My alterations experience here was absolutely amazing and wonderful!!! So professional, sweet, and skilled. I took my wedding gown to get tailored and bustled and she went above and beyond. You can tell how experienced and passionate they are about alterations and took special care of me and my dress. My dress had a lot of detailing on it and she gave me tips on how to better show it off, took time to show me and my mom how to tie the corset, bow, and bustle my dress, and helped take videos and pictures of it for me. She even added an extra hook because she noticed that there was an awkward gap above my zipper and the existing hook was not holding it well. Price was very reasonable and turn around was great. You can see the racks and racks of clothes they have to alter behind the counter and its peak prom season so everyone was coming in for appointments but I NEVER felt rushed. In fact, they are so busy they even had to cut out their dry cleaning business and work solely on alterations, because that is how great their alterations are. I came in for a fitting without an appointment and she was luckily able to squeeze me in and 2 more times for the alterations. each time she worked with my schedule and gave me her word that she would be in the store to watch me try on the dress so that she can make any changes I wanted and make sure I loved everything. When I mentioned that I still needed to find a veil, she gifted me with an extra one that she had!! An absolute angel. This is a small family-owned business that works HARD and deserves a lot more recognition. I would recommend them to anyone I know for alterations. read more

I brought in a cocktail dress to be taken in just slightly at the hips and for the hemline to be raised by about 2 inches. Nothing terribly complicated, it was a size 4 and I'd lost a little weight and thought it would look better a little tightened up. I picked it for wear for the next day and was unhappy to find that the hips didn't appear to have been touched and the hemline was actually crooked. Not hugely so - I was still able to wear the dress - but if I wear it again, I would have alterations redone, and done properly. I could have done my own alterations but I took it to a professional and expected professional results, which I did not get. That all said, she was definitely nice and maybe even would have fixed it (I didn't have time). I really wish it had worked out. read more

I brought my wedding dress to be fitted here after a friend of mine had her own wedding dress altered by Ann and referred me to her. We've had Anne take in a few cheer uniforms over the years, as well as homecoming dresses, and every single time they came out perfect and ready! We are about to bring in two more gowns for a formal event because I can't trust just anyone with these next dresses. You will not be disappointed. Their work is top notch! I totally recommend bringing your garments to Ryan's Alterations for cleaning, pressing, and having them altered. They are very professional and Ann does Amazing work with alterations. MIRACLE WORKERS! I brought in a bridesmaid's dress that was 2 dress sizes too small, the bodice and skirt were different materials AND needed hemming! I needed the alterations to be done in just a few short days. I was so nervous that this was not going to be possible. I brought my dress in on Wednesday. Ann reassured me and explained to me everything she was going to do. I picked it up Sunday. They even worked on their day off (Sunday of Labor Day weekend), to complete it! Ann and Ryan are amazing. I had an emergency wedding dress situation ONE WEEK before I had to leave. It was actually a skirt that I had gotten after another tailor maimed my dress and it was 4 inches too long. After appealing to 4 tailors before Ann & Ryan, I learned that the skirt was far more intricate than I had ever imagined and they all but laughed me out of their shops when I mentioned the 1 week time restraint. But not Ann. After a lot of bunching and pinning and tweeking, she agreed she would do it for me - even though it meant she had to work Sunday and it was perfect. They did a beautiful job. My wedding dress came in exactly one week before my wedding. I ordered it online and it came from China. When I tried on the dress I could zip it up but the chest and arms were so tight I couldn't even lift my arms. It was 3/4 sleeves and the forearms were so tight I could barely get the dress up on my shoulders. I walked into Ryan's on Wednesday evening around 5:15 and begged her to help me. She was extremely busy and didn't really to have time to get my dress done by Tuesday at noon. Thankfully she took pity on me an said yes. She said she'd have to cut open the arms, down through the arm pits to the chest. She was concerned because there was no extra material. She would have to try and match the lace. At that point I told her I didn't care what she had to do or what she used....I just need the dress. The dress was ready when I walked in on Tuesday at noon and it fit like a glove! She did such an amazing job, I couldn't even tell where she added the material or that it was a different material. She made me love my dress and I was able to raise my arms to danceI have used them off and on for all my alterations for the past 17 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I went to ryan's alteration on minton rd in palm bay, Fl Andvitvwas awesome, they helped me with everything I need help with on my prom dress and they had a good price not to expensive and even if it was expensive then its worth coming here because the lady and her son are proffessionals at what they do they understand you and get whatever you nees done fast What I needed was fabric added to my prom dress because it couldnt fit right so she add more fabric that I had brought and then she also sewed it up to were the dress was.not to loose to were it fit perect she said she wanted me to look nice for prom she is a nice lady her son is nice too. They are good at what they do, i asked her why she chose to become a person who fixes clothing she said because she loves doing that its her live and passion and life and a blessing. They are so amazing they are worth more than 5 stars. She fixed my dress withen 1 day she opens at 7 or 9am and close at 7pm. I took a new patio curtain panel to be hemmed and I also took 7 pairs of pillowcases to be hemmed. I ask for them to press them too. I paid $85 and left the items. When I picked them up, the mother came up complaining I did not pay enough. I ended up paying almost $70 more. Brought the items home. The next day, The patio panel was hung, it was 2" shorter than I needed. The bottom of my patio door and glass can be seen. The pressing job, well the curtain looks terrible. I was so upset. After a day-and-a-half I called and the mother answered. I told her. Not much said on that end. The stitching is crooked. Just be careful.... read more

We paid around 25 dollars for an alteration on a bridesmaid's dress. When we got it back it still wasn't right, but the clerk told my girlfriend she was just wearing it wrong. We ended going somewhere else where they were able to fix it properly as well as show us how Ryan's did an unprofessional hatchet job...tangled knots, crooked lines, and it fit horribly. I took my wedding dress here to get it altered. The top was way too big on me and not flattering at all before I brought it here. They helped me change the shape of the top of the dress and added on new straps for me. The staff did a great job achieving my desired look and were awesome at working with my busy schedule.
