to narrow down what we wanted, to see what's available. No other customers were there that we could tell and sales folks sitting around like vultures waiting for road kill. We intend on buying a high end rv, but can say honestly it won't be from here. It felt like we're being escorted off property. Folks, there are lots of great places to visit and purchase rvs from at great prices. I live in EL Paso and every time i am in central Texas Georgetown i go there for everything i need for my travel trailer when camped out in the area. They always have what i need at good prices unlike Crest View who are arrogant and act like they are doing you a favor when you ask for service. My experience at the RV Outlet Mall was fantastic! They took the time and had a ton of patience with me and my family in our recreational vehicle buying experience. I have had my RV serviced here a couple times and have also had them install a replacement air conditioner on a commercial vehicle. I spent a week working on a deal and approval for financing. The closing was set for at 1p. We also were having a hitch installed on our truck. So, we brought the truck in at 9a as recommended, and came back at 1p to close and do our training. At 1:45p, we were told it would be at least another hour. Needless to say, we left. Less than 30 minutes later we got a call and said the truck was ready and we could pick it up. I asked if we could do the training and the SALES MANAGER said he didn't want to sell us a trailer because he could never make us happy. With that said, we will be happy to find a new trailer, elsewhere. read more

When I went there to purchase an RV, I had no complaints. They just didnt have what I need. A saleswoman left me a voicemail message stating that she had some units but I may need to compromise and give up some of what I want. Not just a little but small piles. Other items were also not clean. I then tried to purchase one of their new RVs but the sales lady was rude and tried intimidating me. My husband and I enjoy going to RV sales lots once in a while to wander through and look at the different styles. We are definitely going to be purchasing in the not so distant future, but will certainly not be giving RV Outlet Mall our business. We came here one weekend, and were greeted as we got out of our car. We told the salesman that we wanted just to browse around on our own, and he remarked that no one ever wants to do that. He seemed annoyed as he drove away on his little golf cart. He approached us again a couple minutes later and said his boss said he had to stay with us, since there were unlocked trailers that weren't for sale. Shouldn't you just lock them if you don't want people to go in? We should have just left then, but we really still wanted to look. Throughout our very short time there, the salesman complained of his pay scale, and his responsibilities at both work and home. He also made sure to stay very close to us to let us know we weren't trusted. If they don't trust customers to walk through, it may be a good idea to set up a few security cameras. I know we aren't your typical older retired customers, but we can afford the camper trailer we want. When we're ready to buy, we'll likely take our business to the smaller, friendlier lot across the freeway. read more

I have been dealing with the service department since March 2017. The awning blew off my trailer purchased at RV Outlet Mall. This is the 2nd time! Trailer is a 2015 Whitewater Retro. Took them 4 months to fix it the first time (problems with freight company...) and I have now moved to Colorado. Pikes Peak RV is happy to fix it, but the awning keeps getting 'damaged in shipment' to Georgetown. They say they have to receive it there, then ship it to Colorado. SINCE MARCH! read more

We had an OK (not perfect, but OK) experience with the sales department, but when we called today with a simple service question, they were pretty rude. We just needed to know the exact model of our RV and figure out what parts we need to fix the toilet, which is leaking. We figured this would be pretty easy to figure out, but their answer was "I don't know! It's your toilet!". Wow- so helpful. Even if the answer is "I don't know", a decent person can be polite about it and suggest where you might look. And in the end, it took literally 3 minutes talking to the manufacturer to get the info we needed, so it really can't have been that ridiculous of a request. So buy here if you must, but be warned that after the fact, they'd rather you just f*** off. read more

DONT DO IT! I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM HEREE! Why? They sold me a 2020 Travel Lite Evoke L. That is suppose to be brand new right? Wrong! The AC unit in my room is from 2015. The whole under belly is filled with grey/ black water. I don't know what they did wrong but everything leaks, where places I can't get to. There's probably blacK mold, the a//c units smell smell like mildew. The fridges motor sounds like a motorcycle. I had to fix the furnace and I to foam the air ducks cause they didn't seal it off. Just blowing air into my walls. DONT BUY! read more

We recently purchased a 2015 Columbus and are having some warranty problems. Since we didn't purchase locally, we looked for someone who could service our rig. The call to RV Outlet mall was handled by a rude, unhelpful woman in the service department. She couldn't even tell us whether the problems were covered under warranty.Said that her techs would have to take the rig apart, call the manufacturer and then she could let us know if the issues are covered under warranty. (I call BS - these are both simple, common problems and the manufacturer had already stated that both should be covered by warranty.) She advised us that she is currently scheduling for 2 months out and wasn't sure if they could get it in even THEN. She was abrupt and abrasive. Caveat emptor. read more

Very disappointing used car lot tactics. I felt like we were tag teamed so many times I hardly knew who to deal with. When we started shopping several months ago we made it very clear that we were just looking trying to decide on our options and didn't want to bother anyone until we had decided to move forward, but they insisted on trying to close a deal that very day, later when we had made our decision to buy we were treated with disdain because we had the nerve to ask for their best price, and I quote "you looked at this exact same model last year, I suggest you buy it elsewhere" well we did and at a 30% savings with great customer service. read more

Please look over my review of Crestview RV in Georgetown so that you know what my local RV shop experience has been like. After a two year hiatus, the family has decided to get back into over the road travel. Thinking maybe Crestview had taken some opportunity to improve over the past few years, we stopped in to see what they had. We went inside, and they said, "we will be right with you" and then talked among themselves until we got fed up and left again. So, we went to RV Outlet Mall. We told the salesman about our consistently poor experiences at Crestview, and he replied, "the best part of my job is when I get to take customers away from Crestview." The salesman spent hours with us (our choice), while we went unit by unit through their inventory. He listened to our likes and dislikes, and ultimately said, "I think I know what you are looking for." It was a much older model than what we thought we wanted, but it only had 30K miles on it, and it was immaculate. He was able to show me every service record, and it had been serviced after every trip. It looked like a brand new rig except for some fading of the pin stripes. We went through it and decided this is the unit we want. We negotiated a price and shook on it. He asked if he could have a day or two before we took delivery so that he could go through it thoroughly, and we said yes. A few days later, we went in to take delivery at the scheduled time. The apologized to us and said the rig was not quite ready, as they had found a couple of things that needed to be addressed before he would feel good about turning it over to us. The ice maker wasn't working and the gas regulator on the stove had seized. He had already ordered parts, at their expense, but it the parts weren't going to come in until the next day. We were shocked that AFTER a deal had been reached, including price, that they were making repairs to the unit at their expense. Even more shocking is that this was a consignment deal, so it wasn't even their rig. But he said, "there is nothing worse than going out on your first trip and having a bunch of problems." We asked him if they would mind, at our expense, doing an oil change, radiator flush, brake fluid exchange, etc. since they would have it a couple more days anyway. He indicated that his shop works on the coach (the house parts), and that they use Mac Haik for the chassis (truck parts). Therefore, that kind of stuff we would have to have done after we take delivery. Three days later, we went in to pick it up, because the parts they had ordered had come in, and they had installed them. They went through the entire vehicle with me and showed me that every thing is working perfectly. Then they surprised me by saying that they had taken it to Mac Haik for me and had the tune up and fluid change done because they knew I wanted it. I did pay for that, of course. However, there was nearly $2K worth of work that they did to the coach that they absorbed all of the costs for. Since we had already had a deal and a price, and the vehicle is old enough that we didn't expect any kind of warranty, they really didn't have to do any of it. We were truly amazed. Whenever I have a choice, this is where I will take my coach. They have earned my loyalty with strong customer service and a commitment to ensuring that I have a great over the road travel experience. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY EDWARD. My husband and I are upgrading our main RV, and possibly our 2nd one, within the next year and had a few we excitedly wanted to look at. As soon as he found out it wasn't THAT day, he turned into the uninterested, couldn't be bothered snake that I'm sure he is. He was rude, condescending, arrogant and kept rolling his eyes when we would ask about another model to look at. He made us walk to the end of the lot while he rode the golf cart and sped off. We also caught him talking bad about us when he didn't realize we were there. As an owner of TWO new RVs that we WILL be upgrading soon and having family that are looking to purchase, we will NEVER go back there to buy. Edward single handedly lost, at a minimum, 3 sales for this lot. We will go anywhere to get our homes in the future and the sales person will ALWAYS make the difference.
