We have had a great experience with her as their dentist, which makes this situation especially disappointing. We recently received a bill for a cleaning that was dated back to December 2022. Because we had dental insurance coverage at the time, I immediately contacted the office and our insurance company to find out why we were receiving a bill so many years later. After speaking with our insurance company, I learned that Kids Care Dental had never submitted the claim to insurance. Because so much time had passed, the insurance company would no longer process the claim. I made multiple attempts to resolve this issue, both over the phone and in person. Unfortunately, I could never get a clear answer or a resolution. I ultimately refused to pay the bill because this was not an error on our part. We had insurance coverage, and the claim was never submitted by the dental office. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the situation, Kids Care Dental eventually sent the bill to collections. That was extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, completely unfair. We did everything we were supposed to do as patients and had insurance coverage at the time of service. I don't feel we should be responsible for a bill that resulted from the office failing to submit the claim in a timely manner. The customer service throughout this process was also extremely disappointing. When you call, you are directed to a call center, and the representatives often don't seem to have the information or ability to actually resolve the issue. I made multiple attempts to get help and repeatedly felt like I was getting nowhere. It is unfortunate because we truly loved Dr. Shaw and had a positive experience with her as our children's dentist. However, the way this billing issue was handled, the lack of communication, and ultimately sending the bill to collections when the issue was not caused by us led us to leave the practice. I hope the office takes situations like this more seriously in the future, especially when insurance claims are involved. Patients should not be held responsible for an office's failure to submit a claim on time.

I went into this office and asked for the restroom code. Instead they responded with "are you checking in?" I said no I just need the restroom code. They said "those are private. You need to wait or go across the hall". You would think these businesses help each other out and their clients as they all use the same building. This was not good customer service at all. As a user of the cornerstone dental center I was not treated fairly and am disappointed with their lack of customer service.

They put spacers in and he is scheduled to get his braces next Wednesday, 6/29. I decided I should get him in for his regular dental exam and cleaning prior to getting braces. Wouldn't you know it, he had a couple of cavities right where the spacers were. We finished at the dental office at 4:20 p.m. so I called Dr. Holt's office to see if there was any way someone could stay past 4:30 to put the spacers back in and sure enough Tiffany and Shelly both waited for us. This saved me the time and gas $$$ of having to take him to their Roseville office today to get the spacers put back in. I was an Invisalign patient of Dr. Mark Holt about 15 years ago. My soon-to-be 40-year-old daughter just finished her Invisalign treatment with Dr. Holt a month or so ago. The customer service at all of his locations is exceptional. They work together so well and are always friendly and very efficient. I HIGHLY recommend Holt Orthodontics!

This is as good as it gets! Seriously! If you want, not only a healthy smile but a beautiful smile, then this is your guy! Many moons ago, I chipped my front tooth. My old dentist's solution to that was to file both of my front teeth down. That was his answer to everything! He wanted to put crowns on me, but I had seen his work..Chicklets. A couple years ago, a friend urged me to go see Dr. Higgins. He had crowned her front tooth and I was blown away at how natural it looked. You could not tell it was a crown. This is purely written FOR THE FRONT DESK LADY TERESA as a new patient's impression from the first dental office visit. She is completely competent, helpful, cheerful, and reliable. Absolutely a gem. She takes care of the usual appointments, paperwork, etc. and is the bridge of communication between the office and the patient. Email requests were promptly handled, which is a great plus in today's healthcare where the patients try to participate more in their own health affairs. Hopefully the rest of the office would match Teresa's performance. This might take some time to find out. read more

I really appreciate understanding what's going on with my mouth, and he took the time to explain everything in a way that was clear and empowering rather than overwhelming. He constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable, and honestly, it felt more like talking to a friend than sitting with a dentist which was incredibly reassuring. Together we came up with a treatment plan that felt thoughtful, reasonable, and genuinely in my best interest. I never felt pressured or rushed, and everything was explained clearly so I felt confident moving forward. I went in yesterday to have the dental work done, and I was completely blown away. I managed to find this place and compared Google and Yelp reviews- and it didn't disappoint! The fact that they reserve emergency and new patient appts in their schedule is big time! Other places I had chatted with, either couldn't get me in until months from now, or I had to wait a few weeks. I was able to get in immediately! Staff is friendly, polite, and does their job well. I was shuffled around from person to person for different stages of my new patient appts, X-rays, and the exam, but the transitions were seamless and I felt comfortable. I didn't get upsold on tons of things like read at other places' reviews and had a pleasant cleaning! They made sure to go through everything with me, from start to finish, step by step, and even the specifics of the laser deep clean I opted in for (which costed me $130). Check out was easy and simple enough, they take Apple Pay. Only downside is it took a little bit of time, and I felt like I was waiting for not many patients I saw being seen. It was about a 1:45 hour appt from start to finish. That's also on me for not asking how long these appts usually run. Note- I do have great teeth, no cavities, no major dental problems.
