    A few months ago Mr. Driss lost a silk shirt of mine. After months of me giving him more time to find it, he called to say he would replace it. I went down to the location to discuss him replacing it. He then told me that he didn't have to replace it because it was old. Buying it less than a year ago and wearing it once in a pandemic, I knew this not to be true and told him I would be back with a receipt. When I came back with printed receipt from an online order from Neiman Marcus for $230+ tax and shipping as well as a written letter for reimbursement, Mr. Driss told me that 1. Receipts are on carbon paper only. 2. That he would pay for a cleaning credit on one new shirt I bring to him. 3. His lawyer said he only has to reimburse me for %10 of the cleaning fee, about $3. I was never offered the $3, and I'm not sure why in my case the owner decided to not reimburse me like in the below negative review, but if it cost me $250 to spread the word that with $50-$75 more, you can sue and definitely get your money back, I can afford it. I didn't sue at the time because this guy turned into the devil before my eyes and I was scared off seeing him again. Every time I left his cleaners I was shaking from the interaction, and that was such a turnaround from when I was handing him money. All smiles at that time. Anyway, this guy's lawyer should know that the gotcha clause they have printed on the back of every receipt is an labeled an UNFAIR TERM in small claims, and you can always say you never saw it, like I didn't when I lost the original in my car immediately. S and L dry cleaners did not take reasonable care of my shirt, but the owner Mr. Driss hilariously told me several times that no one was wearing it.

    Just moved to Dallas from Houston and was looking for a dry cleaner when I happened on S&L. I dropped off what seemed like my whole closet and picked them up within 24hours. When you walk in you see the owner who is not only proud of his business but proud of his family. You can find his young daughter in the back learning the family business but most of all taking pride in what her father is building. When I picked up my clothes I miscounted one of my pants and he didn't charge me, tall a lot customer service. They say chase perfection and find excellence well I did just that with this place. Check them out and say Nasa sent you!

    This place was so helpful. I needed a pocket on a jacket fixed because the liner was ripping. I only waited for 5 minutes and paid a VERY reasonable price for the service. Definitely coming back to get some jeans altered.

    She made the pattern and sewed these and included a really nice pocket as an added bonus

    Very nice guy! Got my jacket cleaned perfectly. The owner is very kind and I got my jacket back quickly.

    BEWARE. Do NOT bring your clothes here. I brought two…read moredresses to be dry cleaned. One was a plain dress. The other was a yellow dress with flowing Acetate Fabric sleeves with pronounced radial pleats. I had run the yellow dress through the wash before and have gotten it dry cleaned twice with no effect to the pleats. I assumed getting it dry cleaned again would be fine. Upon pickup, the pleating in the yellow dress was faded, completely gone in some areas. I asked the woman what happened, I have not had this happen before the other two times I had gotten my dress dry cleaned. She said she didn't know, she would talk to the dry cleaning people and would call. I said okay, please call before you do ANYTHING to the dress. She agreed and said she would call me the next day. The next day around 2pm I decided to call. The woman picked up and said it would be ready on Thursday. I asked "I thought you said you would call before doing anything. What do you mean?" She kept repeating "it will be ready, they are working on it". She asked me if I wanted to speak to the owner. I said yes, please have the owner call. About three hours later, the same woman calls me. I assumed this meant she was the owner. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone PLEADING for her to not do anything to my dress, to tell the dry cleaning people to stop work. She kept refusing to do anything, repeating that I should trust her because she had been working here for 30 years. I changed my tactic. I said fine, if I trust you, please explain how you do the pleats. The pleats in the sleeve were radial. I wanted to be 100% certain that at least they were doing the pleats the way they were. But she did not even understand what I was asking. The next day I tried to call back twice. I wanted to leave a message, but the voicemail was full. The third time I called, the same woman at the counter picked up, rudely told me she was busy with a customer and could not talk to me and I called too many times. I drove over there and again begged her to call their people and ask them to stop working on the dress. She refused to do so. She told me my dress would be ready "maybe Thursday, maybe Friday, she would call me." When I asked about the original request to call, she said "Am I supposed to call all customers for every little thing? I don't have time!" I then attempted to explain that the dress means a lot to me. I got it in Italy while traveling. It cost me $550, which is not a small sum for me. She accused me of lying saying that she had been dry cleaning for 30 years and can tell this is a cheap dress made of cheap material. I pulled up the dress on a European website for sale in a different color, showing the originally listed price as 745 Euros which converts to $800. She called me a liar and that she knew better how much the dress cost. At this point I had to give up, I was getting nowhere with this woman who refused to actually work with me or respect what I was asking. A week later, no phone call, I decided to go back and see if the dress was ready. I am disgusted at the state of the dress that I picked up. The attached pictures show the ruinous state of the sleeves compared to the original. When I pointed this out to the woman at the counter, she told me that they can redo and they'll be more careful. I shudder to think what them doing it again would be! I said I would consider them redoing it again if we could make a deal. How do we move forward if the next time is bad? Would I receive compensation? She refused, saying that trying to work with it a third time was "all they can do." There will not be a third time, at the VERY least give me the money back for the cleaning. She said she couldn't refund my card because she didn't know how, but if I left the full card details on a piece of paper she would ask the owner to do it. Seriously? Leave my credit card number on a piece of paper and expect strangers to not lose it or misuse it? I have never seen not only such appalling customer service but such blatant disrespect and disregard for other people's property.
