Tim was out to our house the very next day, on time and with a small back up crew. Within an hour or so, he had our problem solved - turned out to be a failed circuit board and we were lucky that he had one available and on site, ready to switch out. Prior to the repairs he explained to me what was going on, what he was testing and what might need to be done. After they swapped out the circuit board, he showed me what he did, demonstrated the proper way to use a slide-out with a glitch in it, showed us the part he swapped out. He also did a complimentary roof inspection and told us that we could call him anytime, day or night, home or camping spot, and he would come out if we needed another repair down the road. Our payment went through Venmo and his prices are EXTREMELY reasonable, especially because of the quick turnaround. Then (yes, there is more) he sent us some instructional videos that we could use down the road. What impressed me the most was his friendliness, his courtesy and his kindness. The same goes for his staff, Ivan and... (forgive me... missed his name even though he told me but I blabbered away and forgot, didn't want to look inattentive by asking for it again. Was it... Vince?) But I can tell you, they were friendly and outgoing, which also speaks volumes for the company they work for. In today's climate where you ask for a quote and you never hear back, you leave a voice mail and you never hear back, or you finally hear back and the next available spot is 2 weeks away, having Tim and his crew come out the very next day reminded me of what actual customer service is. Tim saved our upcoming New Years Eve camping trip and he is going to be the one person that we call when we have any issues in the the future!!!

I was given a 1hr window for arrival within 3 hours of calling and he arrived prompt and ready to get to work. As a 20yr retired mechanic I had an idea what could be leaking, but Tim walked me through the locations of these "trouble points", ran through the scenario systematically, and fixed our problem within 30min while showing me what to look for and why... It's so hard to find trustworthy help these days or assistance that's affordable... Finding both in the same guy with EWT was the blessing we needed to save our camping trip. I can see why he's one of the few approved vendors allowed into Santee Lakes Recreational campgrounds. Thanks again Tim!

Zach took a look at my problems and we discussed what needed to be done. He advised of his plan and explained everything he was going to do. I was provided with a written estimate and a work date. I happily agreed and gave them my deposit. Throughout the workday, they provided me with photos and updates on their progress. They contacted me when the work was done and went over everything with me during out inspection. Everything worked as promised and I left a very happy and satisfied customer. We searched for an established and reputable RV solar firm, and a friend recommend Infinite RV & Marine in San Marcos. My initial phone call was answered by office manager Daniela, who listened intently to my questions, and quickly put me at ease. Following the call, she worked closely with the firm's founder and technical maestro David - who reached out to discuss technical aspects and options, and soon we had a detailed and easily understood proposal in hand to add a pair of 200 Watt rigid solar panels to our RV roof, as well as all the subsystems necessary to make them fully operational and beneficial to our anticipated needs. The day of our appointment, we met the rest of the team, including David's son Zack, who runs the day-to-day operations of the business, providing hands-on leadership to a small crew of installers, to assure everything is up to his family standards. As Zack later said: "I treat every RV as if it was my own". With several restaurants, a multi-plex theater and brewpub a short distance away, I planned on spending a few hours nearby as the work was performed, and was pleasantly surprised to receive an early call that the work was not only complete, but that my cost would be less than half of the estimate. On further inspection and research during the installation, Zack determined my existing control hardware and other systems would be able to easily handle the new panels, and there was no need to install the hundreds of dollars of additional new equipment they had understandably ordered and prepared for the install. Though Zack could have easily installed that new equipment for an extra profit, and explained it away to a know-nothing like me, he didn't - - and that means one hell of a lot. Zack, David, Daniela and the team at Infinite RV & Marine have our utmost respect and admiration. We could not be happier with the work they performed. When it comes time to expertly install complex solar and other specialized electrical systems in an RV, they will most certainly be the first ones we turn to.

Before approving the work, I specifically asked in writing whether the parts being used were Nissan OEM or aftermarket. I received a direct response stating: "These are OEM parts." Based on that written confirmation, I agreed to move forward with the repair and payment. After the work was completed, I began experiencing serious issues with my vehicle, including stalling to the point where it was no longer safely drivable. Due to these failures, I had to take my vehicle to Nissan for further inspection. During that inspection, it became clear that the radiator installed was not OEM. Nissan also confirmed that OEM radiators would not present the way this one did, including the absence of proper identification. In addition, the coolant/transmission lines had been modified using generic hoses and clamps--something that would not be necessary with an OEM radiator, which is designed to use factory quick-connect fittings. These findings directly contradict what was promised to me in writing prior to the repair. As a direct result of the improper parts and installation, my vehicle sustained significant damage totaling over $15,000 and became unreliable and unsafe to drive, requiring additional time, expense, and inconvenience to address. When I attempted to resolve the situation, I requested receipts and documentation showing where the parts were purchased. These were not provided. In California, automotive repair providers are required to provide documentation and itemization of parts upon request, including itemized invoices and parts information, yet Kevin failed to do so. Instead, I was told that I was a "nightmare" customer and that I was "giving him a headache." He also attempted to shift blame by suggesting the damage must have been caused by a collision or another shop, despite the timeline and circumstances clearly tied to his work. Since then, my attempts to follow up have been ignored. At no point was I informed of any substitution, nor was I given the opportunity to approve the use of non-OEM parts. The use of OEM components was a key factor in my decision to proceed. When a mechanic diagnoses a repair, recommends replacement, and explicitly confirms OEM parts in writing, there is a clear expectation that those terms will be honored. That did not happen here. I strongly recommend that anyone considering working with Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic verify all parts being installed, request documentation, and thoroughly inspect the work before accepting completion.

I have had to fix a few things upon accepting delivery and Rachel has been great in the service department as has Joe the manager. The biggest help I have gotten from everyone is from Tony in the parts department. Tony, Chad, and Nikki and the parts folks are awesome. Quite frankly I have read the poor reviews this place has received, and I think they are much better than what has been said about them. One of my windows was broken on delivery and I had a hard time getting follow up to get the new one ordered, though it had been promised by many folks at Holland on several occasions. I shared my frustration with Tony, and he took it upon himself to ensure that I had no further issues with Holland. Tony helped me with a weight distribution, anti-sway Blue Ox Hitch and personally got my window ordered and approved by Joe and the service team. Once Tony learned that I was having some issues that I wanted to resolve and had not been successful, he really stepped up and showed the best this place has to offer. Even though the window still needs to be fixed, this fellow really wanted to make sure that this and all the other issues (as I learn -- a newbie) are addressed. Tony goes the extra mile every time and knows no limit in showing he cares and wants to help - this guy is the best of the lot! That brings me to the final point: Holland is NOT a 1 star place deserving of 1 star reviews. They carry the finest merchandise and literally stock millions in inventory. Not everyone carries Grand Design - it is to me the Del Mar and Rancho Sante Fe of Trailers. They have all the top brands and top parts to go with them. My assessment is they are just plain overworked and busy and probably trying to get qualified additional staff in a rough market. One thing for sure though - they are ALL HEART! They truly do give a damm about the customers and showed that with me. To me, they embody classic San Diego - the big city that thinks it's a small town. If you have been to LA then you know what I mean. It's much friendlier here. These folks are very personal and put their whole heart into everything. And all of us with good hearts are not perfect - that's the point. Finally, I can't forget to mention that Dave gave my wife and I a wonderful walk through with refreshments and a red carpet service. Another Holland guy with a big heart. And Hank even delivered our trailer to us as we were not quite set up for towing (an exciting process to learn). HRV has my loyalty. Give them a chance and they will have yours too.
