So far I've tried a couple of different pizzas, and each time I've been blown away. The ingredients are high quality and it all comes together after going into the wood-fired oven. I forgot to write a review when I tried this place for the first time at the Peach Fest this year but the memory of the taste of their pizza keeps lingering in my head & tastebuds !! S&J is a mobile restaurant that serves wood-fired pizzas. They can be found at markets and caters to private events. I was able to try one of their seasonal pizzas at the Peach fest. I'm not sure what the formal name for it is but I think it was just called peach pizza? Haha. They had brought the entire wood fire oven and we were able to see them make and serve from beginning to end. They cook their pizzas NY style. Thin and the crust was soooooo perfectly crispy. I can still remember how juicy the pizza was. Ana & D (sp?) were the two ladies making the pizzas and they were so awesome and fun! Because my friend and I were enjoying it so much and the crowd cleared the table so fast-- Ana and D quickly made another pizza and gave us bigger slices to eat. I've used S & J for both Office and event catering and both experiences were great! They've catered both a 50+ person and 500+ person event for me with happy people all around. They were very flexible for dietary restrictions and fast once they got setup. Seriously the best kind of pizza you could have around here in Atlanta. The pies are perfectly cooked in about 90 seconds in a wood fired stone oven. Not only is the dough so soft and crisp at the same time, but the toppings are phenomenal and bought locally. Way to support your local farmers, guys!! Recently discovered S&J's Pizza at my local farmers market. They source all of their ingredients from local farmers which is a plus and even add in some surprise elements into their pizzas. They had chive flowers on their chicken chef special pizza this past week and they were great! Oddly enough they tasted just like garlic! S&J just catered my daughter's Sweet 16 party. It was a huge hit! We had about 75 people here and they all raved about the food! The pizzas were amazing... better than most pizza places! Beyond the food itself everyone was so impressed with how unique it was. S&J set up their oven in our driveway... guest noticed the oven and set up as well as the aroma of the wood and pizza as soon as they got out of their cars. Watching them throw the pizza dough was fun. Again the food itself was incredible. The ladies went over the top to provide great service and make it a great experience. They couldn't have been more professional, concerned for creating a great experience or more pleasant. Phenomenal pizza with scratch-made and fresh, local ingredients. You can tell all of this just from trying a bite. I fell in love with this pizza recently at a wedding I was bartending as a very thoughtful wedding guest brought me a piece to try because everyone was raving about how good it was. I've tried most of the Naples style pizzas in Atlanta and this topped all of my favorites. I discovered S & J while visiting my daughter in Atlanta--as we always go to the farmers markets for lunch and marketing. The ritual is always a part of our family visits and the wood-fired pizza is THE lunch! It made sense for us to think of S & J's when planning her wedding. Food is an important part of my/our life and for me the key is fresh, local, organic when possible food---and it must be bountiful and delicious. This is what I discussed when I booked the event--and this is what we got. I knew the pizza was great--but I had not tasted the other offerings till the big day. We were so happy--the food was abundant and beautiful and amazingly fresh--we loved the casual elegance and our guests were well-fed and happy. We had local charcuterie, cheeses, salads and appetizers--and, of course--delicious pizza. Our guests chose their own toppings--and having a chef on site was so much fun for the guests. The staff was competent and professional. From the many conversations (thanks for putting up with my numerous calls!)---to the execution--we could not have been happier. They stayed in communication with us the entire planning process, they showed up on time, and made such AMAZING pizza!! It was a really unique touch to our reception because they bring the restaurant to you! Literally. It is a restaurant on wheels so to speak. Even guests at my reception that normally don't eat pizza were raving about the food! D added a nice personal touch as well with a personal pizza delivered right to our table and a pizza to take home with us at the end of the night! S + J's catered my wedding for me in June and I have to say, my Sicilian and New York family alike agree, this pizza stands up to some of the best and they are still raving about it! I loved the farm to table aspect, the presentation was rustic and produced an elegant atmosphere. We used S and J for our wedding in Oakland Cemetery this November, and I cannot say enough about them. We found them at our local farmer's market and fell in love with their delicious pizzas. We wanted something easy, fun, delicious, and local, and that is exactly what we got. The manager Deirdre was an absolute dream to work with. She answered every single question, even going above and beyond to cater to my gluten free, vegan and vegetarian guests. It POURED on our wedding day (good luck!) and despite the rain, the guests raved about the appetizers (meatballs were a huge hit as was the charcuterie platter and the spinach and artichoke dip) and the pizza was superb. My dad made wooden pizza trays for the pizzas, which was awesome after the rain. We recommend them to anyone who will listen. They are absolutely fantastic to work with, and made our event even more special! read more

We hired S & J's woodfired pizza for our Mother's Day event this year. What a great decision. D and her staff brought The mobile pizza oven and set it up so that everyone at the party could enjoy the experience of ordering their own individual pizza. From the moment they started setting up the oven and the tables to serve the food you could tell this was very professional. Everything that they did was first class. The food they prepared was made with local ingredients. The customer service and friendly interaction between D and our guest was a huge hit. We ordered several appetizers. Everything was incredible. Some of our choices were bacon wrapped jalapeños, Pigs in a blanket, spinach and artichoke dip, shrimp and baked Brie with toasted bread. They have a huge menu to select from. We found several choices that met everyone's satisfaction and then there's the pizza..... some of the best everyone had ever had. I would recommend them for your next event. What a terrible experience we had for our daughters wedding by using this pizza joint! To start with they arrived at the venue late without calling anyone that they were en route. My daughter, her husband, my wife and I were the first people to get pizza and to say the least it was cold! We were then told by numerous friends and family they only got one piece of cold pizza because there was not any more available. This pizza joint couldn't keep up with production therefore our guest got one piece of cold pizza. We had to reschedule the entire reception plan due to this pizza joint not delivering pizza on time albeit cold. My wife and I had three of our wedding professional vendors tell us if you haven't paid them I would not, they did not deliver. With all that being said, I email this pizza joint to express our dissatisfaction. I initially get a call from a cell phone from New York City and spoke with a lady that was very cordial, I expressed our concerns she stated she would have the owners contact me. Two days later I receive a voicemail from Sarah to call her either today or tomorrow-I call back within 10 minutes. I inform Sarah of our concerns and she stated we had to use a freight elevator and that is why pizza was cold and why we couldn't keep up with delivery. I reminded Sarah she was informed it was a second floor venue, which means either stairs or elevator and I also informed her I had ridden on the elevator and it was just as fast as any elevator. The conversation went down hill from there! In Sarah's pizza joint world they did nothing wrong. She was very loud and rude with her rebuttal She said she would have her husband contact me I said great. She stated I was keeping her from decorating her Christmas tree. I am still waiting on that phone call (8 Days now) from her husband. Now they contact my daughter and her new husband and say if we don't pay the final bill we will take you to court. How dare this two bit pizza joint threaten them! See you in court Sarah and I will have plenty of witnesses!!! read more

Awful customer service. Took almost a week to get in touch with someone by phone (they like to email) who called me from a NYC phone number and never left a message. Finally reached the catering manager who told me she would call me in a few hours to confirm policies. She called 2 days later and told me my catering event date was booked, although 2 days earlier, she told me it was open. This was very frustrating as I was planning a graduation party and time is of the essence. Unless you like getting the run around, don't book them for catering. read more
