Within 30 minutes and for just $25, my nail-poked tire was fixed, and I even got to have informative and entertaining conversations with Aso (while waiting in the front office) and the staff (on my way out). Before contacting Jerry's, I had inquired with another local tire-repair place that had a high rating and an impressive photo of a waiting area much larger and more luxurious than Jerry's -- and they quoted $40 to fix the same tire. This is the second time I have come to Anto for help and ACE automotive has gotten the job done and handed me a bill that was less than expected. First was for racing tires on my roadster to make it track safe and high performing - the tires they sold me and mounted and balanced did excellent on the track. This most recent time was for a more complicated job of exchanging big off roaded beaded rim tires from one high end jeep to another. They re-balanced and found the source of a shimmy and corrected it. All in a couple hours and again, the bill was LESS than expected. I was getting a clunking noise on my Tesla Model Y after replacing the suspension with coilovers and could not figure it out. I was concerned that it could have been a broken suspension component because we had run over a curb accidentally. I was referred to Anto at Ace automotive that he is the man for all thing suspension related. I came by on a Friday to make an appointment and he was able to set me up for the following Monday morning. I brought it in and his team started troubleshooting and the sound. They looked over every suspension component and made sure every nut and bolt was properly torqued. Everything looked good but for some reason the spring kept binding, causing the noise. Anto scrubbed the forums and found that some other owners had the same issue and that the remedy was to adjust the preload on the spring. He debriefed me on everything his team did and informed me about adjusting the preload on the spring. That did the trick! I was super thankful that there was no damage to the car but also to Anto and his team for going above and beyond to troubleshoot the issue. I appreciate the transparency and honesty they provided. The mechanic out there overtightened my drain plug and refused to take responsibility on part of the company. His consolation: he'd do the labor for free...but he broke the oil pan the last time they overtightened the drain plug trying to knock it out, so he suggested I go drive to the other side of the county to buy one in case. The first week of February 2023 I came into Jerry's Auto Repair with my sister because she was told by Autozone that she had a faulty alternator and that it needed to be replaced. I live in Los Angeles, so I needed to find a shop that I trusted in Pasadena who wouldn't take advantage of my sister. After reading Jerry's Yelp reviews I was sold, because there were tons of women in the reviews that were impressed with how they were treated and the expert work they had received. Turns out the alternator was not faulty at all as AutoZone's test had suggested, but in perfect working condition. Once Jerry's performed a diagnostic test on the car and cleared out the error messages in the dashboard display, the initial bill went from $1,100 to $150 for the diagnostic. (I asked my sis if she could take me shopping with the money Jerry's saved her - she just laughed )! Even though we had given Jerry's the green light when we dropped the car off to replace the alternator (which they could have easily done), they did not because of their WORK ETHIC and HONESTY. My sister Diane and myself are so pleased that we are referring everyone that we know to bring their cars to Jerry's. Lastly, as a father of a daughter in college, I would not hesitate for one minute to send my daughter to Jerry's by herself to have her car checked out and repaired! I was at this place for maybe 5 minutes but it made a great impression. I work close by and I will definitely make Jerry's my go to place in the Pasadena area for tires. Long story short I felt another tire location messed up and didn't patch my tire right so I had full intentions on just having someone at Jerry's re patch it for me. They basically just had to even out the tire pressure on all of the tires and the low tire pressure light went off. The other place fixed the patch but didn't put the same tire pressure in wash tire therefor causing the problem.
