Surprisingly good and authentic experience here in Longview! Even got an "Irasshaimase" on the way in. We ordered a bento box and tonkatsu ramen for dinner tonight. Both were delicious, and came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The server was super polite and happy to explain anything we asked. This place also has some pretty amazing sounding specials! The restaurant itself is pretty quiet. The parking lot is kinda small, but there's street parking that doesn't require too much of a walk since it's on the corner and it's an empty lot next to it. Definitely want to return!

A few of my pickleball friends decided to try out this new sushi place! It is amazing! High quality fresh seafood here in Longview. Mel our server was so friendly and the interior is so beautifully redecorated! We look forward to frequenting this place. Chef's attention to detail and taste was greatly appreciated!!

First timer coming to this new restaurant! Food tasted great. The presentation was amazing. It came out on a dome plate that had "smoke" coming out of it. The wasabi was yummy! We had also ordered the mussels but were really disappointed by the size of it! The other sushi restaurant uses green mussels so they're big for the 4 you get. The ones at Ryoshi are the regular mussels so they are reallly small in size. Not worth the price for the 4 you get. We also ordered Gyozas and that were yummy as well. We gave them a 4 star because as they sat us for our table, we sat there for 15 mins with no menu and that was even after the waiter had came and checked in on us. It wasn't until another waitress notice we were without and she finally gave us a menu.

    Red beer Japanese. Refreshing.

Warm friendly service. Comfortable clean and relaxing ambiance with good music.Excellent food presentation and excellent tasting food!

Rainbow roll, California roll - delicious

The best sushi I have had in Longview. The sushi rolls could be cut a tad smaller but the taste is there. I am very picky about sushi and although I can't say this is best I have ever had, it's pretty damn good for a smaller city. I will be back. The chef clearly takes pride in it, I appreciated the fun presentation as well. 7/10 on taste.

I felt bad for a minute but then he brought us to a table where the cushions were so blown out that the table was coming almost to our chins. It felt vindictive and I didn't feel bad anymore. Things got even weirder after that. We asked about happy hour and he said you have to be sitting in the bar, we asked to move there. Get to the bar and there's no bartender.......why sit us there? Bizarre. He took our drink order and mocked me for my choices. "OMG, you think whiskey tastes good with sprite? Ew" I honestly didn't know how to respond, I've never had a waiter be so weird. Then instead of making the drinks, he disappeared and didn't come back. Finally had to flag down another waiter who took our order, made the drinks and put in our food order. The food has gone downhill. My spider roll was rolled so poorly I couldn't use chopsticks. Had to use my hands and pray it wouldn't fall apart. Most of it did. Crab tasted old. Prices have also gone completely out of control. There is no happy hour to speak of, 10% off isn't worth anything. And $11 for a Sapporo?!?!?!?!? That costs less than $4 in a store. This restaurant is paying less than that. Absolutely insane. This used to be a favorite spot but we won't be back.

Our chef was super funny and super talented! Being as I made my bones in the culinary world I so enjoy watching my food being prepared in front of me! We both got hibachi for two and the entire meal was succulent and hot! Well prepared and well priced! The atmosphere is what you'd expect of a hibachi joint (I don't mind the noise as we shared tables with some nice people) Overall 10/10, would most definitely come back and would most definitely recommend to family and friends. If you ever find yourself in Kelso I most definitely recommend stopping by if you've the time!

Does the thought of raw fish make you squeamish? No worries here!…read more #1 All of the menu items with raw fish are indicated with a bright red star, so no surprises. #2 There are over 200 choices on the menu! So glad I grabbed one as we left so I could study it for next time! We had the privilege of living in Japan several years ago. Long enough to try just about everything and some things I'd wished I hadn't! (My hubby was in his realm & I'm the squeamish one!) Sushi Sakura has done an amazing job in offering so many choices for just about any pallet. Everything is beautifully presented in typical Japanese fashion. I'm partial to Bento Boxes because of the variety in them and they're so stinkin' cute. And their Sushi ROLLS! We got the biggest kick out of the names of some of them: Miso Sexy Roll, the AK47, Godzilla Roll, just to name a few! The dining room is huge with lots of seating. The decor is a little spartan, but that is also somewhat typical Japanese. They keep things very clean, uncluttered and simple. I've got to try one of their noodle bowls next, now that it's winter!

There is parking on either side of the building, and around the corner up the hill from it, so if one lot doesn't work, there's another. The chicken/beef teriyaki, we realized, was served in a cast iron shovel. Hilarious! What was also super impressive was how quick we were served. I feel like we basically sat down, asked for food, and it was on the table within moments.

The worst part about this place is deciding what to have. I had chicken skewers with fried rice and my girlfriend had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Both were great. I believe it was the owner who served us. He is supper friendly and helpful without being pushy. Because it was my birthday he played Happy Birthday in the background while he sang. He had even made sure to ask my name so he could use it in the song!! He did this after bringing a deep fried Twinkie with ice cream and whipped cream. We will definitely go back!!
