We had rented a class A RV with 2 bathrooms (fleetwood Flair) from them in Dec 2021. IT HAD BIG ISSUES and we had troubles and problem with it throughout the trip. TOILETs OVERFLOWED leading to sewage spills in the Bathroom floors. It was the worst nightmare. We had to shut off water mains and pumps too, to stop it. Due to which we had no water at all to use at any of the taps. This RV was the worst of all the RVs we have rented so far. On top of it the OWNER WAS NOT HELPFUL and WE did not get any Roadside service or RV repair done to fix the issues. During the return, we found out that the owners had known about this issue and still rented it out without repair. Toilet and flush issues. Emergency exit window latch broken, hydraulic leveling jacks not working, The SLIDE OUT was also an issue it never really slides in completely and has to be pushed inside from outside of the vehicle. Just a very poorly maintained vehicle. Lastly, the owner agreed to provide us a compensation when confronted about so many issues with the RV. But till date (which is 2 months ) after the rental. NO PARTIAL REFUND or COMPENSATION provided just FAKE promises. Our RECOMMENDATION to future renters- avoid renting from RV RENT CALIFORNIA : RV are not maintained and customer support when you are on the road with their RV is non- existent ( you can text and call, leave voicemail and expect no response). And they have zero customer care and appreciation- they knew the RV had issues ( still rent it out) and when confronted - lied about compensating for the issues. We rented the Big Blue Turbo. We had so many issues, breaking down after just the second day on the way to the grand canyon. We were stuck in 108-degree weather for over 4.5 hours with three small dogs, my wife, and my son. We also had issues that I had to fix myself with water in the diesel fuel. We missed almost all of the spots we wanted to stop at and had to drive some 10 hour days. It was one of the worst experiences we had. The table in the center was broken and fell into my wife, bruising her leg. If there were smaller kids, they might have been in serious trouble of getting hurt. All of the drawers had to be duct-taped closed. We had to put a paper on a window because the shade was missing. The front windshield was cracked, the fender was missing as the last renters knocked it off. They tried to charge us for this. The door going into the bedroom was broken and could not be closed during travel. We had to Jam a rag in to keep the door from slamming open and closed. The refrigerator failed on the three days causing all of our food to be thrown out. The passenger-side mirror was taped and kept falling and going out of position, which was very dangerous. This RV should be taken off the road; it's unsafe in its current condition. I could go on and on. I did cause damage to the awning, and our insurance paid for it. I have tried emailing for weeks and have made four calls for weeks on end, and Meaghann and Failenn have not had the common courtesy of responding to us. Avoid the company like the plague. I held a contract with this company that started in May 2019 to rent out my RV through RVRent.net. The new owner was the GM when this company was named RVRent.net and is now the owner of RV Rent California which held the same original contract. She has been a part of this contract since the beginning and actually oversaw the details of my contract in June 2019. This is a complaint for overcharging my account multiple times, abusive damages to my RV and multiple breaches of contract. I signed a contract allowing RV Rent California / RVRent.net to rent my RV out and we would split the profit 50/50. It's far from 50/50 after the fees they take out. They also had agreed to provide all repairs. During the first 6 months a renter had broken my shower floor. RVRent.net neglected to tell me this and it wasn't until someone who viewed the RV as a potential buyer was I informed of the damages. RVRent.net downplayed the damage calling it a crack that they had repaired and the individual was overreacting and looking for a price reduction. The crack was actually the entire bottom corner of the shower that had broken out. Instead of replacing the floor they decided the hole only needed taped over it and then used caulk similar to a bandaid. I didn't see the extent of this damage until I finally took back my RV in December 2020. I had asked for photos on multiple occasions and those requests were ignored. RVRent.net / RV Rent California had completely disregarded this damage and act as if it's not their issue. Inside their contract they say they may profit by completing repairs for damage done by a third party but gave me no detail on what they did or didn't charge the renter who destroyed the shower floor. I have quotes between $1000-$2000 to properly repair this. The potential buyer also pointed out the carpet had been ruined and the cabinets were falling apart. I brought these concerns to RV Rent California / RVRent.net and again they take zero responsibility. The next issue arose with my mirrored doors in the bedroom. These $800 doors went missing completely, to my knowledge, in July 2020. I asked RV Rent California about this and they said that they should be there and would fix them right away and added that the doors were in their shop. 4 months go by reminding them multiple times to fix them and they never did. I sent RV Rent California / RVRent.net a 30 day repair list in August 2020, as the contract states I should, both by mail and email and reminders along the way as those 30 days passed with zero progress. The requests I made were completely ignored for months, even after they did acknowledge receiving this list. The damages are in excess of $4,000 and I have sent emails to settle and these were ignored as well. Although I have since sold doesn't mean the damages weren't there. As for the overcharges, I had my brake pads serviced. While it was at the brake shop they did service on my generator. I paid the brake company $125 separately for that service. 2 weeks later RVRent deducted $190 from my account for those generator services. Another instance was when they deducted $515 from my account for a wax service. I had never heard of nor asked for this. I finally took my RV back in December 2020. This only happened after I was required to sign a "mutual" release as my RV was being held unless I signed and I'd be charged for storage until I took my RV. They wouldn't allow me to take my RV unless their release form was signed. After seeing my 30 day repair list had been completely ignored, I asked them to pay for the damages, missing fuels, mirrored doors, shower floor and to refund the overcharges to my account. I sent multiple emails and followed the contract precisely along the way. RV Rent California / RVRent.net has completely disregarded my attempts to settle this. I am asking them to honor our contract, pay me in full for the damages to my RV and refunding the multiple overcharges made to my account. They have ignored my requests for arbitration. For now it's one or 2 stars. I am waiting for them to get back to me and make our situation right for an RV we rented from them over Thanksgiving week. I had a few problems with the RV Mike rented me. I brought back the RV and got my deposit back since I was not responsible for any of the problems we had. Just so everyone is clear, I have rented many RVs in my life and never had problems. I am a responsible family man and when I rent these things, I always act in a very responsible, thoughtful manner. These are big vehicles and they deserve all the attention you can give them. Some of the issues I have with this company and their product. 1. We agreed that I could pick up the RV on a Thursday before 1PM. That's what the order confirmation they sent me said. Which I did. I show up. RV not ready. They were expecting me on the day after, Friday. I had to wait for almost 3 hours before the RV was ready. They admitted that the hydraulic system to level the RV didn't work. I left with the RV anyway. I'm 60 minutes away from home and I need to get going. Not a good start. But I'm cool. 2. The ad they posted said that the RV was for 6 people. I have 5 passengers. The RV is packed, we get on the road. I assume there are more than enough seat belts. Not so. Only 4 seat belts. That's illegal in the state of California. I had to do the whole trip with an extra kid not wearing a seat belt. 3. Also I assume that because the ad says the RV is for 6 people, that we have enough sleeping space. But you know how it is, I'm driving. And focused on us having a good trip. Night comes, we stop. Get all the beds out. Only to realize that this thing also only sleeps 4 people!! We are 5! So we decide that my 10 year old son (the youngest kid with us) will sleep with me and my wife in the "larger" bed. Needless to say we didn't sleep for the whole trip! A 10 year boy squeezed in our bed with my wife and I is not conducive to good sleep and rest. 3. On day 2 of my trip, I get ready to pull in the slide outs to leave. One gets stuck out. It won't go back in. I call Severo (who was very helpful and doing his best to get me help) to let him know. It took more than 24 hours for help to come. I lost 2 days of driving which I had to make up in a very short period of time, adding stress and fatigue to our whole experience. 4. On day 3 we also realize that both sinks are leaking. We couldn't use the sinks or do the dishes for the whole trip. A lot of back and forth on campgrounds to wash dishes. When you camp it's fine. But not when you're paying to RV. 5. Because we were running late on our trip, we had to cancel a bunch of campsites we had reserved losing our money since we had to cancel last minute. 6. When I got back, I explained the situation. They offered me 165$ cash. I refused. I counter offered and they refused. I told Mike to get back to me with something. He promised he would. I am still waiting for an answer from them. All in all, my issue is that we payed for a premium experience and got a sub par product. I told Mike I was a good guy and that I would rent again from him if he made this right. He said he would. I sent an email last week as a follow up. Still haven't heard. When I do, I will keep everyone posted (and change my rating) depending on how helpful Mike is. Thank you. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is terrible, unprofessional, rude and down right pathetic. We rented an RV and paid the deposit for our family trip, leaving July 5, returning July 12. Jessica Adams (who claimed to be the manager) called my husband at 3:00pm on July 3 to tell us that the RV we reserved was broken down. Since the next day was July 4th, they only had an RV that slept 4 to replace it with. We have a family of 8, so that was not going to work. When I called to speak with Jessica, she was RUDE. When I told her that our family vacation was likely to be cancelled unless they could provide a suitable replacement, she said, "I don't know what to tell you. What do you expect? For ME to go out and fix the thing? I'm no mechanic!" I could not believe how she was speaking to me. After she began yelling at me, I asked to speak to someone else at the company. There was no one, she was the manager. So I simply asked that she refund our deposit immediately . She hung up. It's now August and our credit card has yet to be refunded. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't realize that my husband is general counsel of his company and I am also in the legal field, I've been in front of a judge more times than I can count and have a 100% win rate. It looks like a place of used tire car place you will find in Tijuana. Thats the reason why they dont have the actual picture in Yelp. I rented the biggest and best RV they have. Its my birthday July11. I booked a 2 bedroom suite in Vegas. My friends and I are heading there for a pool party. We are 4 couples. Means, we are not a bunch of teenagers. We just want a big RV to be comfy driving. No one sleeps or cook inside 10 minutes after we started driving from my house in San Diego, the generator shuts down and so is the AC. Again, we are going to Las Vegas. very hot temperature. That was July 10 when we started the drive. I called them and complained about it and was told, the generator tripped and have to pull over and flip the switch. We did but found out the generator wouldnt start. After looking at it, we found that the butterfly in the carburetor gets stuck once in a while and occasionally shows high oil temp. This is a 2010 RV There was nothing plugged inside the RV. I called them and basically, they cannot do anything about it as we are already on the road , by Murietta. We also found that the generator would run ONLY when we are stopped. So, the drive to Vegas took so long as we have to stopped a few times to cool off as that is the only time the generator would run continuously. If we drive , after a few mins, the gen would shut off. At first, we have a radio plugged in so we unplugged it but still the generator wouldnt start and if it does, after a few mins, it will shut down while driving So, my guests for my birthday trip felt so uncomfortable and made me embarrassed. HERE IS THE WORST PART. Since we have to stop multiple times to cool off, on the way back July 13, I arrived 6pm and they are closed as I call Mike, the owner. Supposedly return day is July 13 but due to the fact that we have to stop a few times because of the generator issue, they CHARGED ME A $223 LATE FEE!!! I was told before that when I return it that they will show me a place nearby to get gas and propane but when I arrived in the lot, I need gas, Mike turned me away saying I need to get gas. Mind you the lot is so freaking small and I have the 34ft RV inside the lot already and now I have to backed up.....they complained later it took me long to fill it out. DUH! also, the gas tank is freaking big and I have to swipe my credit card as gas authorization by default is $100 max ANOTHER WORST THING I showed Luis, his tech, the problem and he agrees when I showed it to him. Mike then said that he will let a shop check the generator and give me credit appropriately for my inconvenience. Same day as I was told that a WORTHLESS $100 STORE CREDIT is the only thing they can do for me. They said they checked the generator and it works fine. Well, try driving it longer like on the way to vegas. Like I said, the gen shuts down after a running the AC after a few minutes. ANOTHER ILLEGAL SCAM THEY DID WAS After the owner, Mike, inspected the RV for damages, he signed it off and said, I am good. Today, they just emailed me that one that one of the external luggage compartment door is jammed and cannot be opened. They have to "fix" iot and then now they are CHARGING ME A FEE to fix it AFTER I LEFT AND AFTER MIKE, THE OWNER SIGNED OFF ON THE INSPECTION. So, they are charging me to fix something not in front of me but the day after I left and after they signed off on the return... but then in the fine print, there is something that says I AM WAIVING MY RIGHTS FOR A 2 HOUR DETAILED INSPECTION. So that puts me and my money in jeopardy as they can come out with anything and charge me---AND THEY DID. They found something and now they are adding additional charge. This is not about money. I WILL GIVE ANYONE $50 if you rent from any other place. show me the receipt and I will give you $50. This is how much I HATE THIS place for the way they do business. As this company is listed twice on Yelp, I'm adding my review to this one too. We rented the Jamboree Searcher to take to the desert. The Office Manager, Roxanne, was very helpful and responsive. Mike, the Owner, gave us a quick walk-thru, which was commensurate with our experience with using an RV. I appreciated that they took many pictures of the RV and the instrument panels for the record. We also took pictures before we returned it (86 to be exact) in order to ensure that both parties were properly protected. The RV was clean and ran well. We did have an issue with the refrigerator. It didn't work, but we received a credit for our inconvenience without even asking for it. The other amenities worked just fine, and it drove well. We returned it clean and were not charged any additional fees upon return and the return process was quick and easy. We would definitely rent from RV Rent again. Renting an RV is definitely something that should be entered into cautiously if you don't have experience with these types of vehicles or if you are going into a harsh environment or have a ton of people staying in it. It worked well for our purposes. read more

This business deserves "0" stars. They will send you out in any rv on their lot, regardless of what you requested. They know renters have no option because plans were made in advance. After you return the rv they will accuse you of damaging the rv and charge your insurance for it. If you go their to see the damage the rv won't be there and say "it's being washed" or "being repaired". Most people give in. They have operated like this for a long time. Buyer beware. read more

I have rented from these guys many times in the past. I have never once had an issue. Unlike some of the previous posts I've never caused damage to one of their RV's. I've always had a very pleasant experience!!! They even went as far as to offer me a two hundred coupon because the fridge stopped working on an adventure I was on. I read a post about a guy having trouble with them not giving him an RV to replace one that was broken. Obviously circumstances can arise and situations can dictate that changes need made. Not all problems can be solved. I would recommend them to anybody and I have. Everybody I've sent there have had very pleasant experiences. It sounds to me people that have problems are quick to judge instead of looking at their own mistakes. The BBB gives them a B...not an F as one review quotes. These people are very easy to work with and provide great RV's. Give them a chance and you will be pleased!!!!! I know I will as I have many times in the past. I rented an RV from this location the beginning of May for a week. All through the process Roxanne was very helpful. When I went to pick up the RV the owner Mike did a walk through with me, explained everything, demonstrated various things inside the RV and I was off. During my trip I had one time where the AC stopped working because the breaker had tripped. I called the 800 number and they were helpful in helping me locate the breaker box to remedy the problem. A month after returning the RV I had an issue with my insurance that I had purchased from my carrier and Roxanne was very quick to offer help to remedy the problem that was on my end, not theirs. This is the third time I have rented an RV, first time from RV Rent and I will in the future be going back to RV Rent, their prices and selection were great and I am very happy with the service I received. read more

I also want to give them zero but can't. For a business that deals with people vacation they are terrible. I rented an RV 2 weeks before the time on a low season. When I got the RV they did inspection with me but when I hit the road I realized that the alignment is terrible and the generator is not working(!!). I called them but they could not come to serve me (I was 20 minutes driving away) so they had me come over and waste some more time. When they realized the generator is not working they offered me another shitty RV or upgrade and pay more money! Jessica and Mike (the owner) are the worst customer service I have ever faced. They did not care about my family vacation and Mike hang up on me, while Jessica did not want to listen to me, just told me to talk with Mike while he wasn't even there. We rented from them in June for a week to Kings Canyon. The RV was great but we already have been suspicious about the deposit and insurance paperwork and unprofessional behavior at the very first contact. On one of the campgrounds we couldn't avoid to touch a tree which left some marks on the side of the vehicle. Unfortunately I didn't buff them out myself expecting this to be no big deal. Sure enough RV Rent.Net created a big damage report and kept our Security Deposit of $1500. Very clever they placed the estimate just below $1000 which happens to be our deductible with the insurance. That way the insurance company is not eligible to handle this case. I also tried to get support from BBB but RV Rent.Net didn't even bother to answer their letters until after the requested time frame. That's when they started to lie about their communication and suddenly talked about deep scratches which had to be repaired. Initially the guy at RV Rent told me the marks probably just come off after cleaning the vehicle. They promised to call me right the next week. After 2 weeks without any calls I tried to get a hold of the owner who told me it will cost around $700-$800 and I will get back my rest of the deposit. I didn't get anything until July 18th when I delivered a letter requesting the money and a report. At the same day they credited $420 back to our credit card without any further notice. I sent another letter more than 2 weeks later to request those details again. On August 16th, 2012, we received a statement dated to June 29th, 2012 and some copy which seemed to be an estimate of repairs. There was no letter or written explanation included as requested. The "fake" estimate which not even showed a VIN number or date or signature calculated 8h of work at $110 hourly rate + $100 for material. What a joke especially when we tried to Go-ogle the address of the North County RV Repair which happens to be a home address with no relation to any business. You would think you could find something about the name of the owner, company or phone number but it's like he doesn't exist...what's probably true. We talked to a local repair shop currently working on some RV and they told us this would be a job less than $300. The statement shows the balance of $420 which we got refunded on July 18th, 2012 as a position due on June 11th, 2012 which is 2 days after our return. So RVRent.Net already knew 2 days after our return what the estimate will be but failed to communicate this for more than 2 month. The amount of $420 was not detailed or explained at all. So for us there was no way to understand how to do the math for this. This company doesn't know how to run their business but they know exactly how to trick you to get a lot of extra money. Lesson learned and not much we can do to stop this fraud. Just recently someone (???) tried to post 7 fake 5 star reviews but fortunately Yelp removed them. his is the worst company I have EVER delt with in my entire life. They will rip you off. DON'T RENT FROM THEM. Save yourself the headache. I recently rented an RV with a couple of friends to take a well deserved vacation to Nevada. Upon our return we were faced with a very negative situation with RV company. DO NOT rent from them. They make a majority of their money from YOUR deposit. When returned the RV they told us that the RV had many stains on the carpet, grass on the carpet (we were never in grass only dirt), and some knob missing form the generator we NEVER touched. They are also trying to charge us an extra day which we do not owe. Before we left we called Roxanne (office manager) to see if we could keep the RV until Tuesday because they were closed on Sunday and Monday due to the holiday. She said yes no problem and never mentioned there was an extra charge for that. She said she was 'confused' when we spoke to her about that and must've 'gotten us mixed up with someone else's RV'. And that's our fault?! We were in communication with Mike (the owner) as to when we were going to drop the RV off (left him a voicemail) and he still charged us for a day that he had to go down to see if the RV was there. Check your voice mail more often Mike. The first day of us driving the RV we had an emergency question and called the 'emergency' number several times and left messages with no response the whole time we were gone. Please don't rent from this company. They are criminals and will charge your for something that is not your fault and you did not even do. They should not be in business. Karma is a good thing, Mike. I ended up waiting on the side of the road and then traveling back to the lot for hours. Delayed my trip by a day. They had no replacement RV's so they ended up sending me on my trip with a faulty RV. When I asked for a little discount for the hassle and the loss of a full day the owner Mike Cobb was so rude and would not even entertain it. Zero Stars from me. We rented a motorhome from them for Thanksgiving week. We went to the desert dry camping. I told them in advance of the dry camping, no hookups. When I arrived on time to pick up the rental it wasn't ready. They were working on the generator and the rental hadn't been washed yet. Also the tailer hitch I had requested a week in advance wasn't available. I had to drive to Escondido and pick it up myself. Upon receiving the rental the generator was very hard to start. I called them and they said keep trying.......................... After the first night the batteries were dead. The generator was run all day, it would run intermittently, and never could charge the batteries. I had at least 15 phone call with them to try and solve the issue. I was coached on what to do by both the owner and the lot guy Bart. I finally got the batteries semi charged by running the motor in addition to the generator. The following day I was given the option of returning the rental, replacing the rental, or keeping it and being compensated for my problems. By then it was the day before Thanksgivng and thanks to friends we were camping with we made the rental work out. The inverter would't work, and the generator would only run for so long. Not giving us the comfort we had expected or paid for. I had talked to Bart, the lot guy, numerous times. He showed me how to operate all the functions and I asked all the questions I could. I talked to the owner Mike about my problems, he walked me through them. After returning the rental, I asked for some compensation for our troubles. After a week and a half and lot's of phone calls I received an email from Mike stating all the problems were operator error. How could it be operator error when Bart and the owner told me what and how to operate the rental. Also when I returned the rental Bart stated that my issues were just and he didn't understand the electrical issue either. Bottom line, they don't stand behind their word. Their communication is terrible. I will never do business with them and will pass on my experience with others. read more

So I've used this business for two separate rentals, and have had nothing but positive experiences. Here's the deal, if you're late returning, they charge you, if the rv isn't clean, they charge you, if the rv is damaged they charge you. They make this all very clear during your conversations with them and the contract you sign. Return the item you rent the same as you got it, and on time, and you should be fine. Don't even have the DECENCY to pick up the phone and call me!! Going to Stagecoach, which is one of the biggest RV rental weekends in Southern Cal (hence why I reserved mine so early!!). Then he has the AUDACITY to tell me that they can get me one, but it would cost more money!!!!!! So let me get this straight, I make a reservation, receive a confirmation, pay in full, then 3 days before I leave THEY cancel and they want ME to pay more for another coach!!!! Can you say "bait and switch"??? Now I am frantically looking for another RV at the very last minute, as we also have other couples who are coming with us. Oh and did I tell you that EVENTUALLY I will receive a refund?? So Im out the $1000 plus for now! All I could think of was the family who save up to take their kids on a vacation, and 3 days before, this happens, AND now their money is tied up so they can't even rebook. Well 14 "Single Stars" says it all and my single star will make it 15 ! I would give him "Zero Stars" if I could. He bilked my daughter out of an extra $1875.00 to get her, so called "consigned" RV back. He says he's selling them, but in reality he needs them for rentals, so selling them seems to be the furthest thing on his mind. I asked if he had a "Dealer" License for RV sales, he said no and that he's in the Rental Business ! (Loop-hole?) So, beware if you think this is a good avenue to sell your RV while making a few bucks off of it as a rental, DON'T DO THAT HERE !!..... He told me he's "been successfully in business for 25 years with many repeat customers". Funny, none of those repeat customers have felt compelled to write a positive review. Not ONE ! ! . . . In all of those 25 years . . . There are other choices in the area for selling or renting an RV. I strongly suggest you try checking them out and not waist you time and money here . . . . read more

ZERO STARS. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. My wife and I rented and RV, first off it was not ready and delayed us by a day...no big deal, we dealt with it. When we brought the RV back there were some scuffs on it, and we were more than ready to pay for the damage. We had put 1500 down for a deductible damage fee. We brought the vehicle back on 10 July. We still have not been given a damage report . I called multiple times and left numerous voicemails over the past month, my wife has as well. They never returned calls and always gave the excuse that "accounting was not in." I left for a deployment, now my wife is taking care of it. She made a complaint on BBB, and they replied with a straight up lie, saying they have been emailing and calling her but she won't reply. Which is a lie. She has been calling them and they never return her calls. The worst part about the whole thing is that they straight up lied in the reply to BBB. Very dishonest people. All we want is the damage estimate so we know how much we owe them, $1500 isn't petty change, and they should have quicker service with their damage assessors. You can't just hold peoples money indefinitely. They have a 15 day funds release, well its been over 30 days and they can't even tell me how much I owe them. And I know its simple. They keep renting the RV out so its not here for an assessment. I get that its RV season, but they need to find a more efficient way of handling peoples deposits and damage thereafter. Just tell me what I owe you, I'll pay it, and we can be done. They keep justifying themselves, but on Yelp and the BBB, there are many complaints about the same dishonest service. read more

Terrible. I concur 100% with the other one star reviews. Would give them "0" stars if I could. 1. The generator on the RV I rented did not work. They managed to get it to run for a few seconds before I left and id did not work after that. When I called RVRent about the problem I was told that I was welcome to go get it fixed myself. Electing not to spend my vacation driving around trying to get the generator fixed, I made do. I am a nice guy....too nice sometimes.....so I didnt make a big deal about the non-working generator at the time.....but here is where the real scam comes in: 2. Several days after I returned the RV I got an email saying they wanted $1,700 in damages for a quarter-size hole in the shower liner. This is after I did a complete and satisfactory walk through with thier staff after returning the RV !!!!. The $1,700 they wanted included appraisal fees, transport fees!!, admin fees and all sorts of nonsense. As mentioned before they were completely unreasonable about how or who would do the repairs. 3. I expect we will be fighting this out in small claims court. Do yourself a favor and go to a professional outfit. These guys are not your freind. They dont give two cents about your business and they are looking to gouge you HARD. STAY AWAY!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. read more

Incredibly bad experience as they didn't check the converter on the RV so we drained the battery in 2 days at our site with full hookups. The slide out was stuck and they didn't answer their 24 hour emergency number until many hours later. Had to cut the trip short as a result and stayed in a hotel on the way home. We asked them to cover at least the hotel room and the male owner yelled at us in the lobby calling us "liars" and that "we all know there was no hotel rooom...." We produced a receipt after being humiliated in the office. We took the issue to his wife and she was much friendlier but we will NEVER go back there again. Several of my clients knew I was taking this trip and wanted to know if I would refer these people to them. I have told over 30 people NO. NEVER again will I use them. read more

0 stars- this placed is rated F by the Better Business Bureau. You gotta watch it with them, they don't do any maintainance on their RV's and neither care about their customers. Do not rent from them, we learnt the hard way after risking of lives driving their RV. We run out of breaks on the 2nd day of our trip, they asked us to take it to a shop, we did and we lost 3 of our prepaid days, we had to rent a car and stay in a hotel, they made false promises and stated that they would reimburse us for the days lost, however, they neglect it our calls and have not reimbursed us. The shop manager Hugo acts nice and seemed like they would take care of everything but when we returned from our trip, they gave us the run around and did nothing about all the problems we run into, not to mention the black water tank had not been emptyed completely and it stunk as soon as we drove off the lot, DVD player didn't work, refrigerators didn't work, slider didn't open, auxiliary batteries were empty, so no power without the generator running, etc. When we tried to approach the owners Patty and Michael Cobb to claim what happened, they didn't want to listen. They truly don't care of their customers when problems arise. I wish I had checked them out prior to renting from them. read more

We honestly had zero problems renting here and my daughter got the great RV trip that she had asked for her birthday. I had already given the security deposit before I had read the yelp reviews. I seriously considered just losing the deposit and going with another company based on the yelp reviews but didn't want to drive to santee/el cajon. I emailed Ana in the front office letting her know my concerns. The owner responded explaining his take on the reviews, how problems had been remedied,etc. I was still hesitant but we were to rent their really nice 2016 leisure travel RV on a sprinter base so I took the risk of renting here. Paperwork/rental agreement was pretty standard. I did talk to the owner of KT adventure and their contracts seemed pretty in line with RV Rent.net's contract. Getting the binder from my insurance company (aaa) was way easier than I thought and cost nothing. Pick up was simple and Luis was patient explaining all the gadgets to us and Ana was patient explaining all the paperwork we were signing. RV was clean and really, really nice! It only had 3500 miles on it. We had a wonderful trip with zero RV issues. I did spend about 3 hours cleaning it to return it in the same condition I had received it. I knew we went over the miles and were charged exactly what was stated in the contract within 2 days of returning the RV. We were never charged a security deposit on our credit card. I would rent here again and told my neighbors who admired that new RV in our driveway where they could rent it and warned them not to be dissuaded by the bad reviews on yelp. I usually do not review anything on yelp, but felt these guys deserve a second look by others because we had a great experience with them. read more

I called RVrent.net 2 days before my trip to find a motorhome because the one I had initially booked through another company had broken down. Now I was very skeptical because I read all of the Yelp reviews but at that point I had no other choice. RVrent.net had a motorhome that was perfect for what we needed (The Super C) and it worked for our road trip with no issues. We had no issues with the deposit like many of the people have posted about on here. I made sure to note all of the cosmetic flaws beforehand and then followed the instructions that they give - to return with a full tank of gas and propane and the inside clean (pretty simple). My guess is that the people who had money taken out of their deposit had returned the motorhome trashed. All in all, good experience. read more

We have rented here in the past and just returned an RV from this past weekend. Roxanne and the crew are all very professional and great to deal with! The process was very easy, both paperwork and pick up. The RV was super clean and worked perfectly. The return was simple and easy. I would highly recommend this place to rent an RV. Reserved an RV with this company through Outdoorsy which was approved and accepted. I contacted Meaghann with some questions and got no reply for over 2 days. Meanwhile I already booked RV sites that had cancellation policies but wasnt concerned because I already had a booked RV with RV Rent. Finally after calling Meaghann over 10 times she finally answered the phone and told me that she needed to cancel the reservation because they had a 7 day minimum even though my reservation had been accepted over 2 days earlier for a 5 day rental. She gave me all these excuses and blamed "Outdoorsy" for accepting my booking, was not willing to make an exception and keep the reservation because my reservation had already been confirmed. She blamed Outdoorsy and had little empathy for me now needing to cancel my RV site locations because she was not canceling my reservation. Really?! She was extremely rude and unyielding about it not being her fault...blah blah blah. read more

I rented from this guy 6 years ago but just set up a YELP account. This sticks out as the worst experience I have ever had with a company. Its a long story but this guy basically stole $600 from us. I reported them to the state and the BBB but did not get much restitution. If you need to find the owner walk next door to the bar he's the one that is hammered. read more

First off, I was skeptical about using RV Rent for our family vacation after reviewing the previous Yelp comments. But I went forward with renting a 32ft RV from RV Rent. We were very pleased with the process and the personnel working at the facility. They were superb. The process was easy and the RV was excellent with everything in perfectly and flawlessly. We had no problems. Roxanne (The Coordinator) was brilliant in helping us plan our trip. She is truly a professional and very nice to speak with about the company. Luis (The RV Technician) provided us the necessary skills on operating the RV. His in depth knowledge enabled a smooth transition. The return process was extremely efficient and took less than 20 minutes. I recommend fellow RV renters give RV Rent a try to win your business. While I was there I spoke with another RV'er and he said he has rented from RV Rent numerous times and has been completely satisfied. Have safe travels. read more

I spent $1400 to rent a luxury motor coach for 3 days. I paid extra to have RV delivered and picked up from my campsite. RV arrived 3 hours late to the campground leaving us sitting around in the heat waiting for it. Refiregerator was not pre chilled as requested and after 12 hours failed to get cold. Had to keep food in cooler all weekend with multiple trips for new ice. I called to complain about late delivery and refrigerator not working. RV was not new and had seen plenty of use. Carpet was worn and soiled. RV was left at campsite as clean as it was when it was delivered. A week later I recieved a bill for an additional $285 cleaning fee. Luckily I paid for the rental by check and RV Rent.net could not charge me this frivelous charge to a card on file. I ignored them hoping the charge was a standard fishing tactic they use on all customers who may be naive enought to pay it. 6 months later the $285 was sent to collections and my credit report. I hired an attorney and filed a small claims matter in the superior court to clear my credit and prove to RV Rent.Net that there "Cleaning charges" are exactly how a business should not conduct itself and consumers should resist any such activity. read more

Zero Stars from us. These guys are con artists and cannot be trusted. We rented a 22' then were upgraded to a 29' after they double booked us on the first unit. After a cursory walk through I accepted the vehicle. On the way to the desert the right hand mirror folded completely back against the side window. A cabinet door fell off as we drove into our campsite. I found a wrench and tightened the mirror. I scrounged up some screws and reinstalled the cabinet door. Later the bathroom door became locked shut with no one inside because a door handle was installed correctly. I had to dismantle the door handle then rebuild it so we could access the bathroom. On our return we stopped for gas and unfortunately damaged the rear panel on the driver's side. We continued home (very bummed), totally cleaned the vehicle then returned it an afternoon early. Mike was gracious enough to thank me for the repairs to the vehicle we had rented, but not gracious enough to admit any fault for the condition of the vehicle. We notified our insurance and they provided an estimate and paid off RVRents.Net. For three months we waited for our security deposit to be returned. I finally called the accounting department and was subjected to one of the rudest people I have encountered on the phone. She told me they had to wait for payment from the insurance company then would decide how much of our deposit to return. They kept $489.50 of our $1500.00 deposit in addition to the $1,138.94 from the insurance company to cover the damages. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS! This is my second experience with RV Rent and it was even more positive than the first time. Roxanne was thorough, friendly, and accommodating. The RV was ready as scheduled, it was clean, and comfortable. Mechanically it ran perfectly. Operationally it was almost flawless. The refrigerator didn't work but this was recognized by staff prior to my departure. They offered another RV for which I declined and instead received a cash credit. All in all a great experience.
