Went to mainly try sushi and ended up liking other menu items way more. Spider roll is my go to and the presentation of this one was beautiful. I was underwhelmed with the flavor and freshness. The roll was ENORMOUS. Way too big, I had to pick it apart to eat it or attempt to dislocate my jaw. And it looked like there was cream cheese in it? Didn't taste like it so maybe it was imitation crab...? I don't really know, it didn't taste like much. Two pieces of soft shell crab didn't taste fresh. The scallion chicken was really good though. It came out sizzling like fajitas and the chicken and veggies were cooked perfectly. The ramen was also really good. I recommend both. Service was friendly enough. read more

Nice new sushi place. Longview is a bit out of my neighborhood. My buddy sold his trailer and wanted help delivering it. We ended up at Ryoshi 153 for late lunch. It's a nice new place, clean and new. The place is a bit loud. You can hear people in the other section and the drink fridge fan noise was flowing straight to our table. All hard surfaces.so the sounds bounced around the place. They let as move to a back corner away from most of the noise. The sushi was very nice. Being close to I5 they get fresh seafood from Seattle. They have a better than average selection of seafood. As you can see in the picture we ate a lot. The bill was over $100 The booth was comfy. And the service was attentive. The location was easy to find and basically on our way home. I recommend moving the drink fridge and add some sound deadening items, wall coverings or something. But a nice menu of items to choose from. I would return to Ryoshi if I lived in the area. read more

Surprisingly good and authentic experience here in Longview! Even got an "Irasshaimase" on the way in. We ordered a bento box and tonkatsu ramen for dinner tonight. Both were delicious, and came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The server was super polite and happy to explain anything we asked. This place also has some pretty amazing sounding specials! The restaurant itself is pretty quiet. The parking lot is kinda small, but there's street parking that doesn't require too much of a walk since it's on the corner and it's an empty lot next to it. First timer coming to this new restaurant! Food tasted great. The presentation was amazing. It came out on a dome plate that had "smoke" coming out of it. The wasabi was yummy! We had also ordered the mussels but were really disappointed by the size of it! The other sushi restaurant uses green mussels so they're big for the 4 you get. The ones at Ryoshi are the regular mussels so they are reallly small in size. Not worth the price for the 4 you get. We also ordered Gyozas and that were yummy as well. We gave them a 4 star because as they sat us for our table, we sat there for 15 mins with no menu and that was even after the waiter had came and checked in on us. It wasn't until another waitress notice we were without and she finally gave us a menu. read more

The best sushi I have had in Longview. The sushi rolls could be cut a tad smaller but the taste is there. I am very picky about sushi and although I can't say this is best I have ever had, it's pretty damn good for a smaller city. I will be back. Mel is the best!!! Always a smile on her face, attentive, helpful. She is a huge asset to this business. I initially returned for the food, but now I return because of her and the food second. She is a gem. The food still seems really fresh. Chef tends to plate in different, creative ways when eating in. I've also ordered pickup and done DoorDash. Businesses have seemed to struggle in this building, but I hope the community can help keep this one in business. I know everyone has off days, but compared to similar restaurants in the area, I think Ryoshi 153 stands out in quality and service. read more

I was sad to find out Los Jalapeños Taqueria was gone, but what replaced it is an absolute GEM. The second you walk in you're immersed with a beautiful and intricately decorated interior. The lighting, music and decor bring a warm, relaxing yet high-end vibe. Right as we walked in we were greeted by the sushi chef who was hard at work creating some of the freshest, artful sushi I've ever seen. He is truly as master. The presentation is absolutely amazing and the textures are just the way they should be. The seating is comfortable and private. Everything is well spaced out. The tables themselves have a really neat centerpiece built into them. They brought us a complimentary egg roll to whet our appetite not long after we sat down. It was a very nice surprise! They have a fantastic assortment of sake and imported Japanese beer. We went with the warm house sake and it was delightful. The server was very attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. We got the karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) as an appetizer and I cannot stress enough just how good it was. If you go there DO NOT pass this up. For the main course I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and a small serving of the yellowtail nigiri. I enjoyed the ramen, but in all honestly it left something to be desired. The broth wasn't as rich as I was hoping for and the chashu was subpar. Still finished the whole thing! XD The yellowtail just melted in my mouth in the best way. And when I say the selection for sushi is enormous, that's an understatement! Anything that you could desire is there. By the time I was finished I was unfortunately too full for desert, but I saw they had some good choices to include a few different flavors of mochi. The experience overall completely eclipsed the slightly disappointing ramen. The price is more than fair for the quality and experience. A well-deserved 5 stars! The sushi here is great no complaints about the quality or freshness. This was my third time ordering from Ryoshi, and the food itself has always been solid. Unfortunately, the service has been less than subpar. I waited over 30 minutes for a simple order (one roll, side salad, and miso soup) even though I had called ahead while on my lunch break from work. When a particular waitress is working, she tends to be short and not very pleasant, which doesn't help the experience. After waiting and finally saying I had to leave, she told me it would take just as long to refund it as it would for the salad to be made -- which felt dismissive. And to top it off, when I finally got the food, it was the wrong roll I ordered the Crusty Philly and received the Philadelphia instead. I hate to sound like a complainer, because I really do like the sushi here, but it's frustrating when your lunch break is wasted and your order still isn't right. Hoping they can tighten up their service, because the food deserves better representation. read more

The atmosphere is very lovely, comes across very high class with very fair prices for the potions. The food is also delicious! I've had many miso soups and this was probably one of my favorites, the rolls are beautifully presented (and I love to eat a garnish). A cozy "moody" lighting, with no overstimulating sounds or bright lights. The woman's restroom is incredibly clean, I immediately took note of the very nice changing table for those with children.
