The front desk people were friendly, helpful and got him into a room immediately. The doctor was in to see us in 2 minutes (even before the nurse could get his vitals). The nurse "Dawn" came in after and was so patient and caring. Dr. Havilah DeBell took the time to talk with me about my son's care and after we discussed it, she recommended I take him into the Emergency Room for a scan and observation. We decided to take him to Swedish Issaquah Emergency and she forwarded his information. We received amazing care here and I highly recommend UW Medicine Urgent Care at Issaquah.

Was surprised cuz she basically accused me of lying for saying I was using it but I didn't say anything. On my next annual exam I came back with print out from my sleep doctor documenting that that was using it. I explained to her what she said and that I wanted to prove I was using it. She said thank you for bringing to her attention and I should always bring up something to the doctor, and I'm right in doing so. She was sorry if she upset me "but going forward I should see a different doctor". I couldn't believe this. I had not been confrontational, argumentative, raised my voice, or used bad language. After looking at reviews, I have seen that she has told other people not to come to her again. I informed Virginia Mason of this but they never got back to me. That is why I'm posting review. Because the more people they see that she told them never to come back to her again and post that she has told them to go elsewhere, the more Virginia Mason will believe patients over her. She backpeddled after I told her that she said she wasn't convinced I was using my CPAP. Said she must have meant something else. But I really didn't see any other way of taking that. And the next day when she sent me results for my labs, she said good luck with your further healthcare. I responded on her treatment of me because I know nurses read those emails before Dr does and they can know what's going on too. She back pedaled and said she was just letting me know I am welcome to see other providers and have options. No. She's straight up told me going forward I should see someone else. Highly recommend avoiding the doctor.

Filing a complaint…read more Scheduled an appointment. Drove 1 hour to get to the further location (Issaquah) because it had the only available doctor. Arrived. Waited 45 minutes in the lobby. Waited another thirty in the room. Doctor came in - no physical, no exam, just told me to schedule a colonoscopy. Finished in five minutes. I hadn't had a natural bowel movement in a month. I asked what could be done until the colonoscopy and said I'd been using suppositories to produce any movement at all. He said that I shouldn't take them. Asked what to do instead, he just shrugged. Told me to ask my primary care, maybe they'd know (????). Colonoscopy was scheduled for three weeks later. Called in excruciating pain within days - still hadn't had a movement. A kind nurse told me it was strange they'd scheduled me so far out when there was an appointment open in days. Got me set. End of problem, right? Nope. After the colonoscopy, the doctor said he would send in a prescription. Forgot. Told me he'd get back to me with lab results. Forgot. Prescription went in after DAYS of calls. Needed prior authorization. Two weeks later, still can't pick it up. Pain after procedure has been extreme. Called again and again - told that maybe urgent care should help. Urgent care just says go back to my GI. Call and call and call, can never actually speak to a nurse. Can't get my lab results. Can't get my prescription - no one has time. But I've received several calls from scheduling asking me when I want to come back in and reminding me of the original colonoscopy date because three different people have failed to cancel it.

Went for ER visit and for Dr Moen. ER visit took a long…read moreTime and was busy. Had a tough time hearing reception when walking in to answer questions. My son was in excruciating pain and I was trying to tend to him and get all info relayed they needed but it seemed like there was a lack of urgency. I noticed this with woman next to me also checking in and she was on verge of vomiting. But I was trying to hear right next to her. Maybe its the plexi glass but seemed like they could have spoken louder at checkin which would have helped move it along and get us all to treatment quicker. Dr Moen js 10 stars. Literally the best doctor I've encountered ever. My son broke his wrist and she was able to operate on him in Seattle then cast him in Issaquah a couple days later. She was too Notch and patient and covered most our questions before we even would ask them. She was also quick and efficient and has put my son on a fast track to recovery. There was confusion only from mychart where we didnt realize we needed to go to imaging first. But she alone is the reason I would give Swedish Issaquah a 10. The gift shop reminded me of a high end hallmark boutique. I could have stayed in there for hours. The starbucks was stocked and moved fast. The food truck outside was awesome given the cafe was only open to employees. Looks to be open to public Sept 27.

But I understand things happen- that isn't even why I'm writing a poor review. Now there is some highlights at this hospital and I'm going to name them because they deserve it- unfortunately there was a nurse and cnas who ruined the whole experience. I will name them as well Upon check in Beth was the sweetest receptionist- she was reassuring and kind Once checked in and going thru all the pre op stuff I was lucky to have Chelsea. Chelsea was nice, comforting and fun. After my 9 hour surgery I was put on the 3rd floor where I was initially pretty out of it and in pain and nurse Olga helped with that right away to do her best to make me comfortable. Unfortunately, Olga had to leave for the night and that is when I experienced the worst nurse I have ever had. Nurse Emma. She talks nicely but she doesn't care about the patient. I was in extreme pain with medicine wearing off and my body had been through a lot... she told me she couldn't offer me any more pain meds and something about me going home. Which was the last thing on my mind when I was in such pain. She kept gaslighting me- in a very sweet voice mind you- I was in the most pain of my life. (And I've had 2 vaginal deliveries an ectopic pregnancy surgery and kidney stones etc) I was having extreme shooting pain and something wasn't right. She told me, "it's okay to be in pain" my first night in the hospital after a 9 hour major surgery by the way. Maybe she gets off on watching people be in pain? I'm not sure what she had against me. Come to find out- she hasn't checked my drain at all. And it was full. Filling back inside of me. And that was the reason for my pain. Thank god for the lead nurse- a nice Indian woman who treated me with dignity and respect. (Maybe Ferisha?) Who helped fixed the problem and even gave me a popsicle haha Emma told me she couldn't schedule narcotics when I asked about her checking regularly instead of me waking to intense pain and maybe not- but I knew my doctor wanted me comfortable and compared to the other nurses she was the only one who would not regularly come in to check or offer. She would straight up say she can't give me dilated (sp).. and okay she can give me 5mg of oxy and then in 2 hours give me 5 more instead of 10mg every 4. She treated me like a criminal. Or drug addict. Guess who never came back after the 2 hours. She was absent. After a 9 hour major surgery she was absent during the evening and when I was in pain she simply did not care and maybe even liked it. As soon as Olga came in for her morning shift she immediately changed things and made sure I was receiving pain medication. She gave me dilated and would check on me regularly. She is a nurse who cares. I learned this hospital trip you have to advocate for yourself- even if you feel bad pressing the nurse button. I requested to not have Emma again. Although it made me feel really bad for whoever would get her. And my doctor was so mad that I was denied pain relief. She said she was going to say I should have the tap administered type whenever I am uncomfortable but she trusted the nurses. Big mistake- it really was the worst time of my life. A nightmare. I ended up staying 2 more nights in the hospital. I was lucky enough to have Kristina the next 2 nights and Olga during the day again. Both are competent and caring nurses. Olga does a lot and doesn't have much support. Olga advocated for me and I felt overall very supported by her. Thankyou Olga. Kristina tolerated me well. And was very willing to get ice and make sure I was comfortable. My favorite staff member? Kaili. Who is a nurse but was working as an assistant my first full day. She brings energy, joy, care, fun, helpfulness and consideration. I wish I had her every day I was there! I wish she was my friend! Ha. She was amazing. She keeps your water filled and helps you. Response time via nurse button isn't timely- and they will scold you if your pee isn't clear enough and that you need to drink more water but keeping your water cup filled is something you have to advocate for constantly. I also was shocked that most new to me nursing assistants didn't even know what I was there for. Like no one is reading the summaries between each shifts... communication and collaboration and overall care is lacking in some of the staff of the 3rd floor. Overall, I won't choose this hospital again for surgery and post op care. Their ER is good tho. Shoutout to Pete
