*DON'T DO IT - YOU'VE BEEN WARNED*…read more Michael was hired to "professionally clean" our 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and shampoo/vacuum/steam our carpet on 12/3/2019 at 9am but he came about 15 mins late. Whatever, it was fine. He initially quoted me $375-$425 on yelp but after our initial walk through he changed the quote to $492.15 because he didn't know our living room and hall way had carpet. Ok whatever, that's fine too. I just needed the place cleaned out. At the final walk through, he did his little calculation on his phone and quoted me $497.xx Kitchen: Micheal strategically cleaned out specific drawers/cupboards in my kitchen so that when we did the final walk through, he knew exactly which drawers to open to make like he actually cleaned. He told me he cleaned behind my fridge to which he did not do. He did not sweep or mop my kitchen floor and he left stains on my counter top (see picture). He states there was "roach infestation" and wasn't able to clean certain areas of the Kitchen but per the Terminators that we hired, there wasn't any activities (unnecessary money we spent believing Michael and his lies). Bathroom: This dude left under our bathroom sink untouched, left the bathtub faucet with soap scums, the toilet still had the toilet ring. The toilet itself was just wiped on the top but he left the sides and bottom untouched. Also left the bathroom floor as is, no sweeping and/or mopping. He strategically stood in the middle of the bathroom (our bathroom isn't that big) and explained everything so I was not able to get in and get a good look on everything he claimed he "cleaned" (see pictures). Carpet: This one pissed me off. This guy literally just put water on my carpet and ran his vacuum over it. He did not steam, shampoo or put any stain solution on it. I know this because we had to get another guy come in and do what Michael was suppose to do. *GO SEE EXCELLENCE CARPET - YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED* And he told us Michael did not do any of the above. When I did my walk through with Michael, I asked him about some stains on the carpet and he said "Yeah, I tried to get it off but it just wouldn't" - so funny he said that because when he left my husband scrubbed it off with a bottle cap and the stain came right off. Also, my two closets in the unit had carpet in them and this guy did not have the decency to at least vacuum the insides. Overall this guy and company is a SCAM!! Please please please don't hire these guys. I saw 2 previous bad reviews but I went with him anyway because he quoted me the least (ha!). I initially begged Michael to give us a refund back on our carpet or at least come back and re-do it but he said he asked his service manager and they are unable to do carpet refunds. It is funny he said because on yelp it says he is the owner. LOL Michael reached out to me after my Husband posted a review. All of the sudden he can do carpet refunds now, he requested that my Husband take off his review and he will refund us back $120 from our $497. He said he will only give me half of this $120 back AFTER I sign 'removal waiver with yelp' so no further can be posted. I told Michael he can keep my $120 and I'll write my review so that hopefully no one else can fall for his scamming ways. It was definitely a hard lesson to learn especially since it is the holidays and I have little kids to buy presents for. P.s Michael - Wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. Hope you buy them something nice with my $497 dollars. UPDATE: These pictures are my pictures and they are not meant for "black mailing" but to simply prove that Michael did such a bad job. I don't care about how much Mike quoted me. It is the service that you provided that I am dissatisfied with. And yes, please have Yelp review my account. The original contract was with the plumber (the plumber sub-contracts them) so we didn't experience creating any contract or making payments directly with this company so I can't comment on that. My review is for the professionalism, communication and work of the two workers, DJ and Brandon. They came on time and examined everything closely. We were dealing with a leak which led to opening up the drywall in two main locations: bathroom and kitchen. When they noticed there was still wet drywall in the kitchen and also an exposed electric wire, they immediately made calls to consult with their boss, express concerns, and make a plan. In the meantime, they finished the bathroom wall so efficiently. The kitchen job didn't get finished that day but all for good reasons- they really wanted to dry up the water inside the walls and left an industrial fan for us over the weekend to make sure everything was dry. I was grateful for this because we could've been dealing with mold later! The work was done in a few hours during their second visit, and they also made sure to clean everything, too. I'm clueless about construction but I do think I observed a lot of care, communication and professionalism. We told ourselves if we needed another job done we would get in touch with them. The demolition and installation of the sink and shower plumbing went quickly. Then the emergency calls started. Emergencies at other sites, personal emergencies and soon acts-of-god type situations started to happen. Soon, it was the end of August, September, October, November, December, January and February with no follow up work being done. Lots of "guarantee the work will get done, will be there tomorrow." We confirmed the dates and times, rearranged our work schedules (even at times other family gatherings or events) and were met with no shows. We were kind, thoughtful, understanding of the situations happening. We gave ample time for Lloyd to come by and continue the work. Communication was kept open but it was very one-sided where we initiated contact and was met with, "totally forgot about this or something came up." There were no other staff in this company that apparently could cover the work. My family shouldn't have to suffer because your life is falling apart. Run your company better, have backup plans for your clients if you are unable to get the work done. Or...refund the money paid when you break your own contract. The bathroom is for my mom because the other bathroom has a tub and not a shower. She's fallen twice in the tub since her bathroom's been under construction for so long. When we moved to get the work done by someone else, drywall had to be redone and the 3 piece shower installation taken out and reinstalled. Why? Mold resistant drywall was not used in the shower area and there was no backing in the installed shower pieces. We also found the the size of the vanity and the faucet bought were wrong sizes. It's a 150 sq. ft. bathroom. Additional out-of-pocket expenses: Medicine cabinet, new faucet, sink pipes/plumbing, window, mold resistant drywall, vanity lights. These items were all included in the original scope of service. We were left with a demolished bathroom and key pieces to the renovation (that were already paid for in full) missing. We are pursuing legal options and working on documentation. All this work is a hassle. We haven't been able to reach Lloyd to get the refund. Writing this review so others don't go through what we are going through.
