I volunteered to do some work for my daughter's dance studio which went late into last Saturday night. My neck started to spasm and I had nearly no range of motion. I did a search for massage open on Sunday in my area and found Rx Massage. The booking process online was easy. I was able to schedule time with Amber. Within seconds of being on the table, Amber found the spot that was hurting me the most. After providing some relief to my biggest pain point, she focused on the rest of my neck and shoulders and I felt a lot better. I know I hadn't done myself any favors by letting my neck and shoulder muscles get that bad so I schedule another appointment with her the next day. She then performed a few other techniques which provided me ever more pain relief. I am very thankful for her and her availability and attention to the details which were causing me the most issues. Massage from Jasmine was excellent, and much needed! Last year I was immobilized for almost 4 months with a bad achilles injury. I had a 30-minute session with Tricia yesterday to take care of some low back and musculo-skeletal hip pain that I've been having for 6 weeks or so. This was intended as an exploratory session just to identify what the real issues/causes were. Tricia was able to get right to some trigger points in the glute/hip area and her treatment, along with some stretching at the end of the session, provided a lot of relief. She is knowledgeable, professional and I plan on at least another couple of longer sessions to fully resolve my issues. Great location and a very tasteful, comfortable atmosphere once inside. My girlfriend and I found this business on yelp today because we woke up feeling broken and they were able to get us in same day at the same time. Both of us by far have found this the most beneficial massage we have ever had. We always say we want people that know what they are doing and Zack and Anastasiya definitely do. They found every knot in our problem areas and took the time to work on them. Not just rub and push like most places but incredibly focused and detailed. I was in pain for a week from tension and knots in the back of my head, neck and shoulders. I'm usually always in pain with my knots a years now and I've done and massages usually helps me find some relief. I am so very happy to have found Rx Massage as they don't focus on the spa side (which I didn't really need), but they focus on your body and your muscles. Lara was amazing and she was not afraid to go in deep to release the knots I have been having. She was able to provide steady pressure and slowly able to help release the stubborn knots. She is able to get into spots I have trouble getting into and it's amazing how my headache and neck and shoulder pain just evaporated and finally was pain free. I had the worst tension headache of my life until I saw amber. I personally never get tension headaches but recently I had one that lasted 3 days and I decided I had enough and maybe a massage would do me good. Amber asked me what areas I wanted to focus on in my hour of deep tissue massage and I said back arms and shoulders. She cupped parts of my back that were really tense and also massaged me in places of my neck that probably caused my headache. I totally recommend her. I've had shoulder, neck, arm, and lat pain on my right side for several years now. Where it stems from is hard for me to determine, but I believe it was from exercising too hard without any form whatsoever or stretching. Since, I've developed a number of pesky muscle knots, and have been diagnosed by Kaiser (sketch) with shoulder impingement, biceps tendonitis, and nerve tension. To be honest, idk what's going on inside me, but when I extend my arm, pain radiates throughout it, and my shoulder is in pain pretty much constant. I have tried a number of massage therapists, acupuncture, chiro, cupping, and a doctor visit. Massage and acupuncture have provided me temporary relief in some cases. For my birthday I was supposed to get myself a massage, but I was too cheap and had kind of given up on fixing myself because I didn't believe it possible. Enter Yelp. I went on to find a great massage, and the concept of Rx Massage leapt out to me, because I really need a massage that is focused on recovery, and their philosophy resonated with me. I picked Steffanie randomly. She was consultative before the massage, and I've had many massage therapists who have asked about what I need, but then didn't seem to focus on where I needed help the most. Steffanie gives the most phenomenal massage, and she also did cupping. I had never had someone move the cup around, which felt amazing, but also seemed to free up a lot of space in my shoulder. The massage itself was perfect, and she is quite experienced and intuitive, as she seemed to know all of my problem spots. Even with a consultation, it's hard to fully express one's shoulder/pain, but Steffanie was able to hit all the areas I wanted her to. I've since gone back, and the second massage was phenomenal as well. My body feels so much better now, and my quality of life has gone up a ton. She's also really cool, easy to talk to, and down to earth. She also inspired me to stretch again, and when combined with her massage, I cannot tell you how much better I feel. Tricia is absolutely amazing! I am disabled and in a wheelchair so getting out n about is difficult for me. I don't have to worry about that for massage anymore because Tricia makes house visits! I have certain areas that cannot be touched due to my pain and my CRPS. Tricia listens and is very cautious when near those areas of my body. Most other massage therapists will try and tell me how they can 'fix' or 'cure' those areas for me. Even when I explain it's not a muscle or structure issue that can be solved with a massage. I didn't have to go through all of that with Tricia because she actually listens! Tricia takes the time to really work on any problem areas and uses the perfect amount of pressure. I've had several massages and typically the therapist will barely spend any time on specific areas. Usually, they have a memorized process and steps they go through for each and every client. I never feel like Tricia is just going through the steps. She is very knowledgeable and will explain why and how she's doing things. Tricia is our go-to gal for an amazing massage! We especially love that she will do back-to-back massages for my hubby and me. I always recommend Rx Massage to anyone who wants more than just a 'fluff and buff' that you get from most places. read more

I booked a deep tissue massage to try to heal a sports injury to my glutes/hamstrings, and was not impressed with the service. I really liked my therapist, but she applied soft pressure versus deep tissue massage, and was never able to pinpoint the area of concern. If you were looking for somebody soft or gentle, there are certainly therapists here for you! If anything, it was more of a relaxing spa style massage to my leg only, which I was not expecting considering my past experience with deep tissue massages at other locations. I wish I could give this place higher rating, especially seeing all the other reviews. read more

Best and most effective massage I've ever had. My cousin recommended I go see Shannon after I complained that I've never been able to find a good deep tissue massage that actually helps address the issues I have, like that giant knot behind my shoulder blade or my sore neck. Went to Shannon for a 90 minute deep tissue and left sore but feeling way better. After my third session none of my problem areas bother me and I feel like I'm on my way to putting them behind me for good. Also seems like I might be able to fix my deltoids which have been messed as long as I can remember due to exercising improperly in my teens, but we'll see how that goes. Shannon's deep tissue is very intense but not nearly as uncomfortable as some other deep tissue massages I've had. He's also really laid back and easy to talk to which makes the time go by quickly. If you aren't sure how much deep tissue you can handle I'd start with 60 minutes, because after 90 or 120 I'm pretty sore for 4-5 days. Haven't tried his other massage styles, but if you're looking for a deep tissue massage that will actually be help, this is the spot. read more

Katie without a doubt gave me the best massage I've ever gotten. Not sure if it was the cupping which I never did before or just her technique. After 3 last minute cancellations for my masseuse, I am done with this place. Yesterday, Rx called me 26 minutes before my appointment to cancel yet again. They don't realize that some poeple are making their own sacrifices to get off work and get to the appointment so they can get some pain relief. It's very unprofessional to allow consecutive last minute cancellations to occur. I totally understand cancellations because someone is sick, but when it's 3 cancellations WITHIN THE HOUR of my appointment, I call BS on that. read more

It's super easy to self schedule online even with short notice within a few days. At other places that means the massage is usually terrible but here, you get the true massage therapist at a spa experience. You can even book mobile massage through the site too. This business endangers the community and its employees by failing to require effective COVID-19 prevention protocols. The owner does not require face masks, so if you're looking for a safer place to get a massage, this IS NOT IT. I cancelled my appointment right away. I wish people understood the science of the virus better, but it's a respiratory virus that's transmitted by breathing in aerosols, tiny droplets that linger in the air, that an infected person left behind. This is why it's so contagious. The reason why indoor gathering is so dangerous is because the air is stagnant compared to the outdoors with less variables like sunlight or temperature that help break it down it, the aerosols don't disperse, and if they do disperse its via the HVAC systems which takes infected aerosols to OTHER places indoors. Aerosols also stay in the air for HOURS. All you need to do is breathe. The virus-causing aerosols get far enough into your respiratory tract and there, you've contracted COVID. Wearing a mask covers your nose and mouth, the holes that make it possible for virus-causing aerosols to make it out into the the environment, *reduces* the aerosols that make it into the environment by a significant amount. The mask makes sure they don't travel and disperse as far. In fact, *everybody* wearing a mask reduces risk of transmission by 65%. There is also NO SUCH THING AS A MEDICAL EXEMPTION. Not really. From an article on webMD: "It's very rare for someone to need an exemption," says Albert Rizzo, MD, chief medical officer for the American Lung Association and a lung specialist at ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, DE. . . Experts say there are very few medical reasons for people to skip masks. . . Requests for exemptions due to medical reasons are usually without basis, he says. "Obviously, if someone is incapacitated, for example, with mental health issues, that's case by case." Giving all that I described above and that this place doesn't *require* masks - when you're in close contact with another person in a tiny room for 30 minutes or more and when they're servicing multiple people in the same room who may be asymptomatic.... yeah, I was not going to set foot in this place. The owner and people like them are prolonging the virus by being negligent and doubling down on their ignorance. They are contributing to these lockdowns by prolonging the pandemic. Part of getting where we need to be means all of us doing our part, caring for our community and our neighbor, and part of that means wearing a piece of cloth that covers your face holes. I was able to find a massage place that was very affordable, effective, and had proper COVID-19 protocols. I was in a lot of pain and needed some help feeling better. I wore a mask; she wore a mask; she required everyone else coming in wear a mask. It was amazing and hardly made a difference to the experience. UPDATE: This is the message from the owner that I received, so this is exactly the type of person you're dealing with. You've never even been to our location so you can exit stage left because ALL of our staff have mouths to feed you terrible excuse for a human being. This is America where guess what?! We still have freedoms. We govern our government. We told you before you came in our protocols and you were an adult and made your own decision. If you hate America then leave we won't miss you.
