Cmmunications in progress. ------ 1st Advanced couldn't tell us specifically which alternator we needed for our van so we bought two to the tune of $1300+ (with intention of returning unused one) and went to a garage we found in the area (we were on a road trip starting our vacation, so didn't know anyone in area). The garage took us in and did the repair. We were so thankful to be on the road that we paid him cash and headed out. Unfortunately lost the receipt. Wasn't really planning on needing it. Lesson learned! Initial breakdown did not have to do with Advanced Auto Part. And we made an assumption that the part(s) we purchased would be good. for the price...maybe should be lined with a little gold? 2nd on the way home. SAME PROBLEM. This did have to do with Advanced Auto part. Alternator was bad! so now we're in NJ and have to find some help. We eventually did find a repair shop that could help us, but not until the next morning so we were stuck overnight. Not their fault, i put this blame on faulty part as well. So the alternator that we purchased from Advanced was no good. Shop replaced it with a NAPA (where they get their parts) and the cost of the alternator was 1/2 of what we paid at Advanced, although the labor was double what we paid the first time. This garage told us that NAPA will stand by their product and if something like this happens they will reimburse for additional labor as a result of THEIR BAD PART. So I called Advanced to see if they'll do the same. if the part they sold us was good we never would have been delayed getting home and having to pay even MORE labor to reinstall another alternator not to mention the towing fees to get the van to this garage. They did refund me for both the alternators that i purchased. the bad one and the additional one i had to purchase. now i'm tyring to get assistance with the added labor we had to dish out. Stay tuned... i am hoping to be able to update this review with a positive note.

They were doing a full service which was more than Dan Perkins, They then showed me we failed the back tire alignment so I had them do an alignment. Again, more than Dan Perkins. And mind you, when I check in, I showed them right on the Dan Perkins website the pricing specials and the most they did was a $50 credit. Still paid more but that seemed ok until I was told the back break pads needed replacing. They quoted $500. Dan Perkins right on their website charges $350. Even with time and gas, worth saving $150 to drive to Milford. however, I let them do it after the service agreed to match the price. Go to pick up my car. Told it is $812 and then go to swipe the credit card only to find out that they charge for credit cards. This is not some small business. This is a major car dealership. It was lucky I had a check on me of I would have had to pay an extra $25 or come back with a check. Very sneaky not to tell you upfront when you drop off the car. Drive to Milford. Dan Perkins is the absolute best and they have a great waiting room with lattes, Capuchino maker, snacks, and will change the TV station if you ask. As a side note, I have bought three Subarus and every time the price was better at Dan Perkins than here. Go to Milford!!!!

They create unnecessary stress on our once nice quiet neighborhood. At least if you're going to be dealing with ILLEGAL businesses, be polite and professional. They need to fire all the delivery drivers and get ones who know how to be professional and respectful of other's property!

I was there for 5 minutes and none of the associates greeted me or ask if they could be of assistance. I went up to the desk and waited. After a few minutes I asked for help and finally got their attention. I told the associate what I needed and he had a really hard time finding the part for my car. He stated that "They have only been Car Quest for 2 years and are still figuring things out" .... Ridiculous! A good business owner should not take 2 years to properly transition to a new business & teach his employees! I finally got frustrated and walked out. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because they were pretty busy when I arrived. However I feel I could have gotten better customer service from them. I love cars as my father was in the automobile business for a long time. I will give them another chance next time I need a part for one of my cars and hope to have a better experience.
