I also really appreciate the assistance I received recently with another account issue. Someone was able to escalate my concern and ultimately help me reach a resolution that I was very happy with. The representative who helped me over the phone was Tashiana (I apologize if I have the spelling wrong), and she was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the process. I really appreciated how I was treated. The main reason I am writing this review is because I am hoping someone from the appropriate lending department might be willing to reach out to me regarding a personal line of credit. I have submitted an application online, but I have received some confusing and conflicting statuses. On one application, it initially said it would be manually reviewed and then changed to declined within minutes, even though it was after normal business hours. Another application initially appeared to be automatically declined, then changed to indicate that it was under human review, and ultimately showed declined again. I completely understand and respect it if the applications were reviewed and the lending decision is a decline. I am not upset about that. I just wanted to mention the changing statuses in case there is an issue with the online application system that VACU may want to look into. If the applications are in fact being declined, I would very respectfully ask whether someone might be willing to take another look at my situation and see if there is an option that could work for both VACU and me. I have been a lifelong Member One/VACU member, and that relationship means a great deal to me. I did experience a period of financial hardship that resulted in some difficulties with my account, and I fully acknowledge my responsibility for that. Thankfully, that hardship has now passed, and I am hoping to rebuild and continue strengthening my relationship with VACU. I also hope my overall history can be taken into consideration. I previously had an auto loan through Member One/VACU with a perfect payment history, and I have not had issues making the payments on my VACU credit card. I am particularly interested in a personal line of credit because VACU is one of the very few financial institutions in the Roanoke area that I have found offering them. The online application appears to require a minimum request of $2,001, but I would absolutely be willing to accept a smaller amount if that would make an approval possible. I remember Member One offering smaller or starter-type lines of credit in the past, so I would be very interested in something along those lines if VACU has any similar option available today. I am not asking VACU to disregard its lending standards, and I completely understand that there are no guarantees. I am simply hoping someone might be willing to review my overall relationship and see whether a smaller or starter line of credit, or another arrangement, could be offered. My preference is genuinely to continue building my relationship with Virginia Credit Union rather than looking elsewhere. I have been part of Member One/VACU for such a long time that I would much rather find something that works here. I am more than happy to be flexible on the amount and work with VACU toward something that makes sense for both of us. Unfortunately, my work schedule makes it very difficult for me to visit a branch during the week, which is why I am reaching out this way. If someone from the appropriate department could contact me to discuss whether there are any options available or whether my application could be reconsidered, I would sincerely appreciate it.
