However, this Friday night, December 4, we went for dinner and all was fine upon arrival; however, as our meal progressed it was very obvious that they are not following any social distancing or requiring of masks Tables that surrounded us were filled with less than 2 feet between us and the next customer on all sides. Many people including some employees were walking around the restaurant without masks. Clearly the sign on the door was just for show about social distancing and mask wearing. Stopped in on May 30th, sat on the rooftop with a great view and plenty of space. Didn't have to wait for a table. Servers not wearing masking but I felt okay with that as she kept her distance from us and was very friendly. Was on a motorcycle ride over to Cocoa from Orlando. Decided to stop and walk around downtown. We noticed this place overlooking the water and sail boats, so we stopped in for lunch. Ah my home town of Cocoa. I love Cocoa. My old man used to enjoy Ryan's before he passed. It's been a while since I went there so I was visiting and decided to check out their new location. Had the whole crew with me even my dog. Thankfully, they have waterbowls outside for pups and my English bulldog was content. We ordered a pizza and some sort of fries with something on them that was bonkers...they lasted maybe 2 minutes. Ryan's gets 5 stars from me not because the pizza blew my mind --- it's great pizza but it's a total package place. If you want to be loud and have fun, upstairs is good. To relax with the fam, downstairs is good. If you want to take in the gorgeous view of Cocoa Village, outside is your choice. For me, Cocoa Village at Christmastime is gorgeous. Having a "Florida Christmas" sitting outside, people watching, enjoying a cold beer and good food IN Cocoa Village...well, there's not much more that can top that. read more

We flagged down a server at the other side and asked for help. She said she would get our server. Again, nothing. First server came back and said the second server didn't realize she was supposed to be our server. She took our drink order and said she would inform the second server. Well the food is absolutely great there , however it's unfortunate that we were having dinner seated next to the bar where we had listen to some of the bar staff conversations that were unprofessional with profanity used in front of our 9 year old son in which my wife decided to remove herself and my son from further listening to their language what makes it worse for the owners it was very clear that some not all of the bar staff were drinking on the job sneaking shots like no one would see well my son saw everything in which I confirmed by observing it myself very sad as they are stealing from their employers. I have come here before with my girlfriend, and it was pretty good then at dinner time. Good portions of food, and it was very tasty as well. Coming here at lunch time, is more of a slow feel I guess lol. The food is still good, and all is well. Sooooo..... Ryan's was very busy on the weekend, we had to park pretty far away, but that is to be expected in Cocoa Village area from what I've seen. But the view is great so no big deal! O.k.... now the food... Ehhhh, I'm not totally impressed. My BF and I decided to share a slice of their supreme like pizza and it was not great, in fact, I've had better from Pizza Hut.. Lol, wow. It was pretty dry and bland and not very cheesy or hot, I was pretty sad about my half :( Alrighty then, moving on to the good stuff.. we ordered the Guinness battered shrimp and chips and it was very yummy!! I'm definitely craving them and will probably order the fish and chips next time because the shrimp were slightly on the small side. Went to Ryan's tonight after a long buisy day at work because I was too tired to cook. I regretted it. They stop serving pizza by the slice after four which is not explained anywhere. The food took a crazy amount of time to get to us. The food was either made wrong or cooked to mush. Then the waiter became a little defensive and rude when we told him about our issues. The manager came and did a good job helping us with everything but by then we just wanted to get out of there. I was really disappointed because we had always heard good things about Ryans but as far as I'm concerned I would be better served going through a McDonalds drive thru. Yesterday I ordered shepherds pie from Ryan's. I received cottage pie of course! It seems that Americans don't really know the difference between shepherds pie and cottage pie. This cottage pie was totally different from anything I've ever had in my life it was meat in a poorly flavored sauce with a little corn mixed in, covered with mashed potatoes cheese and a brown gravy. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The toast came with it and I sent it back. I ordered Miami ice as a drink, it was OK. The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed as it was Sunday night and crowded. AMAZING garlic knots!!! You can order them with WARM Alfredo sauce to dip in love that! Food came out really fast, service was great! Coconut shrimp - yummy. Sauce nicely sweet with some heat. Fish sandwich of the day - mahi not over seasoned and juicy enough that it didn't need condiments. Wings - deep fried and not over-sauced. Cheese pizza slice nice and crispy. (Though we saw another pizza delivered to a neighboring table with lots of toppings that looked a little limp for genuine NY style - but they liked it!) We were in the area for a concert and decided to grab a bite before the show. Ryan's was a cool little spot that had a chill beach pub feel. The staff was pleasant and very attentive. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and portions were large. The nacho waffle fries our waitress recommended were ridiculously good and crazy large (3-4 people easily). The tables were placed fairly close so seating was a little difficult with my wheelchair. I like the food, atmosphere, and staff. We had a great lunch on the roof with coconut shrimp and garlic Parmesan fries to start, then tried a couple pizzas and salads and we all left full and happy! Pizza was New York style and flavorful.
