Haircuts in Richmond are over priced overall but I did not appreciate being called out. They lost me as a customer and I have told everyone I know the story. The cuts are okay but they charge for the cut then to clean up the edges? I am from NYC the most expensive city in the country, when you go for a haircut they do the whole job and do not cut ala carte.

I went in a little early to check out the vibe. Good welcome when I arrived. The shop was pretty chill. Great staff and and could easily see the friendliness with the regulars. On to the cut. This was my first time here, and as a guy getting barber service, you want a barber that will take his time, make sure you walk out feeling like a king. My barber Thomas was just the right guy to take the time of the styling assessment to shave style to finishing product. Walking in the shop just smelled good, their main row of chairs was clean and the decor was modern rustic. You get greeted, they check you in, and they have a lounge as well to wait out your service. I worked with Thomas, and he had a very warm welcome and made sure to take the process of the style, cut, shape, and finishing product that was exactly what you were expecting. This experience did not disappoint. I truly appreciated his chat along throughout the experience, so it was fun and chill. I selected a skin fade with a hard part. The beard was close-knit mustache separated from the beard, which was don't chinstrap style. During the beard trim, I enjoyed the warm towel as well. It was such a chill vibe the whole time. I was informed of their 5 week shape up guarantee. This earned a very highly rated experience and look forward to my next visit.

(Not a pleasant atmosphere for me and my Hispanic partner) Also the barbers didn't know what a Drop Fade is... that should of been another sign to find another place. I even had a photo of the fade pulled up and this is what I got. My fade isn't even nor is it close to what I asked for. To top it off their equipment is very old and not taken care of, my hair kept getting pulled and I kept getting stabbed with the clippers. So if you have tough skin and don't mind terrible service this is the place for you.

A sign posted clearly read "Attention: No Walk Ins Allowed." A handwritten sign on the door said "We are open by appointment only." Needless to say when you have posted business hours and a customer arrives during those hours and the shop was indeed closed it hurts your business.
