Ryan was amazing to work with and is just an all-around awesome human being. We had told him the general area we wanted to do photos, and by our wedding day, he had done all this research on unique landmarks he wanted to photo, and would quickly spot unique sceneries on the fly. We would work with him again in a heartbeat! Ryan is obviously incredibly talented -- we are in love with our photos! We eloped, so Ryan was also our witness. Not to mention, he was suuuuper flexible leading up to our wedding day, as I changed the location several times at least. Thank you so much, Ryan! It was an absolute pleasure :)

We found Ryan through our venue and we felt very confident after looking at his website that we had the right guy to capture our wedding. His experience and attention to detail were apparent from our very first phone call. He gave us a detailed list of what to expect and what he needed from us. He even showed up hours early on the big day to scout the location and to make sure he would get the most out of the beautiful ranch we were getting married at in Templeton. He worked well with our coordinator and videographer, and best of all he captured every moment beautifully. Afterwards he was responsive, and quick to get our photos to us. He even offered to shoot some additional portraits of us back in LA. If you want positive energy and beautiful photos, I can't recommend Ryan highly enough.

Ryan is an amazing photographer and we cannot recommend him enough! We did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos with him and we could not be happier. My husband and I are not super comfortable in front of the camera so we were glad that we did the engagement shoot so we could get to know Ryan a little before the big day and also get a feel for what it's like to shoot with him. He made us super comfortable and told us how to pose. We shot at Mission San Juan Capistrano, Downtown San Juan Capistrano/Train Station, & Dana Point State Beach. Ryan knew all the good spots to take pictures. Our wedding was at Rockwood - Santa Barbara Women's Club and he was also very familiar with that location. One thing that I am so grateful for was Ryan's ability to capture all the special moments as well as the small details of our big day. He took pictures of our wedding favors, all the decor, people dancing, etc. on top of all the "typical" photos, which was so fun to look at after the fact since there was so much I didn't even see that day since I was so busy! He really captured every single person that was at our wedding and all of the decor and details that I worked so hard on DIY'ing. He also gave us sooooooo many pictures! He mailed us USBs for both photoshoots and we now have thousands of photos to keep as memories. This is unheard of! Most photographers give you a digital gallery where everything is watermarked and you can only pick a certain number of them - such as 50 of them. Ryan went above and beyond. Do not hesitate to book him! In my opinion, he should charge way more for the amazing services he provides, but his pricing is extremely reasonable.

Ryan was amazing!! He is so sweet, and outgoing, funny and just a laid back kind of guy. He does such great work. I showed him some example pictures of what I would maybe like for some of my wedding pictures and they turned out amazing! I'm super happy with my choice for picking Ryan to be my wedding photographer.

This review is for both engagement and wedding photos. Exceeded Expectations! Ryan was referred to us by a friend who used him for her wedding. After meeting with him, the wife and I were impressed by his demeanor, quality of photos and most importantly, his enthusiasm. Ryan loves his craft and it is very obvious he takes great pride in his work. It is very refreshing to see him enjoying what he does. This demeanor continued throughout our engagement and wedding photo ops. We received many compliments about Ryan from our family and guests and received several inquiries from our engaged friends about using his services for their weddings. It was very obvious Ryan has much experience shooting at weddings and even helped me out by repairing my boutonniere when it broke. His continual sense of enthusiasm and care continued throughout the day (we booked him up through 11:30pm and he never skipped a beat!) This energy was reflected in the photos he took. I cannot stress it enough; book Ryan for your special day. Trust me when I say, you will regret it if you don't.

Ryan photographed our beer themed garden wedding in Tustin, CA on 09/19/2015. He did a great job capturing candids, posed, and even some unexpected action shots from our wedding day. He was seemingly everywhere in an unobtrusive way and we are very grateful for his hard work. We ended up with 1,179 photos to sift through and we are still doing so - haha. We did a package with him so he actually shot our engagement photos as well. We did a non-traditional engagement shoot with interior photos at Bottle Logic brewery in Anaheim and then exterior/indoor shots throughout Old Town Orange. While the photos came out pretty nice, none of them had that "wow" factor as Ryan put it, so he volunteered to do a second round of engagement photos with us in an outdoor setting. We all met down at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido and made use of their beautiful grounds - The photos were wonderful and what we were all aiming for. My only advice would be to had a shot list for the wedding. While Ryan and I shared ideas back and forth for engagement photos, I didn't provide an actual "list" of photos I wanted taken on our wedding day and there are a few pictures that I regret not taking - My fault, not Ryan's. He's honest, willing to work with you and your budget, has a creative eye, and is very amiable. Give him a call, shoot him an email, meet him up and you'll be convinced like the rest of us. :)

Ryan Morris was the best photographer that I could have ever imagined. Below are the reasons I feel this way and attached to this review are some of my engagement pictures, and my wedding pictures. He is creative. I didn't want the regular pictures that you see with most weddings (ex. Pictures at a park). I wanted pictures that looked like they could have been out of a catalog or magazine and Ryan delivered. He had tons of suggestions for places to go and gave us the pros and cons of each destination. While on location he also had poses picked out for us to try. My husband and I had never done formal pictures before and the way Ryan suggested poses or gave us tips on how to hold ourselves was professionally done without making us feel like we were dumb or lost. Ryan was not pushy. This was my wedding and I knew what kind of pictures I wanted. I LOVED that he didn't try to change what I wanted to fit his own agenda (I had heard horror stories of this happening to other brides). When my husband and I told him that we wanted woods, he told us several different places where we could get the best pictures. When we told him we wanted contemporary, he gave us several different locations to pick from. The moral of this story is that he gave us choices and let us choose where we wanted to go. He did NOT push a different agenda on us than the one we wanted. Ryan lets you own your own pictures. This was very important to me. I had a friend that got married and had a different photographer. My friend had to pay for the photographer to take the pictures and then pay for the actual use of the pictures. I learned that this is how most photographers work. You have to pay a fee and get a signed permission slip saying that you can use your own pictures. Not with Ryan. Your pictures are YOUR PICTURES. You don't have to ask to use them. He gives you a flash drive with all the pictures on them and doesn't care what you do with them. I loved that I didn't have to deal with the same thing my friend had to. He is fairly priced. He doesn't cost an arm and a leg and if you are on a budget he is willing to work with you. We were on a budget and when we asked about photo albums he was honest with us. He told us that he could make the books but that they would cost us more than us just doing them. He gave us the site that he uses to make the books and let us go from there. He is honest. He didn't play games with us. There weren't any hidden fees. He gave us the information we needed even if it wasn't what we wanted to hear. I loved that he was honest because other photographers I was talking to at the time were already playing games with me. Ryan was organized. Which becomes hard to find when planning a wedding. He always remembered who I was and what kind of pictures I wanted for my engagement and wedding shoots. I never had to worry about him or if he would be there like we had planned. He also adhered to deadlines. When he said I would have finished pictures within 3 weeks, I did. Ryan is fast. Fast to respond to emails, texts and calls. Fast to get us our pictures. Fast to get us the information we needed to make choices. It was such a relief not to hound someone to get back to me on questions or deadlines. He made my pictures something I will cherish forever and something that I am proud to show off. Everyone I show them to asks who did them. In other words, if you are looking for a photographer that will give you what you want without the hassle and is overall amazing Ryan Morris is your man!

Ryan was the best thing that could have happened to our wedding day. A month before our wedding, our original photographer cancelled, and in a panic I started looking through yelp to find a new one. We came across Ryan's page and immediately met with him and booked him. He is so personable, easy to talk to, and takes GREAT pictures. Thanks to him, we have so many wedding photos that we love!

Ryan came to Santa Barbara to take our wedding photos and he was AWESOME!!!! He was fun, creative, easy to work with, and communicative. I can't recommend him enough.

We stopped by on a weekday in the late afternoon and practically had the place to ourselves. Another family arrived shortly after, but it was still very relaxed and easygoing. The process was super simple. You can make a reservation, but we just walked in without any issues. We did the white background setup for 15 minutes, which was perfect and definitely a must if you're taking photos with little kids. There were a few technical difficulties during our session, but the staff member was incredibly accommodating. He paused the timer and gave us those minutes back so we didn't lose any of our shoot time. The pricing is great too! The package includes 2 people and 3 printed 4x6 photos of your favorite shots. Additional people are only $5 each, but they didn't charge us for our toddler or newborn, which was such a nice surprise. One of the best parts is that you get access to download every single digital photo from your session, not just a select few. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and ended up with so many great family photos. definitely considering coming back for another shoot

Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

The only thing I would mention is to practice poses ahead of time, some were a little repetitive and lacked the "instagram wow" feel but if you're someone not good with posing, James will give suggestions so don't worry. The best part is you get to keep all of the photos not just the selected edited ones. I now realized not all photographers will give you the entire gallery which would be a huge disappointment for your big day.
