This is a must try poke stand in Kahuku and is popular for a reason. We were eating our way through the day so didn't have a huge appetite to eat an entire poke bowl, so we got 1/2 pound of the shoyu poke. It seemed like only two people were working the truck, which was not ideal. We waited 20 minutes for the scoop of poke. Although it was tasty, I wasn't mind blown. I've tried better poke, but it's definitely a solid option.

The biggest bowl evahhh special for me...

Got in just in time! Runs out real quick... Ry takes care as always!.... Don't stay in mainland too long we miss you... I always am super happy to see him and his wife killing it... proud of you!!! I drive from Kakaako all the time to eat your BEST POKE on the whole island...

I can see why this is known to be one of the best Poke. Finally tried it and in Hawai'i too! Yay. Got the Limu regular Poke bowl. It was so good! The cucumbers were crispy and tasty. The crab salad was the best I've ever had (never time I'm asking for more of that) it all mixed really well together. It was a rainy day but service was excelled and got my food and a decent time. Will be trying their other locations on the main land!

A very good friend of mine has been wanting to try Ry's Poke for months, and today was finally the day. We made the drive all the way from Kapolei, enjoying the relaxing scenery along the way. We arrived around 11:20 and, luckily, there was no line yet--though within minutes, people started rolling in. We quickly hopped up from the tables and stood in line so we'd be the first to order. The owner was super friendly, welcoming, and patient with all our questions. We ended up grabbing a few 1/2-lb containers: (2) Garlic Wave Poke and the California Poke. My friend ordered a poke bowl with the Garlic Wave as well--fresh, flavorful, and packed with a nice garlicky kick. The star of the visit, though, was the Tsunami Poke Nachos. It truly had a little bit of everything: creamy crab salad, crunchy pickled cucumbers, shoyu poke, buttery avocado, tobiko, and perfectly crispy chips, all drizzled with chili mayo and unagi sauce. Every bite was a mix of textures and flavors--savory, creamy, crunchy, and just the right amount of spice. Love seeing a small local business thriving, and it's clear why the line forms fast. Definitely planning to come back and try more of their poke selections!

Super friendly staff! I tried the limu (Ry's recommendation) and the yuzu wasabi. Out of the two, the yuzu was my favorite. The flavor was very refreshing! The combo, price wise, was a bang of your buck. With two half scoops of your choice of poke, plus rice and cucumbers. Also recommend adding the crab salad! There was a long line and the wait time was also long to get your food.

Lunch in Kahuku, Oahu, Hawaii... I received an email from Yelp, announcing the Top 50 Places To Eat On Oahu. Noticing that Ry's Poke Shack was #23, I decided to take the long drive out to the North Shore. Recently, Ry's Poke Shack opened a second location in Huntington Beach, California. I had messaged my friend, Joe P. to check them out. It's bad if I recommend this place and not try it myself, so... here goes... When you reach The Sugar Mill, go to the left, towards First Hawaiian Bank. Ry's is behind the taco vendor. Service is FIVE STARS! Ryan was there with his wife! I had seen him on Instagram and he is just as friendly in person as he is on Social Media! He's genuinely bubbly and enthusiastic! He was patiently pleasant to every customer! There's a shared, covered dining area with picnic tables and benches. It is outdoor dining with humidity and flies. That's how it is. I ordered the Tsunami Poke Nachos. The pickled cucumber had run out, so I received extra crab salad. It was okay, but the cucumber would probably balance out the flavor more. I personally thought that the unagi sauce was overwhelming. I liked the Furikake, tobiko, and chips! The Poke had a few sinewy pieces. I asked for no chili mayo, so it didn't hurt me. Overall, it was a good experience! I would return and get an ahi limu Poke bowl since I'm more of a savory person! Thanks, Ry, for the hospitality and CONGRATULATIONS on making the 2025 Yelp List!

This place is still awesome and delicious. Haven't been here for a couple years and this place has not missed a beat. Ry still giving aloha with eat service and does well being personable with all the customers that come through The area to eat can get a little crowded. But not where you can't find a seat nearby.

I'd say this spot lives up to the hype. The poke is very tender and flavorful, and they give you a huge portion, so it's definitely worth it. Just note that after a certain time, usually around 12:30 or so, they may run out of poke. Both of the owners there are very nice and kind, which makes the experience even better.

Poke done right. Each of the two poke I had BOTH had a unique taste yet still allowed the ahi flavor to come through which was perfection. Loved the two chefs specials. Lao style was perfectly spicy yet not overpowering. The only critique I'd have was that the added avocado was still a bit underripe but the rest was excellent and the owner is such a friendly guy. I could eat here every day this week

Stumbled across Ry's Poke Shack by accident when my family stopped for lunch and I'm so glad I did. The staff was incredibly friendly. Owner's wife is Lao and I was offered a Lao-style poke. It was absolutely fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and authentically spicy in the best way. If you love poke with a real kick and a personal touch, this place is a must-try. We'll definitely be coming back!

Two choice, Limu and Garlic wave, with a 1/2 pound Night Marcher (Off The Menu).
    Daniel G.

Visited this spot a couple times only for it to be closed. But not yesterday! I was fortunate to be off on Presidents' Day and decided to pack up the fam and take the journey to the North Shore and that hope Ry's was open. Well , well, well, guess what....Ry's is open! Now I can finally try the poke that I've been reading about and watching others eat at this place. It took me about 10mins to get to the front and place my order. Braddah Ry was very friendly and as a first timer, he asked key questions to get an idea of what kind of poke to recommend me. So he offers me something not even on the menu! I was like, Whaaaa??? Explained what was in it and said if you like spicy, like really, then you'll like this. I said, give me a half pound of that and I'll take a poke bowl with two other choices, Limu (gotta have my limu) and the Garlic Wave. He threw in some pickled cucumbers and a scoop of imitation crab poke. I waited an another 10mins for my order, which wasn't bad considering how busy he was. He called my name, I walked up to the front and he assured me that I will like the off the menu poke they made me. He said it's spicy but I didn't want to go overboard since he didn't know my tolerance for spicy food. He asked me"Chopsticks or Fork?" I asked for two chopsticks, in case my kids like try. He said I'll give you a fork too, just in case you like pound this plate. Mah Man! As soon as I opened up my plate and container, took couple pics, it's was all she wrote. The poke here was Ono! The "off the menu" poke was winnahs!! Braddah Ry, I appreciate you taking the time to have small talk with me and recommending the Night Marcher. I will definitely come back. Hopefully it's on a day you're open. I wish you nothing but success with your shop here and in Pasadena. Mahalo!

The steak was cooked pretty well but after eating maybe 2 or 3 pieces I stopped.
