My cousin and I went here on Friday afternoon. We enjoyed the ginormous pretzel and beer cheese (YUM)! As well we split the buffalo wings and they were crispy and easy to get off the bone. The atmosphere was lovey and our waitress was very attentive.

We've been three times so it's safe to say they're pretty consistently average. Sadly I can't even say their beer is ice cold.

Happy to find a place with so many gluten free options and a even more rare occurrence, gluten free beer. Though it's only one it's better than no beer on a hot summer day of hiking.

Never in my life have I seen a restaurant been more in need of John Tapper than this place. Devoid of Ambiance, (the outdoor patio is just... welll... blah... umbrellas are free from your beer company)...no management, lousy cocktails (they beer will get there with your entrees)...frozen food... our salad was from 1978 in content and age... the Italian dressing from a jug...really really dirty wet floor sign that was my dinner companion ... the list goes on and on. The place seemed busy but maybe it just speaks to the level of people expectation of the locals. .

Wow what a find. Was out in my awesome van doing some "vanlife" stuff when Patrick's pub came to mind. Turned my awesome van around and headed to Pittsfield. Found easy parking today wich was a big bonus for this crazy country boy. Grabbed my black hat and dipped it below one eye and walked through the door like I was walking onto a yacht. Headed towards the bar and the staff watched me gavotte. Found a seat at the bar. There were quite a few pretty ladies sitting at the bar some with their partner. I had the food here several months ago and it made such a pretty pair with the cold beer. But I give away the thing I love, and one of them was the chicken chunks as there was so much of them. Even if you flew your lear jet upto Nova scotia, towards the rising sun, you would not find chicken this good. I swear it taste better than clouds in your coffee... Yes, clouds in your coffee. So don't be vain, come and try some of this delicious food! You will feel like your horse won at Saratoga with the first bit! Trust me my entourage....come! Come fast and enjoy!

Amazing container full of nachos and cheese, salsa, sour cream, and nacho liquid cheese.

Didn't realize this restaurant allowed animals in the dining area! Too bad, food is good, but sneezed all evening due to dog allergies.

The traditional (hot) & teriyaki ginger wings were ordered crispy, both were fantastic!

In an attempt for a quick dinner, I gave Brulees a try, wanting two things I would expect to be…read moresafe in any good restaurant: a dry, cold martini and tasty fried calamari. In both cases, Brulees burned me. The bar, which is big in size was small in choices for gin. Apparently, they had been 'slammed' according to the bartender the night before, leaving nothing but Beefeater and well gin. Well...there's a concept called 'restocking the bar' that often happens prior to opening the next day. Just a thought for the future. As for the calamari, the primary ingredient in Brulees's version was grease. The calamari arrived brown from swimming in what my Mother (who used to own restaurants and is a wonderful chef) would call 'dirty oil'. The decor reminded me of a USAirways Lounge circa 1993. Lots of blonde wood. Lackluster at best. All that was missing for me is the announcement of departing flights. I actually felt a bit depressed by it, as I was projected into an all-too-familiar business travel mode. Frankly, with all that glass facing the street, it would behoove Brulees to bring up the level of decor, or play out the airport lounge feel more directly, going full-throttle for the theme by having the servers dress as flight attendants, and serving the food on individual trays preceded by a warm towel. I swilled back the martini, ate what I could of the calamari, and left unsatisfied. Looking at the diners around me, I saw that I was not alone. As I was sitting, it occurred to me that Brulees would be a perfect candidate for Gordon Ramsay's 'Kitchen Nightmares' restaurant makeover show. My advice, head that intervention off, Brulees. You don't want him coming for a visit. If you think I and this review are tough on you, he'll only make it worse...and do so on television.

We reviewed both menus and decided Brulees was a better choice when comparing the price and the ambiance. We were happy with our choice. The restaurant is really spacious with large windows, a large bar in front, a lounge toward the back, and a large room in the back for private parties (accommodating approx. 75 guests). I was told on some nights they have live entertainment in the lounge area. I had the flat bread pizza special that evening, which was topped with figs, sliced rib-eye steak, and blue cheese. The pizza was really tasty, but maybe too much sweetness from the figs. Their portions were very generous, because my husband's order of spaghetti and meatballs could easily have served two people. And for the dessert.... Mmmmm mmm mmmm! Of course we ordered the trio of creme brulees. The flavors for the night were Baileys Irish Creme with Kahlua, coconut with Malibu rum, and white chocolate with Godiva chocolate liquor. Excellent! We also ordered the trio of gelato - pistachio, vanilla bean, and Godiva chocolate. They were also very tasty. This was our first time in the Berkshires, and if we return we will definitely check out Brulees Restaurant for a second round.

What really sets this place apart is the owner. She does real, meaningful good for the community -- feeding the hungry, helping rescue dogs in Puerto Rico, and keeping creeps trying to indoctrinate kids out of schools. That kind of integrity matters, and it shows in how this place is run. Great food, great people, great values. Proud to support this business.

And no, I did not "tell them how to run their restaurant" as the petulant owner says below. To be helpful, since I was solo, I asked for a counter seat not a table though there were a bunch empty. The attitudinal counter person snapped "there's a waiting list." When I asked how long, she made a face and said "maybe 15 minutes." Seeing that there were at least four empty tables (and no visible line), and not really wanting to wait 15 minutes for a counter seat, I asked if a two-top were possible. Now she flips out and yells "I said 15 minutes, what do you want a job telling me how to run this place?" I've worked pretty much every restaurant job in my youth from busboy to dishwasher to waiter to kitchen prep -- including in the Berkshires -- and would have been immediately fired if I ever went nuclear on a customer over a harmless question. Instead I got breakfast at another -- friendly, family-owned -- Pittsfield diner, had a great quick meal and tipped 30%. Some people get so full of themselves and their drama. You're serving eggs to your neighbors, not working the velvet rope at an exclusive club.
