I have to say Shannon, Graston and Deep tissue first so you can see it without the app. There had been rave reviews about the new guy Shannon. I could not wait to see what this dude was all about. I feel like I not only got one of the best therapy sessions ever, I also learned a lot about Graston, healing and the body. Oh, and fun facts like the dude from the old show Bonanza layed down some vocals on some old country songs. Ha! I have had over a hundred different masseuses over the years. My family is into natural healing and maintaining the body. I have had acupuncture, acupressure, bowen, and more. I have been very hard on my body and have never gotten true relief. I have had severe trauma in several parts of my body (foot, ankle, glute, whiplash, knees, separated both shoulders and probably more I'm forgetting) that I always just wrote off as not going to be able to recover completely. I felt things just start lining up in my body, within minutes of acclimating to Shannons massage my ribs were able to drop back in and relax. Once this dude got to work I felt all kinds of spots breaking up in my shoulder and all the way down my right side. The psoas work this cat did pretty sure made me taller. His psoas game is strong. I feel like I am finally walking correctly for the first time in my life. I mentioned my calf and ankle needing work and they got worked. I didn't think you could massage as deep in the heel and ankle area as Shannon got. As soon as his attention focused on my shin I could feel the fascia (I think that's what he called it) breaking up. That's when the ninja toolbox came out. He pulled out these dull blades and started smoothing out the large bumps that turned into little bumps. He explained the this technique was called Graston. Rubbing the blade over the shin felt like driving over a washboard road. I could feel the smaller bumps just dissolving and shortly smoothed out. Apparently Graston helps with blood flow and gets the little spots that are normally skipped. It pretty much works like magic. When he got into the back of my knees and I didn't even realize how neglected they were. All in all I noticed knee pain has gone, posture has improved and I can now turn my head without pain. I have recently had lipo and this place came up for lymphatic massage with good reviews, I booked an appointment for a female masseuse and filled out the online forms specifying what I wanted and was really excited. I was scheduled with Sharon but When I got there was a morbidly obese masseuse with a broken leg. The "massage" was horrible he stated several times during the massage he only works with athletes. And he asked me to take my bra off??? I just got a really Pervy vibe from this guy and he literally had no idea what he was doing. I asked him to not go below my waistline and he kept trying to touch my ass and the massage was all one sided (the side he was sitting on). He also kept talking to me saying he had done this since before I was born and I'm 40 years old. I will never ever ever go back to this place or even anything in the same business location. He got angry when I said I expected a female He acted like it was my fault And then stormed out while I was only in my bra with no consideration left the door open for me to dress. What a great experience! I have gone through a lot of massages through the years but all paled in comparison. It doesn't take long to realize their is an incredible amount of skill in those hands. Tricia really does a great job listening and understanding the pain you bring in so she can attack the source. I would have to say, what is often too common is getting a deep tissue massage and from the start the massage is throttle down with pressure but no appreciation for different levels of pain. Not here, Tricia really does feel with her fingers and gauges your acceptance to the pressure and I can attest if the muscle needs pressure at the top of your endurability of pain... she can get there. I had a great massage by Tricia. She had just started in her new location, which features a very spacious and comfortable waiting room with plush couches. The massage room itself has a large chair to put your stuff, lamps with low lighting, dark wood, etc. Very pretty. Tricia was able to accommodate my time of choice on the weekend. I arrived early, and she already had everything set up and was expecting me. She greeted me at the door, friendly and professional. For the setup, the lighting was very soft, there was relaxing music with no vocals and songs that just seemed to go on and on in a good way. Before we started she described her massage process, asked about pressure preferences, if I had any special problem areas, etc. The massage itself was great. If I wanted to talk, Tricia answered all my questions and made conversation. When I was just enjoying the massage, it was silent. Just the right amount of pressure, and she found some knots I didn't even though that I had! I also loved the heated blanket on the massage table. The massage wasn't rushed, went a full hour, and when it was over Tricia was waiting outside the room and a bit down the hall with a bottle of water for me.
