I appreciate that roadside assistance is difficult and that drivers want to be safe. However, on…read moreI-565 near Huntsville, I observed one United Towing truck loaded with a disabled vehicle well off the shoulder with lights on, but a second United Towing truck was parked with the rear end extending into a live traffic lane during peak traffic. Under Alabama traffic laws (AL Code §§ 32-5A-136 & 32-5A-137), vehicles stopped on highways should be positioned off the traveled portion of the roadway so there is an unobstructed width for traffic to pass safely. Because the second truck encroached into the lane, it forced vehicles into other lanes and caused drivers to brake abruptly, creating a dangerous situation for motorists. This wasn't just inconvenient--it was unsafe. I support tow operators and the services they provide, but proper placement and awareness are critical for safety. I hope United Towing reviews this incident with their team and emphasizes positioning vehicles completely off the roadway when possible. Forcing drivers to change lanes abruptly, rather than having the option to slow down, almost caused a five car pile up with me right in the middle of it. Do I support saftey of tow truck drivers? Yes. At the extent of violating the law and placing others in danger? No. The tow truck obstructing the lane was unnecessary in this particular case and was very unsafe. Please explain to your drivers that not all situations require a lane to be obstructed for the safety of your drivers, especially when it places others in harms way. Thank you. Reference: Alabama's "Move Over Act" (Section 32-5A-58.2) requires drivers to vacate the lane closest to vehicles stopped on the shoulder displaying lights (including wreckers/tow trucks) or slow down if changing lanes isn't safe. Under Alabama Code § 32-5A-136 and § 32-5A-137, a vehicle may not be stopped, standing, or parked on the traveled portion of a highway when it's practicable to stop off the roadway, and when stopped there an unobstructed width of the roadway must be left for free passage of other vehicles with clear visibility.

They lied to my face acting like I did not tell them what was going on with it. Make up some excuse and then acted unprofessional. He stepped into my face twice after me telling him to back off - where the second time I shoved him away from me. He punched me in the face multiple times while I restrained myself from fighting back. Cops were called and I will be pressing charges. DO NOT TRUST THESE DRUG ADDICTS! WORST MISTAKE BRINGING MY JEEP HERE. BEWARE!

I have my very own personal mechanic but unfortunately he is off duty the month of July every year, e called around and found this guy Tre, price quoted was cool , had my truck towed to him last Monday I only needed a flywheel replaced, my truck had sat in my driveway for about a month waiting on other things to line up before I could financially afford the price to repair, mind you I only needed a flywheel, we just purchased the vehicle from a dealership out in Fort Payne in November 2024 it only had 77k miles on it and it was running perfectly fine except for the flywheel issue, finally my money is right and it's towed to him via Mikes Wrecker service, the work done there next day, I had to wait a day to deposit my settlement monies, so finally get to him pay him the 2k plus a $100 tip and he knows it, I was told that everything went well he even gave me the old flywheel back to show how bad it was worn, he said there are no lights on or codes on my 2020 traverse , well I drove my subu home and my wife drove the traverse, we didn't notice at first upon our initial start up due to we were happy it was finally fixed. But the next few days of driving it we noticed it was loud upon start up like a drummer or banging sound , and we looked at each other as if do you hear that sound, my neighbor even heard It, but within a few minutes it got more tolerable, we thought maybe that's the engine doing that since it was just repaired we really didn't know, so later that day we got an engine light pop on and then you can smell exhaust fumes , took it to local parts store four different times that day and to see who knew what it really may be , the code is P0171 and I was curious as to why after topping off the fuel the consumption ratio was way off the truck is sucking down fuel since the repair we stay at the gas pumps, but texted him and called him at Bowen to let him know what's going on because remember we didn't have any other issues like this except the flywheel, I asked him if anyone may have left something unplugged, or could they have damaged my exhaust manifold because it has to removed accord to GM to replace a flywheel, Tre told me I had to pay another 189 diagnostic fee to see what happened, your shop happened! I can understand if I did something to my vehicle but I didn't,that truck has to transport my household to school, doctors , grocery stores etc. but to be basically brushed off as if my Truck did it to itself is crazy, it literally sputters when the AC is on, sitting at a light it seems to want to shut off ( not the auto stop) and last night when we picked up my wife from the ER we stopped at wafflehouse and the truck sounds like a damn helicopter, My Truck Wasn't Doing That before the visit and work done by Tre and his team. His response was " I would need to see it to determine if we caused it " hello you most certainly did cause it! It was a flywheel repair now the exhaust is leaking, burn lean system bank 1 , and I definitely did nothing but trust his work and reviews online, never again. I'm sure he will not find fault in his own work , that would discredit him! I wish I could upload the video I took of the truck at eagle house it was loud enough if the iPhone recorded it all! I will not Bash him but I will say record everything about your vehicle what's wrong with it , how it sounds etc because these things happen and the consumers are never protected!!! And shops get way with it,it's done so that you would hopefully bring your vehicle back to them when they're the ones that caused the secondary issue. I have video proof of what my truck sounds like before it went to Bowens!
