these guys do some honest good work. took my girls car in for an oil change and they noticed her back tires were bad. they offered me a reasonable offer for both the oil change and tires; while showing me what to look for when shopping around for "better" deals. apparently there are places that use "bad oil" for oil changes and sell you generic tires from China that aren't so good. thanks S & A. i'll be sure to be back soon! read more

My car's battery was utterly dead this morning after a two-week international sojourn. After it was jumped with the additional diagnosis of a bad alternator from an organization that I will keep unnamed, I made it as far as the freeway on-ramp before it unceremoniously sputtered to death again. I had the car towed here, and the battery was replaced for free (still under warranty) with the additional finding that the alternator was fine and didn't need replacement at all. In fact, according to their diagnostics, there was no way that the alternator could have even been properly checked previously given the poor state of the battery. They also refilled the freon, diagnosed a leak in the high side port, and fixed it at the same time after I mentioned that the A/C wasn't working anymore. Within 1 hour (after it had been dropped off by the tow truck earlier for the aforementioned battery issue). On a Saturday. Incredible. read more

Love S&A Auto, been taking my car here for about 3 years now when the warranty ran out on my X5. The place was recommended by my friend's husband who said they are honest and do a good job, which has turned out to be true. They pretty much get any part in that day (factory BMW parts to) or the next day at the latest, they're fast, open pretty 7 days a week (short days on sundays). The owners, Art and Sako, are super nice and explain everything that needs to be done. Final price is never over the estimate and it's a good feeling (being a girl and not knowing much about cars) to know that someone's not pulling one over on you. read more

Not a fan of this place after not honoring a Goodyear insurance claim on a blown tire; not telling me that Goodyear's company store down the street, would. They don't have the largest inventory, so generally you have to wait for them to order. I have lots of work done here: brakes, tires, lubrication, and oil changes. This work was done appropriately, on time, and fairly priced. read more

My Husband took our van here for an alignment. The staff did an alignment​ with the tires still worn, which resulted in further damage of the tires which voided the warranty. when he returned to question the manager, he was to put it politely, shooed away. 5 stars for DISAPPOINTMENT​. read more

I went to these guys to do an alignment on my Subaru. It was $60, which was a good deal. So I get the car back and go for a drive. The car drives straight, but the steering wheel is crooked! I go back and tell them, and they put it back on the lift. The tech comes back 2 minutes later and tells me it's perfectly straight. I take it out for a drive again and it is exactly the same! Now I'm pissed because clearly they just put it on the lift and didn't do anything to it. If he had readjusted it, he would have had to put the sensors on each wheel again (which he did not). So I went and talked to the guy up front. He started telling me some stuff about how the computer won't let him even proceed with the alignment unless the wheels are straight. I told him that's great, but the problem was the steering wheel. I explained to him that the steering wheel needs to be straight before doing an alignment. He didn't seem to grasp the concept, and told me that I probably had a bad tie-rod. I told him that if I had a bad tied rod, the steering angle would be changing (which it wasn't). Also, I had just taken the car to my mechanic a week earlier to check the suspension, and he said it was fine, and that it just needed an alignment. So I finally got the manager to go on a drive with me and showed him the problem. The manager then put the car back up and aligned it again. Finally it was ok. They got it right, but I had to deal with some hassle and BS from the techs. read more

The owner (or whoever was at the front desk) flat out lied to my face by telling me I'd need a $300-350 part (+ repair costs) for a check engine light with a P1456 error code on my Honda, thinking I had no idea what the problem was; he even lied to me about what the error code meant. Went to a dealership, got my cracked gas cap replaced for $35 without warranty, the CEL turned off and I passed my smog check. It seems he did a decent job changing my oil though, hence the second star. read more

This is the best place, most honest, and they have the best prices. I used to live up the street from there and I would take my company and personal cars there. Now even though I'm all the way on the westside, I will go out of my way to get my oil changes and other repairs done there. Awesome service. My tire had a flat, and I could not afford the $90 box to repair the tire ( I just lost my job). I asked them if they could replace it with a used one instead, and Art, the manager quoted me the price of $ 30.00 dollars all tax included. Because the used tire was different, he proposed to have the back tire moved to the front one, so that the front tires would be identical (same brand tires), thus not be misaligned as result of having two tires from different brands. The fee to switch the tires around was $ 10.00 box extra which he ended not charging me for. Thanks Art! Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism of the entire team despite my natural skeptic disposition... as a female it is easy to be given the run around when it comes to mechanic stuff, but not at all at S&A Complete Auto. They have diagnosed the problem and located the exact whole, which confirms that they were not trying to make/force a sale. I initially didn't tell them, but it had already got the tire appraised at another store & they at S&A, located the exact same location of the defective tire, and told me the EXACT same thing the previous store had told me, which tells me I could let my guards down because they're legit and awesome! read more

Went to these guys a few weeks back for an alignment, they said $60. Seemed cheap enough and the Yelp reviews were alright so I went in. I asked beforehand if it was a complete alignment, including the steering column...making sure the steering wheel is centered as well as the wheels straight. The guy nodded "yeah yeah" while shuffling through some papers and not looking up or making eye contact with me. Sure enough the alignment was done, the car drove a bit better, and the steering wheel was crooked. Ok I thought, $60 is cheap...so what did I expect, no big deal, I let it go. Today I called over there again. Not that I was really impressed with their attitudes or work, but they are cheap and close by so I thought I'd give them a second chance. I asked the guy on the phone if he could do a timing job for me. I recently pulled my distributer to clean it and the manifold underneath it and put it back in misaligned, thus throwing my timing off and not allowing my car to start. It's a relatively easy fix for a mechanic and though I'll now end up doing it myself with tutorials from the net, the guy says "well if you touched it we don't even want to look at it, we don't want to get stuck with it". I said "what do you mean stuck with it? You are a mechanic right?" He said I might have messed something else up when I worked on my car. I didn't, but, well if I did wouldn't that be good for a mechanic charging you for repairs? You would think they'd want the whole freaking car to need thousands in repairs wouldn't you? Anyway I said "so you don't want to look at it?" He sighed and sounded irritated and annoyed that I was calling his service station for car service, and then said "look, for $140.00 I'll look at it" as if he was doing me a grand favor. I was referred to Leo at S&A by my trustworthy mechanic, Hrant, for some electrical work. I broke down on a road trip this weekend and had to get towed to another place (a corporate chain). I was charged lots to replace a battery and alternator (even though it was only 4 months old). Leo tested my "old alternator" though and it found it to be fine. All that was needed was a battery fuse. Leo worked with his crew to order the part and promptly fixed it, eating the labor costs. He also went above and beyond to help me by talking with the previous store who worked on my car, saying that they did not need to put in a new alternator or battery. Obviously, Leo knew what he was talking about was able to help me in recovering most expenses from the other store. I am the person that Juba is talking about that I look at his face and I lied I don't pay attention to those reviews but this one I have to respond because Juba Z is the is the one that lies all he did asked me to look at his monitors to see if there complete which two were not compete and there was an oil change involved. According to Mr Juba Z which has to get his facts straight he him self pull the code out he him self diagnose his own problem and just asked me from what kinds of things could this could would come up all I told him that usually any problems with evap system of the car could set that code. like I said I don't pay attention to reviews but I helped him personally when I was showed that review by my long time client I have to respond to straight out lie. he left very happy with his girl. he was told some evap repair could be $15 and could run as high as $300 depends on the problem his problem was never diagnosed by me or the shop.
