I had a really good experience at Discount Tire in Pasadena thanks to Victor. I came in thinking I just needed a quick oil change, but he showed me how worn down my brakes actually were. Seeing how close they were to being a serious safety issue Victor took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense and never made me feel pressured. He was friendly, honest, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Since I rely on my car every day, I was worried about how long everything would take, but he got everything taken care of much quicker than I expected. It's hard to find people who genuinely care about helping customers, and Victor definitely does. I really appreciate his help and would recommend anyone needing service to ask for him. read more

We have taken our 2012 Mercedes C250 here twice now, both times VERY last minute for very unexpected tire replacements. It was highly recommended to us by another auto shop. The person we worked with was incredibly friendly to us, which really made us feel welcomed. Both times we got really great deals on our tires. Like many people, we basically just asked to get the cheapest tire possible that was still a "good" tire. The guy who helped us said something funny but gave us peace of mind that we were still getting a good tire... he said "It's still a tire that I'd put on my daughter's car" haha. Works for us! While both times they didn't have our tire in stock, they were able to get it done the very next day which was no problem for us. We were just grateful to be able to get our car in last minute. Wouldn't go back there again. 1. They were overbooked, even after confirming our appointment. 2. They rushed to installed my mom's tires and broke one of the TPMS sensors. 3. Crooks. Amazing place! I came in just 10 minutes before closing with a flat tire, and the manager was still willing to take me in. They patched my tire free of charge and even took the time to check all of my other tires to make sure everything was good. The entire team was incredibly nice, helpful, and welcoming. My recent visit to Discount Tire and Service in Pasadena, approximately a month ago. Front desk was friendly. ​While my online invoice correctly lists the four tires I ordered online--Falken 225/60 R17--the tires actually installed on my vehicle are the incorrect size: 225/65 R17. While the higher ride height of my car prevents immediate rubbing, the invoice does not match the product installed. I didn't realize until a week or two later when I was applying protestant to my tires. Hope I don't have any issue if I ever need to use the tire insurance. read more

I've been going to DTSC for all my tire needs for the past 30 years, but the experience I had today really changed things. I ordered my tires online, scheduled for delivery yesterday, and arrived at the shop right at opening so I could get my car back quickly. I checked in, and Sal told me they could get it done in an hour, so I waited. An hour later, Sal approached me, mind you, I was sitting in clear view of the service area, about 20 feet away, and told me they had been searching for three of the four tires for the past hour. Apparently, the tires hadn't arrived at all. So I had essentially sat there watching them remove my wheels, remove the old tires, then put everything back on because the tires that I ordered were not even there. I left with an hour and a half wasted and the phone number for America's Tires who took me right away, even beat the price. Beyond that, Sal's way of doing business didn't inspire confidence. While I waited, I watched him handle customers and calls in ways that felt questionable, putting people on hold repeatedly saying he needed to change phones claiming the phone "wasn't working," only to return to the same phone moments later saying it suddenly sounded better. He was just letting that person on hold cook. After an hour of observing how he works, I learned a lot. He even tried something similar with me, initially insisting he didn't know anything about manufacturer warranty coverage for my tires. Then, while I was sitting right there, I had Goodyear call the shop and suddenly he knew exactly how the warranty process worked and how to credit me over $100 per tire. He just didn't want to deal with it. That's the kind of service experience I had, and unfortunately, it was enough to make me decide I wasn't coming back. See ya read more

My review is based on my first visit. The location is close to PCC and there's an ample amount of parking. I had a scheduled maintenance at 3:30PM on a weekday. I arrived half an hour early but the staff graciously accommodated me. The space is relatively clean and quiet. The toilet needs some cleaning though... Other than that, the waiting area was comfortable enough. The service took roughly 3 hours. I paid a little over $500 for an oil change, break fluid, coolant exchange + all the scheduled maintenance checks at 75K miles. They had no promotions available at the time other than a $5 first time customer discount which I obviously welcomed. read more

Had a flat tire due to a nail in my wheel and wanted it get it repaired or replaced. They repaired it for me completely free of charge. I was told it'd be around 1.5 hours as there were at least 5 people in front of me and I was a walk in but they had me out the door in under an hour. This was one of the nicest and easiest experiences that had to do with fixing something with my car so I definitely cannot recommend this place enough. I came into Discount Tire around 2:00 PM to get a simple alignment, knowing they close at 3:30, so there was still plenty of time. There was only one other car being worked on and no other customers waiting, yet the employee told me they "wouldn't have time" to do it. It honestly felt frustrating and disappointing because it didn't seem busy at all. Have been a loyal customer here for few years now. Just recently even purchased a full set of tires! Went today with a screw in my tire and they refused to plug or patch it. Wanted to sell me new tire. Completely dismissive manager. Young bearded guy with really bad customer service skills. I ended up going to just tires down the street and they politely removed the screw which as it turned out didn't even puncture the tire. Discount Tire was rude and dismissive. The good - nice clean spacious waiting room, fair price on tires, friendly staff The bad - was told unpatchable and recommended a new $275 Pirelli. Luckily I had to leave and could not wait. I later found another tire shop in Pasadena (Chuy's) who fixed it for $20. No issue so far after 200+ miles. Highway rubbery!!! At its best, this was my first visit to discount tire and service in Pasadena and this will be the last, when I called on March/30/2025 early morning I spoke with a gentleman by name VICTOR and I asked about my Toyota Corolla's rear brake issue he quoted me $290, when I got there he jacked up the price to $672 dollars.again I am not a mechanic as an average consumer I believed to what I was told that I need new brake shoes and drums, and hardware replacement,I asked him if meant brake pads? He responded no this car doesn't have pads it is shoes that needed to be replaced and I agreed when I got my invoice I was totally shocked when I saw ( remove and replace brake pads and rotors) right away I lost my trust with them therefore I don't recommend this place not even to my worst enemy, I urge you do diligence before agreeing and request everything in writing and it will be wise if you request all the old parts that have been replaced, and they quoted me $800 for water pump replacement luckily I refused and I had it done for $375, I don't trust these people, most of car repairs shops are full of scam you will be lucky if you find a honest mechanic. Good luck to all consumers, and I believe LA County should should have oversight on all mechanics trace and penalize them indiscriminately, as you see in the invoice they worked only on my rear brake it is written on the invoice,also I got charged for brake pads and rotors which they did not do them, read more

Fixed a guy who walked in after me then a whole other car with no owner in sight while my car waited until 11:48 to be seen for no understandable reason.
