Another home run for our event Ryan's ALWAYS!!! Over exceeds expectations

The staff, the ambience, the service the menu for always over exceeds my expectations!

    A perfect pour.

One of the best attractions of Ryan's Wake has to be it's covered outdoor deck. Its spaciousness and view of the Hudson River are definitely major pluses in attracting customers. However, the attractiveness of the old style bar inside with dark woodwork and what I believe may be a tin ceiling, gives a warm welcoming feeling if you prefer to be indoors. We had a party of nine. Staff were happy to move tables around on the deck to accommodate all of us. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the two hours we were there. Judging from the reaction of our group, I believe everyone was pleased with their food and beverages. Some of the group ordered larger items on the menu, e.g., Chicken Teriyaki Dinner ($15), while others simply ordered an appetizer, e.g., Calamari ($12). With my Guinness ($7) I had the Bacon Blue Burger ($15) with optional Onion Rings ($3) as a sub for chips. I ate all the Rings first while they were hot and was pleased with the quality and flavor. The burger I found to be on the dry side. I don't think it was dry due to any lack of house-made blue cheese dressing (which did not have enough blue cheese flavor for my liking), but I think it was the sesame bun with its stiffness. Even the caramelized onions couldn't offset the dryness of the bun. My wife said her Calamari was overcooked. This is a pleasant enough place that I can envision some of our group occasionally returning.

Go here! I've been in the past (like 5-10 years) but the place has doubled in size since. You should go here for the view and outdoor/ alfresco seating. My husband and I came for a drink. He got a dirty martini and I got an espresso martini. Both strong and delicious and we could pick our own seating in the sunshine. I'll definitely be back and get dinner next time. Great vibe and location!

The staff, the cocktails, the food, and the atmosphere are all on point! I had originally made a reservation with a place close by that fell through and immediately felt interested in this location. At 7 o'clock on a Saturday night they were already pretty busy which is mind blowing but I completely understand why. We kickstarted the night with a cranberry apple Moscow mule and a Jameson Manhattan. Both were made to perfection and we were able to witness the amount of love they made our drinks with all the way down to the presentation. We got an order of the chicken dusters to snack and lawd have mercy they were Delicious!! We were surprised how many came with it as well. Overall we loved this place! Everything about it. If you're in the area definitely check it out.

This was a spot I visited on my trip back home. They have a great atmosphere, great food, and a wonderful staff. They made me and my friends feel very welcome for my 70th birthday. The bar is old Ireland in Troy NY. If I get back I will be seeing you again. Lew Bailie, Bayonet Point Florida

Great variety of drinks and great people. They really should clean the bathroom a little because it sure was stinky! My drinks were fantastic and the waiter was on point!! Always checking on us and making sure we had what we needed. He himself gets a 5 star

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, friendly and excellent service, great drinks. Fantastic indoor and outdoor seating. Traditional Irish bar with beautiful woodwork on the inside, fantastic patio overlooking the river on the outside. Phenomenal food and drink at a great price. WARNING: the hot pepper garnish on the spicy margarita will make you breathe fire.

Meh... Yes this is a stunningly beautiful bar, original tin ceilings, converted gas lights but they have made the choice to not let patrons sit at the bar and even worse, they immediately turned down the jukebox after I started playing songs so low that you can't hear all because father and daughter owners at the bar don't like the song played. Uggh!!! And the Mac and Cheese is made with thin cheese sauce, not actual cheese- weak! One shining star was the pulled pork which was perfect. Get you head out of you ass during COVID- every dollar matters so don't you EVER turn down my music if I've paid $20 into the juke box- EVER, or I leave and close my wallet for good.

Frozen vodka cherry lime lemonade. Yum!!

Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Deck is second to none. Female manager needs a lesson on politeness though.

This place continues to underwhelm. The food is always just…read moreokay to good. Never great, never spectacular, never delicious. On our most recent visit, however, it was the service that was horrible. We didn't get the server that we often have, but we were willing to give a different server a chance. She. Was. Horrible. It took more than 15 minutes to get our soup and salad! My husband had to flag down the hostess to ask for a refill on my water, TWICE. The server never asked if I would like a refill and my meal was buffalo chicken!! As a matter of fact she never asked me anything, only my husband. "How's your meal?". "Would you like another drink (twice)?". "Do you need a carry out container?". All directed at only him. Then, to top it all off, she didn't come back to the table for a solid 10 minutes once we got our containers. She had us, one table that needed their order taken and a third table that was still looking at menus and she was flustered. Once we finally did see her she asked if we wanted anything else, again speaking directly to my husband! He said "Just the check, please." And here comes the best part, we watched her get drinks for her third table, take orders at the second table and walk by us at least six times. We waited nearly 15 minutes for her to bring the check. It was ridiculous. As I said, the food was good, at best. The service horrendous. Usually the food is nothing to write home about but the service is good. This visit was just BAD. We live less than a mile from this restaurant and still only go 2-3 times a year. That number will go down even more now.
