We then ordered 6 large sheet cakes to be cut and served to our 300 guests. Our caterer pointed out the cake was not deliverd yet, at 30 minutes before ceremony. We had to call to get the cake delivered and it was all wrong....it was a styrofoam cake with buttercream frosting that was melting off in the July heat at our outside garden wedding and reception. We were also shorted one entire sheet cake. We met with Marcia 3 times to get what we wanted and gave her pictures. Luckily, we also had Ben and Jerry's Ice cream serving at the reception and some guests only had ice cream and no cake because we were shorted one entire sheet cake. We specifially ordered fondant on the styrofoam display cake so it would not melt, my daughter burst into tears with she saw her buttercream icing melting and exposing the forms underneath. Our caterer and photographer tried to fix the appearance for pictures.
