My partner and I went in for a couples' massage- They have a lot of chronic pain, and I wanted to treat him to something nice for his birthday. We had Kat and Christina, I believe, and they were fantastic! My partner had Kat (I think, I am so sorry if I mixed it up!), and she got right into all of the perfect spots- not only did he feel better after, the pain relief lasted a good while! She also gave him some stretches and whatnot to help keep the shoulder loose and strengthen it, which was unbelievably helpful. With Christina, she dang near put me to sleep with how relaxing the massage was! She definitely listened to where I was feeling more tightness and strain, and found some spots I hadn't even known had been in pain. Overall, the experience was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming- I didn't feel "underdressed" when I walked in wearing casual clothes, or like I wasn't supposed to be there, which I often find happens in salon-style settings. Wow!! I wish I could give 10 stars. I jacked up my low back and none of my usual fixes were working. I have never been to a massage therapist, but after almost a week of pain I knew I needed to let a professional take over. I made an appointment online and was able to come in the very next day. The receptionist was warm and welcoming. The space was clean and inviting. Christina was my MT and she did a FANTASTIC job. She listened to my concerns and was able to work out a lot of the tightness and pain. I especially appreciated that she stretched my problem areas during the massage (as I have been too tight to do any stretches myself). At the end, she made some suggestions on how to take care of my low back and SI tightness during my work day and showed me some stretches. I was able to get into my car and close the door without pain (a huge improvement after a week of struggling). She was set up and ready on time, at no point was there any hassle or delay because of her. Her prices were very reasonable and fair. The full story: My dad's birthday was a little over a week ago. He's nearing retirement, and has a physically demanding job, so I thought that I'd get him and my mom a nice massage as a birthday gift. His birthday was on a Tuesday, so they were both working - it would have to be an evening appointment. And I wanted it to be a surprise, so it would have to be an appointment at their home. And at the last minute, the massage therapist I booked cancelled! I got on yelp to find somebody new at 4p, trying to book an 8:30p appointment for back to back massages. I was not hopeful. Tricia swooped in like a superhero and saved the day! She went out of her way to help me out and make room in her schedule for the appointments. She was incredibly sweet the whole time. She arrived a few minutes early so that she could be set up and ready to go as soon as we were ready. Her prices were very reasonable. And when my dad told her about his job and how it took a toll on his body so could she please use deep pressure, she even stayed a good 15 minutes past time to make sure he got all the help his body actually needed. Didn't even ask extra for it, wouldn't even take more when I offered, just said "it's my birthday gift to him". Like I said, above and beyond with the customer service. I did not get a massage myself, but my parents certainly enjoyed their sessions. My mom was so relaxed, she basically fell right asleep after (she has trouble sleeping), and my dad asked me to save Tricia's number so he and my mom could book more appointments with her. I was visiting Sacramento when tweaked my back and I knew I had to get to get it taken care of ASAP (I had a back injury at one time and am prone to complete spinal meltdowns). Within hours of having stabbing pains in my spine I was on Tricia's table and getting the kinks and flare ups worked out. Hands down best massage I've received! I am barber, lucky to still be working, and after long days I have quite the pain in my shoulders. Well after tweaking my back in the gym I knew a massage was due. I live in Cameron Park and have tried multiple places just to be left unsatisfied. I found Rx Massage on Instagram about a year ago through a friend that is very athletic and she had amazing things to say about everyone there. I finally decided enough was enough and needed to go outside of my small town to get what I was longing for. I messaged them directly on Instagram and got referred to see Kellie due to wanting a firm pressure/ deeper massage. I was lucky enough to get in the same day. I booked a 75 min custom massage. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly man who asked who I was there to see. He let her know I was there and she came out promptly. She took me into the massage room and ask a few questions. My only critique would be the consultation was short. Didn't ask much other than about areas I was having pain and what kind of pressure I like. So I was hesitant on how things were going to go. But once she started the massage I knew it was going to be great. She had the perfect amount of pressure as well as her overall technique. Something I personally notice during a massage is if they ever break contact and she did not other than moving from upper body to lower and when she had me flip over. Something so little can be truly impactful on the overall experience. She does like to talk a little bit throughout which was nice but I was almost asleep so I was pretty quite. She had great relaxing music playing. I loved how there wasn't any foo foo essential oils or humidifier or any of that. Just a really amazing quality massage. The moment it was over I knew I would be booking again with her. I don't know how often a massage is necessary but I am definitely making it a monthly occurrence. Tricia has been my massage therapist for years. I beat my body up doing very physical work, typically for long hours as well and my body reflects it. I have parts of my body that are very painful and tight. Every massage I have ever had from Tricia has helped my body immensely. I require a lot of deep tissue and she is fantastic with it. I love this place because you can easily schedule online and book same day appointments. They have heated tables which is very nice. But I'd say it's really hit or miss on the masseuse that you get, I've gotten maybe 3/8 that were actually really good! The other 5 were okay, definitely not worth the money I spent on them. Once you find which people are actually good, then it's worth it. But until you do, have fun wasting your money until you find them. Worth a shot though. read more

Only 2nd session with Aaron, and he's really helped a lot of my chronic lower back pain and hip flexor pain. The pressure is enough to work through my "knotty and ropey" muscles. Without covid going on and not many places open, I found RX massage! Long story short I pulled some muscles from lifted and needed a deep tissue to relieve the pain and enter Ary my masseuse. I went in for a deep tissue with Shannon yesterday. He was very thorough and honest about what deep tissue is and what it is not. He was right, I've never had this kind of massage. My hip and lower back as well as my shoulder have been hurting for 6 months. Acupuncture, chiropractor have done little to address the pain. Shannon got to the heart of the issue and it was mostly my glutes. If you are female and run and lift and have lower back issues, duh it is your glutes. I'm hurting today but in the best way!
